Real-time multi-factor adaptive task scheduling model for improved QoS in cloud environment

The task scheduling and data security issue in the cloud is well-studied, and different approaches exist around the problem. Most approaches consider makespan, throughput, delay, and others in task scheduling. The existing methods need better performance in various quality of service metrics as they consider only limited features of task scheduling. To overcome these issues, an efficient multi-factor adaptive task scheduling (MATS) is presented in this article. The method considers the cost, delay, and utilization of various services in selecting a service for task scheduling. According to the factors mentioned above, the method applies MFTS scheduling which approximates the factors toward maximizing the QoS performance. The MFTS algorithm computes Cost Support Measure (CSM), Delay Centric QoS Support Measure (DCQSM), and Utilization Support Measure (USM). Using all these measures, the value of Selection Weight (SW) is measured to support scheduling. Further to maximize data security, the proposed MATS model discovers the routes and estimates Quality Centric Transmission Support (QCTS) to identify an optimal route to support QoS maximization. The MATS scheduling approach achieves higher QoS performance with data security.

Convergent-divergent (C-D) nozzles are widely used in the aerospace industry to produce thrust at the exit by increasing the velocity and converting the subsonic flow of gases at the inlet into supersonic flow at the outlet. For enhanced flow characteristics, the design of C-D nozzles must be optimized. In this study, the design parameters of the C-D nozzle of a high-speed rocket i.e. throat diameter, convergent angle, and divergent angle are optimized using the Taguchi method. Design of Experiments (DOE)is performed based on Taguchi’s L9 orthogonal array by altering the above-mentioned design parameters at three levels. Based on DOE, the nozzles are designed using SolidWorks, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis is performed on ANSYS. The response flow characteristics i.e. exit Mach number, exit velocity, and exit pressure (calculated through simulations) are analyzed using the Taguchi method to find the optimized set of parameters. The results depict that shock waves appear in some of the nozzle models from DOE. Other nozzles without shock waves provide perfect supersonic flow at the outlet of the rocket nozzle by increasing the velocity and reducing the pressure. The maximum Mach number at the outlet of the C-D nozzle for the given DOE is 3.45 for the given design, a smaller throat diameter provides better results. Based on Taguchi’s S/N ratio analysis, the optimized set of design parameters that can give a high Mach number at the outlet, high velocity at the outlet, and low pressure at the outlet, is 0.304 m throat diameter, 28o convergent angle and 20o divergent angle. © 2025 Jordan Journal of Mechanical and Industrial engineering. This research study investigates the potential design of autonomous robots for developing the domestic and industrial applications. The system underwent rigorous testing in both commercial and residential settings, demonstrating exceptional performance in navigation and achieving near-perfect scores in manipulation. Autonomous robots possess the capacity to enhance productivity, reduce expenses, and enhance safety in various scenarios, as emphasized in the literature. The report also outlines potential avenues for future research, which encompass the development of enhanced sensors and perceptual systems, collaborative systems, and advanced decision-making algorithms. In general, this study constitutes a crucial contribution to the expanding corpus of information pertaining to self-governing robots and will facilitate their prospective conception, advancement, and integration.

Over the past years, the number of students going abroad for higher studies and settling abroad has increased a lot in northern states of India mainly in Punjab whereas it's significantly less in south India. The purpose of this research is to find the reasons for the brain drain also analyzing the strategies used by south Indian universities so that those ideas can be implemented in Punjab so that the brain drain can be reduced. Using a credits composition analysis for two universities, this study analyzed that the College in Punjab had more credits towards practical and college in South India had more credit composition towards theory. This analysis gave us a result that Panimalar engineering College has found a sweet spot in the composition of credits along with some other factors. Using a comparative analysis of various factors for various south Indian Universities along with Punjab University, we have found out that there are many other factors that also influence's the brain drains along with Industry Institute Relationship. We have found out the methodologies used by south Indian universities to prevent brain drain. This study definitively answers the question regarding reasons for brain drain in Punjab along with the solutions to overcome it. Further Detailed studies are needed along with the implementation of these ideas to develop preventative measures.

Autonomous air taxis are poised to revolutionize urban mass transportation. A key challenge inhibiting their adoption is ensuring the safety and reliability of the autonomy solutions that will control these vehicles. Validating these solutions on full-scale air taxis in the real world presents complexities, risks, and costs that further convolute the challenge of ensuring safety and reliability of these autonomous vehicles. Verification and Validation (V&V) frameworks play a crucial role in the design and development of highly reliable systems by formally verifying safety properties and validating algorithm behavior across diverse operational scenarios. Advancements in high-fidelity simulators have significantly enhanced their capability to emulate real-world conditions, encouraging their use for validating autonomous air taxi solutions, especially during early development stages. This evolution underscores the growing importance of simulation environments, not only as complementary tools to real-world testing but as essential platforms for evaluating algorithms in a controlled, reproducible, and scalable manner. This work presents a V&V framework for a vision-based landing system for air taxis with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities. Specifically, we use Verse, a tool for formal verification, to model and verify the safety of the system by obtaining and analyzing the reachable sets. To conduct this analysis, we utilize a photorealistic simulation environment. The simulation environment, built on Unreal Engine, provides realistic terrain, weather, and sensor characteristics to emulate real-world conditions with high fidelity. To validate the safety analysis results, we conduct extensive scenario-based testing to assess the reachability set and robustness of the landing algorithm in various conditions. Web usage mining is a type of data mining that extracts the server log information after users browse web pages. For extracting and retrieval information machine learning approaches are designed to recognize useful information from text documents automatically. The main aim of this paper is to cram weblogs using the clustering technique with WEBASTRO tool for predicting next user movement and user behaviour analysis. In the age of big data, analysing complex and enormous amounts of data costs time and money and might result in mistakes and misunderstandings. Therefore, bad inference and decision-making, and occasionally irreversible and catastrophic occurrences, could result from imprecise and mistaken reasoning. On the other hand, effective administration and use of priceless data can considerably expand knowledge and lower costs through preventive measures. Time-to-event and survival data analysis are the cornerstones of risk assessment in this area and play a crucial part in estimating the likelihood of numerous occurrences, including the failure of a device or component. As a result, before beginning any analytic process, it is desirable to apply appropriate approaches to effectively reduce large-scale, huge, and complex data, especially in terms of variables. To minimize the abovementioned decision-making challenges and to make survival data and failure analysis easier, we offer an applied data reduction strategy in this research that enables us to obtain appropriate multiclass classification in large dimensionality data and huge datasets. In order to estimate the risk in addition make decisions in the context of a complex analysis of big volume in survival analysis, this research presents an applied analysis data and attribute selection methodology.

Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) show a major part in computer cyber defense by detecting and reacting to unauthorized activities. These systems monitor network and system activity, evaluating developments to identify possible security breaches. Enhancing Detection Rates in IDS includes optimizing algorithms, employing Machine Learning (ML) approaches, and employing intrusion detection to enhance the system's functionality to find novel vulnerabilities immediately. Continuous improvement in detection capabilities is essential for adapting to evolving challenges from cyberspace and maintaining resilience of the online infrastructure. To enhance the detection rates, data preprocessing like min-max normalization, followed by t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE) feature extraction technique to capture most discriminative attributes for attack classifications. The established Genetic Fuzzy Systems (GFS) throughout paired learning framework for detecting input attack. The model enhances accuracy for unusual attack occurrences by better distinguishing between normal activity and distinct attack categories. To proposed Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) as a classifier for enhancing detection rates. This research explores the performance of the proposed GFS-GAN model on two prominent intrusion detection datasets are the TII-SSRC-23 for dataset 1 and NSL-KDD for dataset 2. The suggested GFS-GAN model demonstrated exceptional performance on the TII-SSRC-23 dataset, achieving 99.23% accuracy. The GFS-GAN model also performed well on the NSL-KDD dataset, with an accuracy of 99.13%, The findings illustrate GANs' capabilities to progress the efficacy and durability of IDS, resulting in effective protection against complicated cyber-attacks.

One of the most severe issues in the context of rapidly growing intelligent cities is the safety of pedestrians at urban crosswalks. To address this issue, the system developed an embedded vision system for real-time pedestrian detection and to enhance safety at crosswalks. A camera module captures real-time video, an image processor analyzes the captured data using a pedestrian detection algorithm, and a microcontroller manages the system's other functions. Our system can accurately identify pedestrians inside the crossing area using deep learning-based object detection models. If pedestrians are detected, an LED warning system alerts drivers to either slow down or stop, drastically decreasing the possibility of an accident. A real-time pedestrian count and any applicable safety warnings are also shown on an LCD screen. By connecting with existing systems, this smart technology may significantly improve the security of smart cities for pedestrians. Preliminary testing has demonstrated the technology has great potential for deployment in real-world urban environments.
