Oral tablets have remained the most common dosage form by which drugs are usually administered to patients because of their advantages over the other dosage forms. The rate of release of drug from the tablet to know the drug availability is based on the process of disintegration and dissolution. In order to formulate orally fast disintegrating tablet (FDT), the usage of appropriate binder is also important which can drastically increase the rate of dissolution of oral dosage. In this study, Binders from different origins were used via wet granulation at concentrations ranging from 1.0 -5.0% w/w to make paracetamol tablets, The mechanical and release properties of paracetamol tablets formulated with Cashew gum (CAG), Povidone (PVP), Gelatin (GEL), Okra gum (OKG) and Hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HMPC) as binders were studied and compared. The CANAL technique of data mining is proposed to show that the BFI values of tablets formulated with OKG were the lowest at all binder concentrations and which can increase the rate of dissolution with moderate the disintegration time. For the CANAL technique, sample calculated data of the measured tensile strength (TS), brittle fracture index (BFI), friability (F), disintegration time (DT) and percentage of drug released (PDR) of different binder agent formulation were used. The drug release of the Paracetamol tablet from a particular formulation is taken on 15th min and compared with the other formulation. Finally the significant method of formulation with appropriate binder with the average concentration is identified and thus the fast dissolution rate of soluble drug was attained using CANAL technique of data mining. Microsoft Business Intelligence Analysis Service 2008 software is used to ensure the CANAL technique. Sample statistical data were passed as input to this analysis services tool to find a feasible formulation method using CANAL technique of data mining. In this paper, a ITO algorithm inspired by ITO stochastic process is proposed for Traveling Salesmen Problems (TSP), so far, many meta-heuristic methods have been successfully applied to TSP, however, as a member of them, ITO needs further demonstration for TSP. So starting from designing the key operators, which include the move operator, wave operator, etc, the method based on ITO for TSP is presented, and moreover, the ITO algorithm performance under different parameter sets and the maintenance of population diversity information are also studied.

A GIS-based decision support system was proposed and implemented in this study for management of hazardous chemical spill accident (DSS-HCS). It could forecast the dynamics of the pollution on the coast and warn the regions with high risk of being polluted in the early stage of the accident. Afterword, it could assist the assessment of the ecologic damages. The development of such a tool integrated various computer and computational techniques including Net programming, GIS, web, database, numerical modeling and etc. Linking with GIS, a desktop-based decision support tool was developed to provide the user interactive environment for simulating the pollutants transport, hazards mapping, and ecologic damage assessment. A web-based data portal was also implemented to publish the results of forecasting and monitoring. A study case in Hangzhou Bay, China was selected to demonstrate the applicability of the developed DSS-HCS. The study results showed that the proposed DSS-HCS could not only assist the decision making in response to the accident with awareness of the risk, but also offer technical supports for ecologic damage assessment and compensation claim. Through integration of the forecasting, monitoring and assessment of marine pollution into a GIS environment, various types of results (e.g. hazardous maps, reports, queries and etc) could be obtained and thus the efficiency of the management process were improved.

Stable Route Link in on-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol for Ad Hoc Networks

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are provisionally connected networks with no permanent infrastructure. A mobile ad hoc network is a self-organized and energetically reconfigurable wireless network without wired infrastructure and central administration. Nodes in the mobile ad hoc network can immediately create a communication structure while each node moves in a random way. Multicasting is capable of performing required services for ad hoc applications. The dynamic nature of the network topology and limited resources, maintaining and finding the path for multicasting data is still further challenging. Several protocols have been designed for multicasting in mobile ad hoc networks. On demand multicast routing protocol is one such protocol. ODMRP is mesh based and on-demand protocol that uses forwarding group to communicate a mesh for each multicasting group. The aim of the proposed algorithm is to find the stable path selection in ODMRP for forwarding packets. The basic on demand multicast routing protocol path selection uses minimum delay principle. The proposed algorithm considers node energy in path selection from source to destination. This article discusses the studies on output parameters such as control overhead and end to end delay by varying the input parameters viz., multicast groups size and mobility in the developed algorithm. Experimental results confirm that this approach can improve stability of path due to node energy consumption.

IEEE 802.15.4 Low rate wireless personal area networks (LR-WPANs) offer device level wireless connectivity. They bring to light a host of new applications as well as enhance existing applications. Due to their low cost, low power consumption and self-organization features, LR-WPANs are ideal for applications such as public security, battle field monitoring, inventory tracking as well as home and office automation. Nevertheless, one critical issue, security, needs to be solved before LR-WPANs are commonly accepted. Pursuing security in LR-WPANs is a challenging task. On one hand, wireless communications are inherently susceptible to interception and interference. On the other hand, most devices in LR-WPANs are resource-constrained and lack physical safeguards. DDoS attacks are a major security problem in wireless networks. DDoS is that lots of clients simultaneously send service requests to certain server on the internet thro wireless network such that this server is too busy to provide normal services for others. Attackers using legitimate packets and often changing package information, so that traditional detection methods based on feature descriptions are difficult to detect it. To date, various approaches have been proposed to detect DDoS attacks, but with limited success when they are used in the real world. This paper mainly focus on comparative analysis of DDoS attacks, detection and mitigation techniques are generally used. Beside this, we investigate about the approaches proposed that are considered efficient to survive in DDoS attacks. Finally, we conclude by highlighting the potential areas which can be targeted to optimized in minimizing the effects of DDoS attacks

We consider the problem of distributed partitioning of an environment by a set of robots so that each robot performs its operations in the region within the corresponding cell. Voronoi partitioning is one of the most attractive techniques that has been used to solve this problem. It has been used in several distributed multi-robotic system and sensor network applications, such as sensor coverage, search and rescue, and coverage path planning. For a truly distributed implementation of such problems, each robot should be able to compute the corresponding Voronoi cell in a distributed manner. Further, in a practical application, the robots' sensors may have limited range, thus each robot may operate within a portion of its Voronoi cell constrained by the sensor range. We describe a distributed algorithm for computation of this range constrained Voronoi cell where each robot independently constructs chords corresponding to other robots that are within a distance of twice its sensor circle radius. A robot then uses a simple and fast technique to remove inessential chords to calculate the vertices of its Voronoi cell. We prove completeness and correctness of the proposed algorithm, and also provide the upper and lower bounds on the computational complexity of our algorithm. The theoretical results are validated with the help of experiments to show that for different values of sensor ranges, our proposed algorithm incurs a time complexity that is significantly lower than that of the existing full Voronoi partition computation algorithm. The maximum number of steps required by our algorithm is also shown to be within a constant times the lower bound given by the number of neighbors of each node.

Recent technologies make it possible to know about anything that happens in any part of the world to be made available to any person at any place and at any time. In this direction the services provided by Yahoo, CNN, CNET etc. are enormous that cater to the needs for a greater part of the globe to acquire timely and informative news about anything. Though search engines and with various news providers, present web scenario is capable of providing information in variety of ways, it is a fact that not all news are relevant for all people. That is, user satisfaction as well as user preferences must be taken into account while providing news items. In this regard, the need for personalization arises whereby users can obtain relevant information of their interests through technologies. Personalized news provisions make the readers to get information of their choice, thereby the time involved in searching the news of their taste is greatly minimized. This paper focuses on the design of a personalized news provider (PNP) system for searching automobile news documents as per the user's interests using traditional and classical optimization method.

Assessment of vascularity of conjunctiva has many diagnostic and prognostic applications, thus creation of computational methods for its fast and objective assessment is of importance. Here we provide two different methods for estimation of conjunctiva's vascularity from color digital images, with our best results showing a correlation coefficient of 0.89 between the predicted and ground truth values using a committee of artificial neural networks.

Dimensionality reduction is an essential feature to reduce the complexity of the computations in the large data set environment. When handling large quantum of medical data set, as in the case like, Lung cancer prediction, based on symptoms and Risk factors, number of attributes/ dimensions pose a major challenge. Here in this study an attempt is made to compare the performance of the attribute selection models prior and after applying the classifier models. A total of 16 classifier models are chosen, which are based on statistical, rule based, logic based and artificial Neural network approaches. Feature set selection and ranking of attributes are done based on individual models. Confusion matrix of the models before and after dimensionality reduction is computed. Based on the confusion matrix result the models are compared and based on the performance optimal model is chosen. It is found that Multi-layer perceptron based artificial neural network model gives better performance compared to other approaches.
