Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). We introduce a method to evaluate the similarities between classes of objects based on the confusion matrices coming from the multi-class machine learning (ML) predictors that operate in the vector space generated by the classes. Operation in the confusion domain allows us to use the distance as evaluation metric of the closeness of the relevant properties carried by the classes. We applied the method to semiquantitatively evaluate the effects of X-ray and carbon ion radiation on cultured SW1353 chondrosarcoma cells with respect to the non-irradiated reference. We prove that it is possible to draw useful information on the strength of cells nuclei changes. © 2025, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.

Our research group, interested in outdoor scenes, has developed a methodology to register a CAD model of a city, with images taken with video cameras installed in a car, while driving city streets. So, we can merge video captured data and the render of elements of the model into one image, forcing real and virtual camera points of view, orientations and parameters to coincide. Consequently, we generate real-video sequences and can insert, in real time, virtual objects congruently placed in relation to real objects of the scene. With the aim of increasing realistic likeness of inserted objects, we propose an alternate method that uses view synthesis techniques instead of render techniques. From a finite set of pictures of a real object, taken from different points of view, we are able to generate any point of view object projection, to be inserted in the physical coherent location. © 2003 by Springer Science+Business Media New York.

In computer vision, texture plays an important role. In this work we propose five human perceptual texture features heuristically extracted. Since a modeling can not be obtained from these features, we use a discriminant analysis technique to examine the discriminant power of each texture descriptor in order to select the most relevant. This task is done by a stepwise inclusion of variables indicating, furthermore, whether all of them are valuable and necessary producing a set of optimal discriminant variables. These selection procedures have been tested using Brodatz texture images, a benchmark in texture analysis. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 1998.

This paper presents two modern modulation techniques applied to three phase inverters from a hardware implementation point of view. The considered techniques are the sinusoidal pulse width modulation with zero sequence injection and the space vector modulation. Both these techniques conduct to the same result regarding supply voltage usage efficiency and harmonic content of the resulted signals. The implementation was developed in Matlab-Simulink using the System Generator software, and validated through simulation. Both the modulation algorithms were implemented in hardware on a low cost FPGA, and the resulted designs are compared for resource usage efficiency, obtained speed and easiness of integration within a complex AC drive control system. © 2013 IEEE.

Magnetic measurement is a typical inverse problem in Biomedical field. In this kind of problem we always need to locate the positions and moments of one or more magnetic dipoles. Although using the traditional methods to solve this kind of inverse problem has all kinds of shortcomings, BPNN (Back Propagation Neural Networks) method can be used to solve this typical inverse problem fast enough for real time measurement. In the traditional BPNN method, gradient descent search method is performed for error propagation. In this paper the authors propose a new algorithm that Newton method is performed for error propagation. For the cost function is highly nonconvex in the magnetic measurement problem, the new kind of BPNN can get convergent results quickly and precisely. A simulation result for this method is also presented.

control-flow dependence has always been posited as a substantial dilemma against program acceleration. With the availability of instruction-level parallel architectures, ifconversion optimization has become pivotal for extracting parallelism from serial programs. While many if-conversion optimization heuristics have been proposed in the literature, few of them investigated the proximity to optimality paying more concern to the input program subjectively. In this paper, we study the effectiveness of the LLVM if-conversion transformation using a broad range optimality analysis technique. The whole optimization space of branch instructions within an arbitrarily selected hotspot function of a program is analyzed, tackling the best-performing combination sequence of converted or non-converted branches. In order to precisely observe the influence of selectively converted branches we magnify individual function call and study the behavior with different call circumstances and input data detecting the impact of data size and distribution. We implemented our technique on LLVM 3.6.1 compilation infrastructure and experimented on several representative kernels of the SPEC-CPU2006 vl.l benchmarks suite running on a multicore system of Intel(R) Xeon(R) 3.50GHz processors. Our findings show a performance gain up to 22.7% at the best optimization over the standard optimized code, indicating the need for more aggressive compilation optimization that is able to capture the individual characteristics of every branch. © 2016 Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS).

Cascaded Buck conversion system is a typical structure in dc distributed power system (DPS). It is known that, the interaction between its individually designed power modules/subsystems may cause the instability problem of the whole system. The traditional solution is to design this system by Middlebrook criterion. However, authors found that, even if the entire system meets Middlebrook criterion, the fast scale instability problem may still occurs. In order to analyse and solve this problem, this paper presents a fast scale model for the cascaded buck conversion system. By this model, the essential reason for fast scale intsability problem is explained and a phase-shifted-carrier (PSC) solution is also proposed. Finally a 48 V-24 V-5 V 200 W cascaded system is built, and the experimental results confirmed the theoretical analysis.1 © 2015 IEEE.

In this paper we address the question of "Why is it that a mobile robot, programmed in a certain way and placed in some environment to execute a program, behaves in the way it does?". We present three real world experiments in which we first obtain transparent controllers to express sensor-motor couplings of a mobile robot. We then use these models to analyze the robot behaviour formally;in particular to understand how the sensor readings are related to motor commands, to evaluate the derived controllers from a mathematical point of view and even to predict the behaviour of the robot in untested environments. © 2011 IEEE.

Document Clustering is one of the popular techniques that can unveil inherent structure in the underlying data. Two successful models of unsupervised neural networks, Self-Organizing Map (SOM) and Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) have shown promising results in this task. The high dimensionality of the data has always been a challenging problem in document clustering. It is common to overcome this problem using dimension reduction methods. In this paper, we propose a new two-level neural network based document clustering architecture that can be used for high dimensional data. Our solution is to use SOM in the first level as a dimension reduction method to produce multiple output clusters, then use ART in the second level to produce the final clusters using the reduced vector space. The experimental results of clustering documents from the RETURES corpus using our proposed architecture show an improvement in the clustering performance evaluated using the entropy and the f_measure. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2004.
