Augmented reality has become a very powerful tool nowadays. With the recent technological advance, smartphones have the ability to display augmented content on the screen. What makes the difference is the naturalness with which the multimedia content is superimposed over the video stream acquired with the phone's camera. This perfect overlay depends on the accurate estimation of the position and orientation of the smartphone's camera relative to the 3D representation of the space. ARCore is an augmented reality framework that computes the position and orientation of the smartphone. In order to assess the possibility of integrating ARCore within a virtual and augmented reality platform, we evaluated the accuracy of the ARCore localization technology, using the HTC Vive system as a reference. We designed an evaluation methodology, along with visualization tools that enable a thorough comparison between these two technologies.

In this paper, the predictive control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (IPMSM) based on the Active Flux (AF) concept is developed. The speed tracking is based on a linear PI controller in the external loop, while the fast variables as the electromagnetic torque, or currents, and magnetic flux are compensated by a predictive controller. The set points of the current and torque are generated by a lookup table searching and a spline interpolation process with Maximum Torque Per Ampere (MTPA) algorithm. The cost function has been improved by adding the AF term. In this case, it is searched the magnetic flux that ensures the high torque developed by the IPMSM. The numerical simulations performed for different cost functions present different particularities. The cost function form influences the output response of the speed and torque. It can be concluded that the cost function may be selected for reducing the computational effort based on statistical analysis.

This article aims to calculate the net income achieved by a prosumer for an existing On-Grid system of photovoltaic panels consisting of a set of 12 poly crystalline panels with a nominal power of 250 Wand 60 cells and an On-Grid inverter (StecaGrid model) with a maximum power of 3000 W. The prosumer is located in southern Romania, Ilfov County. Modeling of the photovoltaic panel in Matlab / SIMULINK was performed using a mathematical model, and it was compared with a real data set. Next, an analysis was made of the energy produced by the photovoltaic system, and the energy consumed by the prosumer, the excess energy being introduced in the national energy system. We have achieved a net income saving for March, so the analyzed photovoltaic system has energy efficiency that can significantly reduce electricity costs over time. Thus, using the Matlab / Simulink model, photovoltaic systems can be designed to satisfy the needs of prosumers.

In the context of SaaS (Software as a Service) where software has to be up and running 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, keeping the requirements specification and related test cases up to date can be difficult. Managing requirements in this context has additional challenges that need to be taken into account, for instance, re-prioritize requirements continuously and identify/update new dependencies among them. When requirements change, related test cases need to be updated accordingly. We claim that extracting and analyzing the usage of the SaaS can help to maintain requirements and test cases updated and contribute to improve the overall quality of the services provided. This paper presents an extension to REQAnalytics. REQAnalytics is a recommendation system that collects information about the usage of a SaaS and generates recommendations to improve the SaaS provided. The evolution involves extending the analysis performed over the sequences of functionalities (requirements) and refining the data provided for Software Requirements Specification, with the purpose of helping the requirements engineers in the requirement maintenance activities, and to improve the overall quality of the services. Furthermore, the extension presented in this paper is able to generate test cases in a regression testing context.

The state of network paths is of great importance for the quality and reliability of the transmission of information coming from the IoT devices. Changing network conditions cause the state of a single path to be highly unpredictable, especially when large-scale IoT networks, connecting thousands of specialized devices, are in use. The solution to this problem is to perform trials in a real environment, with the use of real hardware. The rationalization of the design, the implementation and the exploitation of the process will be the main benefit of this approach. In this demonstration, a testbed infrastructure for the estimation of the state of path parameters in wired and wireless networks is presented. The estimation is based mainly on active measurements performed with the use of the Probing Packet Trains method. The key elements of the testbed infrastructure are locally and remotely controlled energy-efficient single-board computers, working under the control of the Linux operating system, which are equipped with software able to track (in manual or automatic mode) changing conditions of a given transmission path.
