The paper consists in the use of some logical functions decomposition algorithms with application in the implementation of classical circuits like SSI, MSI and PLD. The decomposition methods use the Boolean matrix calculation. It is calculated the implementation costs emphasizing the most economical solutions. One important aspect of serial decomposition is the task of selecting “best candidate” variables for the G function. Decomposition is essentially a process of substituting two or more input variables with a lesser number of new variables. This substitutes results in the reduction of the number of rows in the truth table. Hence, we look for variables which are most likely to reduce the number of rows in the truth table as a result of decomposition. Let us consider an input variable purposely avoiding all inter-relationships among the input variables. The only available parameter to evaluate its activity is the number of “l”s or “O”s that it has in the truth table. If the variable has only “1” s or “0” s, it is the “best candidate” for decomposition, as it is practically redundant.

In this paper, the authors continue the researches described in [1], that consists in a comparative study of two methods to eliminate the static hazard from logical functions, by using the form of Product of Sums (POS), static hazard “0”. In the first method, it used the consensus theorem to determine the cover term that is equal with the product of the two residual implicants, and in the second method it resolved a Boolean equation system. The authors observed that in the second method the digital hazard can be earlier detected. If the Boolean equation system is incompatible (doesn’t have solutions), the considered logical function doesn’t have the static 1 hazard regarding the coupled variable. Using the logical computations, this method permits to determine the needed transitions to eliminate the digital hazard.

Operating wind turbines produce infrasound noise thus they act on the environment. This also applies to small wind turbines, which are located in the immediate vicinity of human settlements. Small wind turbines can be located close to buildings and mounted directly on their walls and roofs. In this case, it is important to determine the level of environmental impact of such type of installation. Measurement results of infrasound noise generated by a small vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT), rated power 1 kW, are presented in the paper. Analysis results of sound pressure level and dependence of signal spectra from different wind speeds are shown. In the analysis of sound pressure level the G weighing curve was used according to the ISO 7196:2002 standard and achieved results were referred to the limits contained in the current legislation, what allowed for evaluation of the infrasound noise impact of the turbine under study.

The paper presents analysis results of sound pressure level of infrasound noise generated by brand new wind turbine from REPOWER type MM92, rated power 2 MW. As results the amplitude spectra of noise for three chosen wind speed values are presented. Additionally, distributions of the sound pressure level with dependence on wind speed for selected resonant and median frequency values are presented. For chosen frequencies linear regression analysis was performed and subjected for a detailed evaluation. Analysis results of sound pressure level of infrasound noise generated by high-power wind turbine Vensys type 62, which is operated for five years with an electrical capacity of 1.2 MW, are presented in the paper. Frequency and time-frequency spectrograms calculated for recorded low-frequency signals with respect to all registered changes of electrical power generated and the number of rotor revolutions per minute are presented. All measured sound pressure levels have been evaluated with and without the use of G weighting curve, which have helped to determine the size of infrasound impact of turbines and to analyze the influence of regarded parameters on this impact range of changes. This work presents an image vectorization application aimed to exploit features found in most of today's modern architectures. Design decisions supported by performance results are presented along with use cases for the proposed solution. We will present the algorithm, the target architectures and threading models, as well as a number of optimization techniques.
