In this paper, the application of Reduced-Order Active Disturbance Rejection controller (RADRC) for processes with significant time delay is analysed. In this paper, the possibility of using the virtual commissioning for developing the advanced controllers for example of electric flow heater is presented. First, based on the process measurement data, the virtual environment is prepared. Then, for selected advanced control algorithms, both virtual and real commissioning was carried out. The results are discussed in the paper and they demonstrate the impact of the applied commissioning method on the control performance provided by each of considered control algorithms.

In this paper a method of controlling a wheelchair using the video stream from two cameras is proposed. The cameras are placed on the side of the wheelchair having as main purpose to detect the edge between the floor and the wall. The images obtained are processed, thus obtaining an inclination angular error and a lateral errorfrom the desired trajectory, which is considered at the middle of the distance between the two lateral references. With the combined information from the camera and from the sensors conveniently placed on the system, the navigation inside a building with corridors delimited either by walls, by lines or by transitions is achieved.

This paper proposes a convex approach to the Frisch-Kalman problem that identifies the linear relations among variables from noisy observations. The problem was proposed by Ragnar Frisch in 1930s, and was promoted and further developed by Rudolf Kalman later in 1980s. It is essentially a rank minimization problem with convex constraints. Regarding this problem, analytical results and heuristic methods have been pursued over a half century. The proposed convex method in this paper is demonstrated to outperform several commonly adopted heuristics when the noise components are relatively small compared with the underlying data.
