The paper contents the optimization of the washing processes which are characterized by large consumption of water and electrical energy mainly. For this reason is very important deal with them. For the optimization process of washing it is possible to set up an access of the indirect modeling that is based on make-up of mathematical models coming out of study of the physical operation mechanism. The process is diffusion character it is characterized by the value of diffusion effective coefficient and so called structure power of the removing item to the solid phase. The mentioned parameters belong to input data that are important for the automaticcontrol of washing process.

This work presents the co-simulation approach to the analysis of control systems containing detailed models of electromagnetic and electromechanical converters. In this method of analysis the attention is paid to the whole system and not only to its electromagnetic part. The latter is described by equations resulted from the two-dimensional finite element discretisation of the Maxwell equations, and is coupled weakly with the remaining part of the system. The simulation is carried out in Matlab/Simulink environment wherein the coupling is realised through the S-function. Example results regarding simulation of the operation of the control system of an electrical machine and the operation of a power electronic converter are presented and compared with available reference data.

The paper presents a procedure for creating a probabilistic finite-state model for a mobile robot and for finding a sequence of controllers ensuring the highest probability for reaching a desired region. The approach starts by using results for controlling affine systems in simpliceal partitions, and then it creates a finite representation with history-based probabilities on transition. This representation is embedded into a Petri Net model with probabilistic costs on transitions, and a highest probability path to reach a target region is found. This probabilistic framework is suitable for controlling mobile robots based on more complex specifications.

In this paper, a microgrid hierarchical control scheme is proposed which includes primary and secondary control levels. The primary level comprises distributed generators (DGs) local controllers. The local controller mainly consists of active and reactive power controllers, voltage and current controllers, and virtual impedance loop. A novel virtual impedance structure is proposed to achieve proper sharing of non-fundamental power among the microgrid DGs. The secondary level is designed to manage compensation of voltage harmonics at the microgrid load bus (LB) to which the sensitive loads may be connected. Also, restoration of LB voltage amplitude and microgrid frequency to the rated values is directed by the secondary level. These functions are achieved by sending proper control signals to the local controllers. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of proteins is a robust and reproducible technique. It is the most widely used separation tool in proteomics. Current efforts in the field are directed at development of tools for expanding the range of proteins accessible with two-dimensional gels. Proteomics was built around the two-dimensional gel. The idea that multiple proteins can be analyzed in parallel grew from two-dimensional gel maps. Proteomics researchers needed to identify interested protein spots by examining the gel. This is time consuming, labor extensive and error prone. It is desired that the computer can analyze the proteins automatically by first detecting then quantifying the protein spots in the 2-D gel images. In our previous work, we presented a new technique for segmentation of 2-D gel images using the fuzzy c-means algorithm using the notion of fuzzy relations. In this paper, we will describe the new relational fuzzy c-means algorithm (RFCM) and use it for automatic protein spots quantification. We will also use two methods to evaluate its performance: the unsupervised evaluation method and comparison with the expert spots quantification.

In paper the influence of thermal oxidation on nano-modified transformer oil is analyzed. The probes of mineral transformer were doped with different content of C 60 fullerenes from 0 mg/l to 512 mg/l. One set of probes were then aged for 64 hours in the temperature of 110°C with the presence of copper inhibitor. Oil parameters such us: resistivity, dielectric loss tangent and permittivity were measured for each probe set. The influence of C 60 additive on individual characteristics of fresh and aged oil was analyzed.

The paper presents the behavior of ultrasound induced cavitation voids and bubbles in mineral insulating oils with different aging properties. At suitable values of signal amplitude and frequency many of cavitation bubbles were observed. Collapsing bubbles were responsible for broadband noise included in acoustic emission signal spectra. To represent the cavitation intensity a cavitation indicator based on power spectral densities of acoustic emission signal was proposed.

This paper describes the software environment for computer assisted design of three-phase squirrel cage induction machines. The finite element method is used as a computational technique to account for detailed geometrical properties, skew, material nonlinearity and deep-bar effect. The system enables determination of all electromagnetic quantities that are usually of interest of the designers of electrical machines. Besides of that it enables the design optimization. The design of experiment is used as a principal method. Sample results of calculations compared with measurements and sample design optimization are presented.
