Moving target defense (MTD) is a promising approach to defend against load redistribution attacks on the internet-of-things (IoT)-based smart grid networks by probing the distorted state estimates with the distributed flexible AC transmission system. However, existing studies mainly focus on optimizing the performance of MTD and ignore the safety effect of it on the system’s operation. In this paper, we fill this gap by deeply analyzing the effect of MTD on the small signal stability and aim to alleviate the negative impact and guarantee its defending performance simultaneously. Firstly, the stability is formally described using the eigenvalue sensitivity. The relationship between the MTD-induced perturbation (MTDper) and the stability criteria is derived. Secondly, a new indicator is proposed to measure the effectiveness of MTDper. Thirdly, a constrained optimization problem is formulated to compute the bound of MTDper for guaranteeing the small signal stability. In addition, a surprising finding is that the stability margin can be improved and enhanced by optimizing the value of MTDper without losing the MTD’s effectiveness. Finally, we evaluate the performance of MTDper and its impact on the small signal stability with extensive simulations on the IEEE 30-bus, 39-bus, and 68-bus test power systems. © 2014 IEEE.

Selective Laser Melting (SLM), an additive manufacturing process, has attracted significant attention from academia and industry over the past two decades. SLM is a productive technique for creating complex industrial components and tools with fewer stages, resulting in resource conservation in contrast to conventional manufacturing methods. Nonetheless, the current platforms employed in SLM metal part production lack the efficient utilisation of an online closed-loop system. The literature showed a significant place for utilising advanced control systems to improve overall performance. Such enhancement will enable the process to be used to fabricate more sophisticated parts. Introducing an online control system could also empower part production with better internal microstructure characteristics. This research reports an initial investigation of applying a closed-loop system to reduce the effect of heat accumulation while building a multilayer object, thus improving the system. The controller changes the laser input in the track and considers the temperature residuals for the completed layers. The simulation results presented a significant improvement in disturbance rejection and better control of the melt-pool characteristics.

In the process of cooperative guidance for multiple unpowered flight vehicles,not only the collision avoidance between the flight vehicles should be considered,but also completion of the cooperative guidance task should be taken into *** this paper,to address the above complex issue,a cooperative guidance method with collision avoidance based on artificial potential field method and a decision strategy based on fuzzy logic thought are ***,a control law is designed to keep each flight vehicle flying at the same height in the longitudinal ***,a collision avoidance guidance law based on the artificial potential field method in horizontal plane is designed by using the feedback linearization *** cooperative guidance and collision avoidance decision strategy based on fuzzy logic is also designed to ensure that multiple flight vehicles can reach the target and maintain a safe distance during *** simulation results show that the proposed method can realize cooperative guidance and effective collision avoidance of multiple unpowered flight vehicles,with a simple guidance law form and strong engineering value.

At present, in the fields of mobile communication, aerospace and et al., the signal transmission quality problems caused by the structural damage of the coaxial cable have become increasingly prominent, and the fault diagnosis methods for the coaxial cable have also received extensive attention in the industrial field. However, most of the commonly used method, such as the numerical modeling-based methods only consider the effect of signal reflection and transmission delays, but the effect of signal attenuation is not discussed, which in turn undermine the effect of cable diagnosis method. In this regard, this paper proposes a method for analyzing the attenuation characteristics of coaxial cables based on Fourier decomposition. First, the attenuation characteristics of the coaxial cable on fixed frequency is measured by the vector network analysis. Then, the transmission attenuation for continuous frequency is modeled using the Support Vector Regression. Next, the arbitrary input signal is decomposed by Fourier Transform and the attenuation of the coaxial cable when any signal is input is finally established. This paper also carried out the pulse attenuation measurement experiment based on the hardware platform, and compared the measured results with the simulation results, which verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Lithium-ion batteries are prone to capacity degradation during use, leading to a decline in their reliability and potentially causing catastrophic failures. This necessitates the study of advanced methods for estimating the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries. To address this need, this paper conducts research in three areas: the extraction of degradation features, the construction of health factors, and the development of predictive models, proposing a comprehensive framework for estimating the remaining useful life of lithium-ion batteries. Firstly, the general trends of external feature parameters as a function of cycling are observed to identify the features that indicate battery degradation. Next, the relationship between these features and battery capacity is determined using Grey Relation Analysis, allowing for the construction of an indirect health factor. Finally, a data-driven prediction method is employed to construct a predictive network model using Long Short-Term Memory networks, with the health factor used for training to accurately predict the health state of the lithium-ion battery. The effectiveness of the proposed remaining life prediction method is validated using the NASA Battery Set dataset from NASA Ames Research Center.

automatic Drawbridge Scheduling by Integrating Highway and Waterway Traffic Flow Information

As inland waterway usage intensifies, it increasingly intersects and conflicts with railway and road transportation modes, highlighting the need for efficient management of these critical junctures. In particular, movable bridges represent a key intersection of highway and waterway Traffic but also a potential source of conflict. This paper proposes and analyzes the use of automatic schedulers that consider both highway and waterway Traffic, reduce conflicts, and make key decisions about bridge use. The METANET macroscopic Traffic model is elaborated to allow the simulation of drawbridge openings on the highway mainline, based on the modelling of mainstream metering. Several MPC-based schedulers are proposed using the designed highway Traffic model and key vessel information, aiming to study the impact of the bridge opening and scheduling on highway Traffic. The simulation results indicate a significant reduction in Traffic conflicts at drawbridge intersections due to the implementation of these schedulers. The functioning of the schedulers is shown to be robust and demonstrate verifiable behavior, indicating their high potential in real-world applications.

Remote sensing images are the true representation of various natural and human elements in the surface scene. Due to their good adaptability and wide detection range, they are widely used in the military field, and play an important role in fire reconnaissance, intrusion warning, flight guidance, landform mapping, etc. important role. For a remote sensing image, how to quickly and efficiently complete its feature evaluation has gradually become a hot research issue in recent years. This paper builds a set of visual parallel processing remote sensing image evaluation system. The system can support three analysis modes: pure terrain, pure scene, and scene plus terrain. The grid window is the basic unit, and multiple CPUs are used to perform parallel feature extraction and analysis on remote sensing images, and mirror and display the evaluated results in the $3\mathrm{D}$ scene. Remote sensing image data. Compared to traditional methods, software significantly improves computational efficiency and result availability.

To solve the power imbalance problem caused by the difference between the equivalent impedance of the inverter and the line impedance, and the power quality problem caused by the disturbance of load mutation, unbalanced load and nonlinear load, this paper proposes a closed-loop feedback dynamic compensation strategy based on the equivalent virtual impedance of the residual generator. Firstly, based on the parallel topology of inverters, a quasi-steady-state model is established on the dq axis. Based on the model, the power imbalance caused by the difference of output impedance and line impedance of different inverters and the power quality problems caused by load switching, unbalanced load, nonlinear load and other disturbances in parallel inverters are ***, a residual generator is established based on the inverter model. A virtual impedance equivalent controller Qvir(S) based on the residual generator is designed by the Luenberger observer principle. The disturbance information is fed back in real time through the feedback structure, and then the virtual impedance is adjusted to realize the power sharing of the inverter parallel system. Then, based on Euler parameterization and coprime factorization theory, a dynamic compensation architecture based on residual generator is designed. The transfer function of the dynamic compensation controller Qcom (S) is obtained by model matching to realize the steady-state operation of parallel inverters and the improvement of system power quality. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed architecture is verified on the experimental platform. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel telemetry scheduling method which can dynamically balance the load rate of 1553B bus for the aerospace flight control software. The proposed method considers the telemetry function in flight control software as an interaction procedure of task producer and consumer which decouples the generation and transmission of telemetry data, so that it can be easily adopted for the telemetry data configuration changes along with the running system variation and can prevent the effectiveness of data from influenced by data transmission delay. Then, the optimization of transmission efficiency is obtained by dynamic programming the quantity of telemetry data per cycle accommodating timing constraints and busload rate restriction meanwhile. Coordinate projected gradient descent minimization and its application to orthogonal nonnegative matrix factorization

In this paper we consider large-scale composite nonconvex optimization problems having the objective function formed as a sum of three terms, first has block coordinate-wise Lipschitz continuous gradient, second is twice differentiable but nonseparable and third is the indicator function of some separable closed convex set. Under these general settings we derive and analyze a new cyclic coordinate descent method, which uses the partial gradient of the differentiable part of the objective, yielding a coordinate gradient descent scheme with a novel adaptive stepsize rule. We prove that this stepsize rule makes the coordinate gradient scheme a descent method, provided that additional assumptions hold for the second term in the objective function. We also present a worst-case complexity analysis for this new method in the nonconvex settings. Numerical results on orthogonal nonnegative matrix factorization problem also confirm the efficiency of our algorithm. © 2025, CC BY.
