Task scheduling algorithms are key to research and practice in parallel testing techniques, especially in control system applications. The complexity of control system testing requires higher scheduling efficiency. However, perturbation events caused by test equipment problems, data transmission obstacles, or task changes are almost unavoidable and may reduce the scheduling effectiveness or even lead to system crashes. Therefore, in this paper, based on the analysis of the dynamic test scheduling model, a disturbance factor is designed to judge the urgency of disturbance events for evaluating the dynamic scheduling cycle. On this basis, based on the comprehensive rescheduling index, a suitable adjustment strategy is selected to formulate the dynamic test scheduling scheme. The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can achieve fast response capability for different disturbance events and exhibit good adaptivity.

We study the deployment of a first-order multi-agent system (MAS) onto a curve in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. The MAS has a chain topology and two types of agents: leaders and followers. The leaders know their positions relative to the target curve. Neighboring leaders can communicate with one another. Each follower is aware of the intended and existing differences between its state and the states of its two nearest neighbors. To solve the formation control problem, we derive a semi-linear parabolic PDE describing the system when the number of agents is sufficiently large. We derive the stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Using numerical simulations, we demonstrate that increased connectivity between the leaders improves the deployment speed of the MAS.

Be directed against the characteristics with respect to faster change of aircraft parameters, higher uncertainty and stronger channel coupling, a robust adaptive design method of aircraft attitude controller is proposed. According to the attitude motion equations during unpowered flight, a nonlinear design model facing for attitude control is first established. Then, according to the as-built design model, a robust dynamic inversion control method based on adaptive multi-variable linear extended state observer is proposed, and it is applied to the design of aircraft full-channel attitude controller through dynamic surface control theory. At the same time, a fuzzy parameter adjustment strategy is proposed to adjust the gain coefficient real-timely along with the margin of the present control ability, which can ensure the matching relationship between control parameters and control ability. Through the analysis on the simulation results, in comparison with one conventional controller, the controller proposed in this research ensures that the aircraft can track the attitude angle command faster and more accurately, and it has strong robust characteristics against time-varying uncertainty. © 2022 IEEE.

The AC-DC Energy Nodes (ADENs) concept offers a transformative approach to modernizing power grids, particularly in the context of supergrids. By centralizing power flows from diverse renewable energy sources, such as offshore wind farms, ADENs enable efficient long-distance power transmission through HVDC technology. This design enhances the balance of supply and demand across regions and countries, significantly improving grid stability and resilience. However, the implementation of ADENs presents substantial technical, regulatory, and cybersecurity challenges. This study delves into these challenges while also addressing the geopolitical complexities of transnational connections, underscoring the critical importance of policy alignment for successful deployment.

The modern monitoring and control systems that are currently used in most fields are based on intelligent algorithms, distributed management systems, and a new generation of communication buses. For the monitoring and control of the processes inside a greenhouse, the use of sophisticated algorithms or complex devices is not required. However, in order to make the activity more efficient and increase the production of a greenhouse, a proposed solution is to use data management and control devices such as PLCs, and the data acquired from the greenhouse to be retrieved by means of sensors connected to nodes with wireless transmission. The wireless communication variant proved to be the most efficient, in the greenhouse environment being an increased humidity due to the irrigation process of the plants. Also, the need for space for the plants requires giving up the wires drawn through the greenhouse.

A Pango FPGA-based solution for merging and processing multiple independent video streams and reconstructing a real-time display system is presented. The system handles each video stream individually, then produces a combined video output in HDMI format. To ensure high efficiency and low latency, a parallel processing scheme and a hardware-oriented architecture are employed. The Pango PG50K FPGA board acts as the central hardware for managing inputs, reconstructing video, and producing outputs. Rapid-access DDR3-SDRAM ensures efficient data caching and signal integrity. This system is ideal for applications requiring rapid response, such as traffic monitoring and industrial automation, and supports quick algorithm iteration and optimization, enhancing performance and adaptability.

This paper presents an accurate altitude estimation on a small multirotor UAV. That is crucial for the stability and performance of UAV, particularly in altitude hold control. Barometric pressure sensors are widely used to estimate altitude based on atmospheric pressure, but their readings are highly susceptible to environmental fluctuations, temperature variations, and dynamic airflow effects. To mitigate these altitude errors, this study focuses on enhanced flight control installation techniques, including the physical protection of barometric sensors inside enclosed, well-ventilated compartments to shield them from wind disturbances and rapid pressure changes. The proposed mitigation strategy is validated through ground testing and flight testing, where altitude hold performance is assessed under various environmental conditions. The results confirm that enclosing the barometric sensor within a protective, ventilated chamber significantly reduces altitude estimation errors, leading to more stable altitude hold control with reduced vertical oscillations. These findings highlight the importance of integrated sensor protection in UAV flight control system design and provide a practical framework for improving altitude estimation reliability in both consumer and industrial UAV applications.

In this paper, we derive set constraints for a reduced order model and augment them into a model predictive control (MPC) scheme to ensure safe operation of the large-scale ensemble system. For the control feedback, only the aggregated information of the whole system is required. For the constraint satisfaction, we consider an adaptive tube formulation to characterize the deviation between the reduced order model and the ensemble system. Employing the robust control invariant set, we ensure recursive feasibility and initial feasibility under an easily verifiable condition.

Masonry arch bridges are an integral part of the European transportation infrastructure. Regular inspections are essential for preserving the historical significance of these bridges and ensuring their safe operation. Despite recent advancements in assessment techniques, monitoring masonry arch bridges remains a difficult and essential field of research. This article describes field tests conducted in Gavirate, Italy, to preliminary understand the dynamic response of a masonry arch rail bridge to train-induced moving loads, as a proof of concept study. The objective of this field investigation is to quantify the dynamic strain induced by train moving loads and to reveal the dynamic behaviors of the masonry arch bridge using a novel distributed fiber optical sensing-based technique. The results may provide a useful guideline for monitoring masonry arch bridges using distributed fiber optical sensing. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Considering the constant growth and evolution of technology, being able to secure data is a challenge. This is why researchers find this a top research topic. Cyber-Physical systems are complex, large-scale systems that can be found in domains like healthcare, transportation, industrial controls systems or smart grids. Having many components that interact with each other, we can observe here the challenge in maintaining a secure environment for the data as data tampering or data extraction can occur, for example, in the actual transportation of data from one device to another. The main focus of this paper is to give an answer if blockchain technology provides a solution in building a secure network. We give a short review of the related work regarding blockchain integration in large-scale systems like Cyber-Physical systems. It was also briefly analyzed the layered structure of a blockchain and discussed some solutions for each layer. We then discussed about consensus algorithms for validation and authentication process. In general, consensus algorithms are implemented to assure the validation process of the nodes in a network. In this paper we tried to analyze and propose a model that offers an extra layer of security by adding the authentication step. In this way, the nodes that are validated are also considered trusted nodes in the network.
