The purpose of this work is to calculate Surge and Swab pressure in oil wells with eccentricity between drill string and wellbore or casing string. Analysis of this phenomenon, in which the fluid is confined between two eccentric cylinders, are made. The conformal mapping is used to lead the eccentric domain into the concentric domain, since the usual models correspond to concentric geometries. The results of this study, using the proposed methodology, are presented and discussed.

This paper deals with the computation of ground resistance, surface voltage, touch voltage and step voltage, to mesh with horizontal wires arranged in different angles. The computer program implemented used in the mathematical modeling is based on the method proposed by Heppe, which allows obtaining the grounding parameters for homogeneous soil and soil stratified in two layers. Furthermore, the results obtained by the Variable Currents Method (VCM) have been compared to traditional methods and the simplified method of ANSI-IEEE Std. 80/2013. They also present the results using a grounding grid with wires on various angles.

This work proposes itself through mathematical modeling, simulating the electrical interactions between two electrical generators, an induction generator and a synchronous generator connected to a common bus in steady state, subject to non-linear load. By comparing the modeling of the two machines, we can see that the induction generator will present best way for the harmonic currents flowing in common bus. Experimental tests have confirmed the results of comparative modeling of the electric generators. It was evident that the induction generator, in addition to increasing the active power to the electrical system, could reduce current harmonics components present at the connection point improving the voltage profile in the network.

In this paper, accurate energy production estimation of stand-alone wind turbine in southern Tunisia has been studied. Energy estimation by Weibull distribution and meteorological data is applied. The design of the wind turbine system architecture according to all the characteristics of the studied site was presented. Monthly average wind energy production is estimated with the integration of converters losses. Loss models of boost and rectifier converters are investigated. The obtained results show that the integration of converters losses and using the statistical distributions leads to a better energy estimation taking into account all the characteristics of the southern Tunisia site.
