The study designs an instrumentation and control system for autonomous quadrotor landing using a visual marker as the landing target. For landing process, the marker used as a landing target is an embedded ArUco marker, capable for detection for both long range and close-range detection. Position of the quadrotor relative from the ArUco marker is estimated using Perspective-N-Point pose estimation. The estimation errors compared to actual measurements are under 20 cm, which is less than the distance between ArUco border and its center. To keep camera for facing downward during the flight, the 2 axis inertially stabilization platform (ISP). The designed ISP can maintain the camera orientation even when quadrotor angle has changed. The landing control system is made for two different scenarios. First scenario is for landing with Global Positioning System (GPS) support, and the second scenario is without GPS support. The landing control system in GPS support scenario uses velocity setpoint to control the quadrotor while in without GPS support scenario, control system uses angle-thrust setpoint to control quadrotor. Quadrotor landing control system can attempt landing on top of the ArUco marker in both scenarios. The trajectory Mean Average Error (MAE) of x and y coordinates and radius of the landing process is (0.108, 0.326, 0.359) m for GPS support scenario and (0.301, 0.251, 0.436) m for without GPS support scenario.

Stroke is one of the chronic conditions that lead to an 85% of death rate from cardiovascular disease in this world. A stroke is when brain cells will not work correctly or even stop working because brain cells do not get enough oxygen from the bloodstream. Most stroke cases are caused by plaque accumulation inside the blood vessel walls. This kind of condition is commonly known as stenosis. One of the methods for treating stenosis is using balloon angioplasty (BA) to revascularize the blockage area of plaque layers inside the vessels. Most ICAS rehabilitation devices are expensive because were imported from other countries. In order to reinforce the BA fabrication locally, we develop an in silico simulation program to represent the actual phenomenon physically during the stenosis treatment using BA. Thus, the result given will be a reliable recommendation for device *** BA deployment algorithm is virtually implemented using a spring-damper model analogy with the lineal spring approach. This approach allows obtaining physical information such as pressure along the blood vessel model. Thus, it can be evaluated regarding the standard clinical reference about blood vessel conditions. The simulation results were given in the meantime for 5 - 106 seconds, depending on the several parameters used. The pressure distribution of revascularized blood vessels was also obtained, assuming a uniform modulus of elasticity.

Large language model (LLM) have been proven to be capable of performing various text processing tasks. LLMs have the potential to be used as a tool for analyzing regulation documents. To enhance the ability of LLMs to analyze regulation documents, we propose a regulation document chunking method that improves the accuracy of the analysis results. Our proposed method produces better accuracy than the sequential chunking method.

Molten salt has attracted the attention of researchers, especially as a coolant because of its characteristics. This study aimed to analyse the transient and steady-state of the natural circulation system in the molten salt loop with vertical heater and horizontal cooler using computational fluid dynamics. The computational fluid dynamics module in the COMSOL Multiphysics software was used to solve governing equations. Experimental data from several references were used as input data in modelling. The loop was modelled as a rectangular loop with Inconel 625 as the pipe material and molten salt (NaNO3+KNO3) as the working fluid. The variation of heater power was also carried out in modelling. The modelling results showed a good agreement with the experimental results. The results provided that the molten salt natural circulation loop with vertical heater and horizontal cooler showed good flow stability without reversal of flow direction. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, multiple mobile manipulators are designed for handshaking system on Robot Operating System (ROS). The mobile manipulator is a robotic manipulator arm mounted on a mobile platform. The Festo Robotino mobile platform is equipped with a robotic arm manipulator in order to extend the task of delivering goods and offers enhanced flexibility and agility, increasing the arm manipulator workspace by using the mobility of Festo Robotino. ROS is powerful tools that can be used in the field of robotics and Graphical User Interface (GUI) development. The Gazebo-ROS can be used to verify the coordination protocol of multiple mobile manipulator robots. Furthermore, several simulation and experimental results have shown the effectiveness of the designed multiple mobile manipulator robots. © 2020 IEEE.

Electrocoagulation is a method of wastewater treatment that applies an electrical current into the liquid to coagulate the suspended particles. This study assessed two control strategies for electrocoagulation systems in wastewater treatment in terms of dynamic performances and energy consumptions. The first control strategy used the electrical current as a manipulated variable, and the second used the waste liquid flowrate instead. For either strategy, the controlled output was the turbidity of the product liquid. The assessment was conducted in an experimental setting, in a laboratory-scale, continuous pilot plant. The experiment began with the identification of the dynamic characteristics of the electrocoagulation process due to the combined changes in the electrical current between 1.8-5.2 Ampere and the changes in waste flowrate between 10.37-14.67 ml/s. First-Order-Process-with-Time-Delay equations approximated these processes. The statistical Analysis of Variance was used to select the best process condition to compare two control strategies. The associated Proportional Integral controllers were designed and applied for either strategy. The experiment showed that manipulating electrical current yield 7.48% longer settling time, but with significantly lower energy consumption throughout the electrocoagulation process. The result highlighted the benefit of using electrical current as of the manipulated variable in the electrocoagulation process in the pilot plant. © 2020 IEEE.

The goal of gasification-based biomass power plants in this research is to be able to produce 5–10 KW of electricity through the thermal energy conversion process. Syngas, a byproduct of the burning of biomass, is created during the gasification process and may be utilized to power generators. The gasification process will diminish biomass, therefore if it reaches a particular level, it has to be frequently supplied to the feeder. Uncontrolled feeder transport capacity will result in the biomass that feeds the gasifier exceeding or falling short of the need, causing fluctuations in the amount of syngas generated. Due to this, the PI-PI cascade controller was designed to regulate biomass transport capacity. From the design of the PI-PI Cascade control system, the parameters for the primary loop controller Kp = 38.9; Ki = 0.81, and the secondary loop Kp = 3.5; Ki = 5. The results of the control design obtained time constant (ti) 0.0101 seconds; rise time(tr) for tr 10% at 0.014 seconds and tr 90% at 0.674 seconds; settling time(ts) of the response signal with Ts 0.05% at 9.5 seconds; delay time (td) at 0.065 seconds and if a disturbance is given when the condition is steady, it will return to the initial condition at 3.21 seconds after the disturbance is given.

The increasing vehicle volume every year affects the prediction of the traffic system. The purpose of predicting traffic flow is to estimate the lost data caused by sensor malfunctions due to connection disruptions or ages. In estimating traffic flow, obtaining and explaining the historical data from the nearest segment sensor is necessary. The graph model can describe the spatial relationship between segments by connecting nodes with edges. Graph Neural Network (GNN) has been used as a learning method to predict the traffic flow in the segment sensor. GNN gets input in the form of spatial data built through a graph model, and the features are traffic density, average vehicle speed, and delay time on the road network. This paper shows that GNN's capability performs better in extracting spatial features and predicting the traffic flow by aggregating the features through connectivity nodes and edges.

The adsorption process in the batik wastewater treatment that containing heavy metals is still quite challenging. Batik waste that exceeds the quality standard can cause environmental pollution and health problems. The green technology method to use waste to treat waste has also attracted tremendous attention to recent research that aims to produce adsorbents. It has a significant role in the adsorption process. Organic carbonaceous biochar is typically rich in carbon, highly porous structure, and charged surface. It makes this biochar highly potential for adsorbent application. The characteristics of biochar depend on the raw material and the manufacturing process. This review provides the latest studies and development of the adsorption process and biochar adsorbent in batik wastewater treatment applications. Also, it describes the challenges thoroughly. Hopefully, this review will provide new inspiration for advancing future studies in the adsorption process for batik wastewater treatment.
