In this paper, we study an object synthesis task that combines an object text with an object image to create a new object image. However, most diffusion models struggle with this task, i.e., often generating an object that predominantly reflects either the text or the image due to an imbalance between their inputs. To address this issue, we propose a simple yet effective method called Adaptive Text-Image Harmony (ATIH) to generate novel and surprising objects. First, we introduce a scale factor and an injection step to balance text and image features in cross-attention and to preserve image information in self-attention during the text-image inversion diffusion process, respectively. Second, to better integrate object text and image, we design a balanced loss function with a noise parameter, ensuring both optimal editability and fidelity of the object image. Third, to adaptively adjust these parameters, we present a novel similarity score function that not only maximizes the similarities between the generated object image and the input text/image but also balances these similarities to harmonize text and image integration. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, showcasing remarkable object creations such as colobus-glass jar in Fig. 1. There is a large variety of devices and apparatus of a water vessel for the effective operation of which it is required to provide stabilization of position in space under conditions of wave disturbances, for example, navigation equipment, radar antennas of communication systems. Suppression of the influence of wave disturbances on the operation of this equipment can be provided by placing this equipment on special stabilized platforms. Stabilization of such a platform is provided by means of drives with control system. In this paper, as an example, we consider a stabilized platform with a drive in the form of a DC motor. The control task is to eliminate the influence of wave perturbations on the angle of deviation of the platform relative to the horizon. The paper considers a mathematical model of a stabilized platform on the deck of a watercraft and proposes a new methodology for synthesizing the control system to provide effective suppression of the influence of wave disturbances on the angular position of the platform. The novelty of the proposed approach to the synthesis of the control system consists in the application of the time-scale separation method to calculate the resonant proportional-integral-differential controller. © 2022 IEEE.

This article investigates the fault trend prediction problem of high-speed train suspension systems in the case of data missing condition. From the perspective of data distribution, Transformer architecture with improved temporal distribution matching (TDM) algorithm is proposed in this paper to further explore the field of fault trend prediction. Firstly, calculating the sensitivity, degree and location of faults to missing data. Furthermore, the reorganization of encoder layer in TDM algorithm is improved. Finally, experiments in SIMPACK-MATLAB/Simulink co-simulation environment is used to validate the effectiveness of the improved TDM algorithm in fault prediction, especially when missing data leads to significant differences in data distribution. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

One of the directions for the development of assistive technologies for people with disabilities (visually impaired, deaf and other categories) is the adaptation of university websites to their needs, often used in an inclusive form of education. According to the law, educational websites in Russia must have dedicated versions for the visually impaired. Our research objective is to evaluate accessibility of the websites and the quality of the versions for visually impaired, mainly automatically, and also to identify the best way to implement such solutions or create accessible websites in general. We have developed a software system for collecting metrics from the two versions of websites: the general one and the one for the visually impaired users. Quantitative metrics based on the HTML code of homepages and based on visual analysis of the homepages screenshots are compared. Metrics are also collected via manual testing. The data was collected for 572 universities websites and was made openly accessible. Correlation analysis of the metrics was carried out. The quality of the versions for the visually impaired users was assessed, recommendations were made for the technical implementation and a standard set of settings was proposed. We collected statistics of used ready-made solutions, as well as of website development tools. We also performed an analysis of the readability of the Russian text in comparison with English on the websites of universities. The paper presents current issues in the field of accessibility of educational sites in Russia, and proposes certain means for their evaluation and guidelines for development of accessible websites. © 2022 IEEE.

To solve the autonomous decision-making problem of multi-UAV air combat, a multi-UAV reinforcement learning self-game autonomous decision-making method for air combat with parameter sharing is proposed. Firstly, a self-game policy pool training framework is designed. The game ability of the multi-UAV autonomous decision-making model is improved by self-game confrontation with a policy pool containing different training generations. Secondly, a parameter-sharing mechanism is proposed to train homogeneous UAVs to improve the efficiency of reinforcement learning training and the utilization of interactive data. Finally, a multi-UAV autonomous decision-making model using the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm is designed so that it can explore effectively in the continuous action space. Medical Visual Question Answering (Med-VQA) aims at answering clinical questions related to medical imaging, providing important reference for medical imaging diagnosis. Gastrointestinal visual question answering can deeply understand and analyze gastrointestinal medical images, provides supporting information to answer questions about the diagnostic process, and improves diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. However, most existing Med-VQA can only handle simple and general questions, struggling to tackle visual question answering related to complex diseases. Therefore, this paper proposes a Med-VQA model called CACL, which uses cross-guidance and improved combined loss. The model focuses on gastrointestinal image analysis and achieves efficient and accurate feature extraction for gastrointestinal images. A cross-guided attention module is also designed to enhance the model's reasoning ability when dealing with complex cross-modal tasks. In addition, a multi-task composite loss function is designed to balance the loss of segmentation task and classification task, and improve the overall performance. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the accuracy of gastrointestinal visual question answering. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses the nonlinear control problem for a quadcopter. The proposed control strategy ensures effective trajectory tracking with ultimately bounded errors. A nonlinear controller employing a backstepping framework is designed to stabilize the quadcopter with damping effects. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the controller’s capability to maintain stability and accurately follow reference trajectory, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

Dual three-phase PMSM (DTP-PMSM) has gained significant attention benefiting from their exceptional reliability and high torque density. However, DTP-PMSM exhibits poor steady-state performance and large calculation amount with the conventional finite-control-set predictive current control. To address these concerns, an asymmetric modulated predictive current control (AM-PCC) for DTP-PMSM is presented. Therein, the three-phase decomposition and deadbeat control scheme are combined to eliminate the weighting factor and optimize the execution efficiency. An asymmetric modulation strategy is presented and integrated into PCC to reduce the current harmonics and switching frequency. Extensive simulation tests are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed AM-PCC scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

The energy revolution is primarily driven by the adoption of advanced communication technologies that allow for the digitization of power grids. With the confluence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), energy systems are entering the larger world of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Cyber threats are expected to grow as the attack surface expands, posing a significant operational risk to any cyber-physical system, including the power grid. Substations are the electricity transmission systems' most critical assets. Substation outages caused by cyber-attacks produce widespread power outages impacting thousands of consumers. To plan and prepare for such rare yet high-impact occurrences, this paper proposes an integrated defense-in-depth framework for power transmission systems to reduce the risk of cyber-induced substation failures. The inherent resilience of physical power systems assesses cyber-attacks' impact on critical substations. The presented approach integrates the physical implications of substation failures with cyber vulnerabilities to analyze cyber-physical risks holistically. The framework is simulated and validated for an IEEE 14-bus system. © 2023 IEEE.
