Impact analysis of the multi-harmonic input splicing way based on the data-driven model

In response to the identification problem of nonlinear systems with harmonic input, this paper studies the identification effect of the different splicing way of the multi-harmonic input based model identification approach. In this method, the relationship between the input and output signals of the nonlinear system is represented by the Nonlinear Auto-Regressive model with exogenous inputs (NARX) model. Firstly, the modeling framework of the NARX model based on the multi-harmonic input method is introduced. Then the effect of the different splicing way contained sequence and period of splicing data on modeling results is researched and proved in theoretically. Finally, a case study is discussed to simultaneously validate that the different multi-harmonic signal splicing forms have no effect on the identification results. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Learning-Based Switched Reliable control of Cyber-Physical systems With Intermittent Communication Faults

This study deals with reliable control problems in data-driven cyber-physical systems(CPSs) with intermittent communication faults, where the faults may be caused by bad or broken communication devices and/or cyber attackers. To solve them, a watermark-based anomaly detector is proposed, where the faults are divided to be either detectable or ***, the fault's intermittent characteristic is described by the average dwell-time(ADT)-like concept, and then the reliable control issues, under the undetectable faults to the detector, are converted into stabilization issues of switched systems. Furthermore,based on the identifier-critic-structure learning algorithm, a datadriven switched controller with a prescribed-performance-based switching law is proposed, and by the ADT approach, a tolerated fault set is given. Additionally, it is shown that the presented switching laws can improve the system performance degradation in asynchronous intervals, where the degradation is caused by the fault-maker-triggered switching rule, which is unknown for CPS operators. Finally, an illustrative example validates the proposed method.

One of the key technologies for autonomous driving is localization. Precise localization is inseparable from high-precision maps. Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM) is technologies for building maps and locating in unknown environments. One of the mainstream directions of current autonomous driving research is how to carry out efficient closed-loop processing over long periods of time, eliminating accumulated error in the odometer. Improving the accuracy of the map and ensuring the accuracy of localization is crucial for ensuring the safety of autonomous driving. Therefore, this paper proposes a featherweight and high-precision method for multi-sensor fusion of laser and GPS for loop detection. The closed-loop results are optimized together with IMU to improve the mapping accuracy.

This article deals with model- and data-based consensus control of heterogenous leader-following multi-agent systems (MASs) under an event-triggering transmission scheme. A dynamic periodic transmission protocol is developed to significantly alleviate the transmission frequency and computational burden, where the followers can interact locally with each other approaching the dynamics of the leader. Capitalizing on a discrete-time looped-functional, a model-based consensus condition for the closed-loop MASs is derived in form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), as well as a design method for obtaining the distributed controllers and event-triggering parameters. Upon collecting noise-corrupted state-input measurements during open-loop operation, a data-driven leader-following MAS representation is presented, and employed to solve the data-driven consensus control problem without requiring any knowledge of the agents' models. This result is then extended to the case of guaranteeing an H∞ performance. A simulation example is finally given to corroborate the efficacy of the proposed distributed event-triggering scheme in cutting off data transmissions and the data-driven design method. Comparison of the Frequency Response Analysis Methods in the Estimation of State of Health to Lithium-Ion Batteries

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), the most widely used method in frequency response analysis (FRA), still has some limitations on the state of health (SOH) estimation of lithium-ion battery (Lib). Thus, methods based on mid-frequency and low-frequency domain equivalent circuit model (MLECM) and distribution of relaxation time (DRT) are developed. Extended to the nonlinear domain, nonlinear FRA (NFRA) methods are also developed. These four methods are applied to the machine learning framework (MLF) and the curve fitting framework (CFF), respectively, to model eight SOH estimations by linking the extracted characteristic parameters to the battery capacity variations. After data validation, the results show that the average root mean square error (RMSE) of SOH estimation for all models ranges from 0.72% to 1.35%, with inter-battery and inter-institution variability contributing to this result. According to the estimation framework, whether it is linear or not, and whether it is an impedance spectral technique, three classification means are given for the respective application scenarios of the FRA methods, which effectively solves the difficulty of determining the practical application based on the FRA methods. © 2023, The Authors. Interactive Multi-scale Fusion of 2D and 3D Features for Multi-object Tracking

Multiple object tracking (MOT) is a significant task in achieving autonomous driving. Traditional works attempt to complete this task, either based on point clouds (PC) collected by LiDAR, or based on images captured from cameras. However, relying on one single sensor is not robust enough, because it might fail during the tracking process. On the other hand, feature fusion from multiple modalities contributes to the improvement of accuracy. As a result, new techniques based on different sensors integrating features from multiple modalities are being developed. Texture information from RGB cameras and 3D structure information from Lidar have respective advantages under different circumstances. However, it’s not easy to achieve effective feature fusion because of completely distinct information modalities. Previous fusion methods usually fuse the top-level features after the backbones extract the features from different modalities. In this paper, we first introduce PointNet++ to obtain multi-scale deep representations of point cloud to make it adaptive to our proposed Interactive Feature Fusion between multi-scale features of images and point clouds. Specifically, through multi-scale interactive query and fusion between pixel-level and point-level features, our method, can obtain more distinguishing features to improve the performance of multiple object tracking. Besides, we explore the effectiveness of pre-training on each single modality and fine-tuning on the fusion-based model. The experimental results demonstrate that our method can achieve good performance on the KITTI benchmark and outperform other approaches without using multi-scale feature fusion. Moreover, the ablation studies indicates the effectiveness of multi-scale feature fusion and pre-training on single modality. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

When a high proportion of renewable energy is connected to the grid, the net load fluctuation can be suppressed by configuring energy storage. However, the current cost of energy storage is high. This paper proposes a bi-level optimization model that takes into account the dynamic allocation of shared energy storage (SES) capacity in response to electric load demand. The upper-layer objective function adopts EO optimization algorithm, which is to maximize the income of the shared energy storage operator (SESO). The lower-layer multi-objective function is to minimize the sum of the operating cost and the net load mean square error of multiple microgrids, which can be classified as the mixed integer linear programming problem. Then, the solution flow of the algorithm is given. Finally, under the constraints of the hierarchical optimization-based model, solving the problem by the CPLEX solver on the MATLAB platform. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can allocate optimal capacity and reduce operating costs for microgrids. Simultaneously, this method increases the revenue of SESO and promotes the consumption of renewable energy.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau contains the most abundant clean energy such as hydropower, wind and solar in the world. However, it is very difficult to add overhead transmission lines on the ground due to the complex geographical environment. The large-capacity tunnel cables which is less affected by the earth surface environment, may play an important role on the energy transmission in such area. Based on the cable thermal circuit model, the electrical-magnetic-thermal multiphysics coupling of the cable is modeled in COMSOL Multiphysics. The parameter changes of the material during the temperature rising process, the influence of different ventilation conditions and different current-carrying capacities on the changes of the cable temperature field are quantitatively analyzed. The results show that the proposed model is valid in certain conditions. The research on the current carrying capacity and thermal effect of tunnel cables is of great significance for the transportation and consumption of large-scale clean energy resources.

This paper studies the leaderless consensus problems of multi-agent systems with input saturation and intermittent communication over directed networks. Both the state feedback and the output feedback consensus algorithms are developed based on low gain feedback approach. The convergence of the trajectories of all agents can be achieved by these proposed algorithms, if the communication topology has a directed spanning tree, and the intermittent communication period T and time rate ρ are larger than their associated threshold values. Simulation examples are provided to verify the theoretical results.

This study investigated the optimal tracking performance (OTP) of multi-input multi-output (MIMO), discrete- time networked control systems (NCSs). The limits of tracking performance (TP) under the influences of bandwidth, encoding- decoding, and additive coloured Gaussian noise (ACGN) are derived using the techniques of coprime decomposition and all-pass decomposition. The results reveal the negative impact of non-minimum phase (NMP) zeros and unstable poles of the plant as well as network communication constraints on the TP of NCSs. Finally, a numerical simulation is discussed and verifies our conclusions.
