In the industrial internet of things (IIoT), single twisted pair Ethernet becomes popular since it can reuse single twisted pair cables in the field bus to connect field devices to the IIoT. However, in the single twisted pair Ethernet, the delay jitter greatly impacts the performance of time synchronization that can not satisfy the requirements of time-sensitive and high speed tasks in the industrial field. To solve this problem, in this paper, an improved time synchronization algorithm is proposed based on precision time protocol (PTP). By detecting the delay jitter, this algorithm could adaptively adjust the synchronization period, and thus reduce the time offset. The algorithm is deployed in the testbed to study its performance by comparing with original PTP. Experimental results prove that the proposed algorithm can increase the accuracy of the time synchronization in the single twisted pair Ethernet.

Currently, control strategies for distributed photovoltaic (PV) power generation are relatively single and rigid, and cannot flexibly adapt to the diverse demands of power grids in different scenarios. Firstly, this paper analyzes the adaptive relationship between different dispatching demands, the regulation ability of distributed PV, and the characteristics of the local voltage. Secondly, for different scenarios, the coordinated controller determines the reference values of active power and reactive power given to the inverter. Thus, distributed PV power control modes which can adapt to different scenarios have been established. Then, these control modes can be classified into single control modes and compound control modes according to the complexity of scenario demands. On this basis, a specific two-layer adaptive control strategy and process of distributed PV power generation in a low-voltage distribution network are further proposed, which takes into account both external demands of the distribution network and the regulation ability of distributed PV. Finally, a case study is given to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the two-layer adaptive scenarios control strategy. This strategy can effectively improve the comprehensive support ability of distributed PV power generation towards the power grid in multiple scenarios, and improve the stable operation level of the regional power grid.

In this paper, the lattice piecewise affine (PWA) approximation of explicit linear model predictive control (MPC) is proposed. The training data consists of the state samples and corresponding affine control laws, based on which the lattice PWA approximation is constructed. The proposed approximation is identical to the explicit MPC control law in unique-order (UO) regions containing the sample points as interior points, thus resemble the explicit MPC control law in a large number of regions. Through simplifying the terms and literals in the lattice PWA approximation, both the storage requirement and online computation complexity are largely decreased. The performance of the proposed approximation strategy is tested through a simulation example, and the result shows that with a moderate number of sample points, the lattice PWA approximation is very close to the explicit MPC control law.

Energy interconnection system integrating 'Internet+' has become a new developing form of energy industry with the increase of Chinese urbanization level. It features the characteristics of multiple energy entities interconnection and independent decision. The decision-making structure, requirements of massive data processing, real-time communication and privacy security prevent the further application of centralized optimization method based on independent decision-making entities. Additionally, the difference of optimization among the energy entities cannot be ignored in the distributed optimization application. Integrating the concepts of 'cloud supervision' and 'weak centralization', this paper proposes a centralized distributed collaborative regulation and control architecture, and studies the decision-making method under this architecture to accelerate the local and global optimization. Based on this, this paper analyzes and summarizes the key technologies involved, including edge-cloud collaborative deployment mechanism, engineering data processing and service technology for energy interconnection system in new-type towns. The purpose is to provide a way to realize the optimal dispatch of energy interconnection system in new-type towns, and provide some suggestions for the development of energy interconnection system in new-type towns. © 2020 IEEE.

Bidirectional Pricing and Demand Response for Nanogrids with HVAC systems

Owing to the fluctuant renewable generation and power demand, the energy surplus or deficit in each nanogrid is embodied differently across time. To stimulate local renewable energy consumption and minimize the long-term energy cost, some issues still remain to be explored: when and how the energy demand and bidirectional trading prices are scheduled considering personal comfort preferences and environmental factors. For this purpose, the demand response and two-way pricing problems concurrently for nanogrids and a public monitoring entity (PME) are studied with exploiting the large potential thermal elastic ability of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) units. Different from nanogrids, in terms of minimizing time-average costs, PME aims to set reasonable prices and optimize profits by trading with nanogrids and the main grid bi-directionally. In particular, such bilevel energy management problem is formulated as a stochastic form in a long-term horizon. Since there are uncertain system parameters, time-coupled queue constraints and the interplay of bilevel decision-making, it is challenging to solve the formulated problems. To this end, we derive a form of relaxation based on Lyapunov optimization technique to make the energy management problem tractable without forecasting the related system parameters. The transaction between nanogrids and PME is captured by a one-leader and multi-follower Stackelberg game framework. Then, theoretical analysis of the existence and uniqueness of Stackelberg equilibrium (SE) is developed based on the proposed game property. Following that, we devise an optimization algorithm to reach the SE with less information exchange. Numerical experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. In this paper we propose a non-Markovian quantum channel approach to mitigating the degradation of the average fidelity in continuous-variable quantum teleportation. The non-Markovian quantum channel is modeled by an augmented system where ancillary systems are introduced to represent the internal modes of non-Markovian environments. With a proper non-Markovianity, enhanced effects of the channels on continuous-variable quantum teleportation are observed. Also, the logarithmic negativity of entangled states can be effectively maintained so that the decay of the average fidelity of quantum teleportation is mitigated. In addition, the analysis on different teleported quantum states shows that coherent states exhibit stronger robustness than those of squeezed states and cat states in quantum teleportation with a non-Markovian channel.

Aiming at the potential safety hazards of silicon single crystal production enterprises in the process of multi-furnace silicon single crystal production, and considering the maximum power load requirements in actual enterprises, a silicon single crystal production process scheduling model with the goal of minimizing the maximum completion time was established. Based on this model, an adaptive improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (Adaptive GPSO) is proposed to solve it. The algorithm retains the individual optimal value and global optimal value of the particle swarm algorithm, and introduces the crossover operation and mutation operation in the genetic algorithm to improve the new individual generation mechanism. At the same time, it performs dynamic iterative calculations on the mutation probability and crossover probability to avoid the algorithm fall into the local optimum, and improve the diversity and convergence of the algorithm. By solving different scales scheduling problems of silicon single crystal production process, the experiments on real-world data shows that the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Aiming at the difficulty of missing, wrong and reverse detection in PCB component detection, the paper proposes a new PCB defect detection and elimination based on visual recognition technology and computer-aided system, it can find out target more efficiently by visual inspection technology in the non-stop line. The target region was marked through secondary error matching algorithm, the threshold segmentation graph of original images were investigated in the marked region. The recognition capability for missing and wrong detection was enhanced. The component matching compatibility was analyzed by mask operation and statistical histogram algorithm. The recognition capability for polarity detection was enhanced. The results were judged by computer aided evaluation system that was carried out under the environment of Vision Pro and Visual Studio. The dynamic position of defective component was calculated by PLC. The operation results showed that through the proposed method, the recognition rate was 100%, and the false alarm rate was about 3% in the detection of anti logic, color components, pins and capacitance, and meet the needs of real-time detection and elimination. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper studies the distributed output formation tracking control problem of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) swarm systems, where the UAV swarm cooperatively tracks the output trajectory of the UGV in a formation under directed jointly connected communication networks. A three-layer formation tracking protocol is proposed. Firstly, a novel distributed observer using neighbor interactions is designed for each UAV to estimate the states of the UGV with parameterized inputs over periodic jointly connected digraphs. Next, based on the observation result and output regulation theory, a virtual reference system that tracks the trajectory of the UGV in the desired formation is constructed to generate reference states for each UAV. Then based on the differential flatness of UAVs, a geometric controller is utilized for UAVs to track the reference states and form the formation. An algorithm to determine the gain matrices of the protocol is also presented while the convergence of the system is analyzed. Finally, an experiment platform with three quadrotor UAVs and one UGV is built. The effectiveness of the proposed protocol is validated both by the simulation and experiment. © 2024, The Authors.
