The article provides the characteristics of the end cable couplings of the closed switchgear 110 kV at the electric steelmaking workshop of the metallurgical plant. The functions of the continuous technical condition monitoring system are substantiated, including continuous temperature monitoring and on-line registration of partial discharges in the insulation. The first function provides monitoring of the operational load, and the second has the maximum sensitivity for diagnosing defect propagation. A functional diagram of the developed intelligent on-line system for monitoring technical condition with digital signal transmission is provided. The choice of sensors and processor unit is justified. The authors consider the temperature control system of high-voltage equipment 'WDM-T', including a wireless sensor and an information receiver. The results of monitoring the thermal regime are provided, the advantages of partial discharge analysis are pointed out. The temperature trends of the end couplings included in the cable line phases are considered. The system is implemented on the closed switchgear 110 kV end couplings, its long-term operation has confirmed the effectiveness of technical condition monitoring. The developed system may be a component of an on-line cyberphysical system for monitoring the condition of high-voltage equipment in the electric steelmaking workshop. © 2024 IEEE.

Identified the main indicators affecting the scheduling of examinations in a higher education institution. The assessment of priorities related to the indicators and their weighting coefficients was conducted using rank correlation and subjective statistical methods, based on the opinions of regular students. Consistency of opinions was assessed using Kendall's coefficient and statistical significance was tested using θ 2 -criteria. The results will be used to create a web-based system for generating an optimal examination timetable for regular students at a higher education institution.

In the operating rooms and the intensive care unit, it is crucial to manage the patient's hemodynamic status, which includes factors like cardiac output and mean arterial pressure. Anesthesiologists confront a difficult task while monitoring high-risk patients. Cardiac output optimization has been found to enhance the result of high-risk patients in terms of hospital stay, mortality rate, post-operative problems, etc. The application of standard control approaches is restricted because the mean arterial pressure response of a patient using vasoactive medicines is modeled by a first-order dynamical system with time-varying parameters and a time-varying delay in the control input. In order to circumvent implementation challenges, this work develops an approximation technique that describes the system using a higher-order model. Predictive control is therefore used to comprehend the practical application of higher-order hemodynamic systems. The effectiveness of this strategy is demonstrated by the simulations and outcomes that are given. © 2023 IEEE.

This article presents the results of the implementation of a measuring system based on an IoT module for remote transmission of aggregate measurement data obtained during analytical monitoring of five water parameters via a wireless communication channel. A model of an experimental setup is presented and discussed, demonstrating the operability and consistency of the model for monitoring physical parameters during aggregate measurements. The obtained results of remote data transmission via a wireless communication channel revealed a statistically significant correlation between spring water parameters and the most influential predictor of acidity, conductivity, turbidity and oxidation-reduction potential is water temperature. The discovered relationship between the measured parameters is mainly associated with the effect of temperature on the processes occurring with an increase and decrease in the temperature of the analyzed water samples. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper presents humidity sensing elements based on silica-graphene surface layers, prepared via a sol-gel method. The samples were sintered at temperatures of 400 °C, 600 °C and 800 °C. Tetraethoxysilane was used as a precursor of SiO2 and as a dopant - graphene aggregates of nanoplatelets. A description of the sample preparation procedure is provided. Using a precise impedance analyzer and a calibrator for humidity and temperature, the changes in their resistance R were investigated with variations in relative humidity in the range of 30% to 90% at a temperature of 25 °C and at a frequency of 20 Hz. Morphological observations and map data analyses were carried out by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersion Spectroscopy (EDX). The developed sensor elements have a good sensitivity to the humidity, and the resistance change reaches two orders of magnitude. Additions of graphene improve the sensitivity of the elements. The article is devoted to the development and improvement of methods for managing the power supply of commercial buildings with high consumption. Specifically, it focuses on shopping centers, which are significant consumers of electricity. Smart Grid technology was chosen as a key element for optimizing the power supply management of large capacity facilities. Tasks were formulated aimed at developing general approaches and methods of modernization of existing shopping centers. The article presents a synthesized power source management system that takes into account the features of objects with high electricity consumption. Attention is focused on practical applications of modeling results, which can contribute to the implementation of advanced solutions in the field of power supply management of large power facilities. It is noted that the proposed methods and systems can ensure the efficient operation of energy systems taking into account modern requirements for stability and energy efficiency. The modes of operation of the commercial building were analyzed. A mathematical model of a shopping center with installed solar panels and that takes into account the operating power of the equipment has been developed. The results of the modeling made it possible to estimate the potential of reducing energy consumption when implementing solar energy systems. The obtained figures emphasize both the economic feasibility and the energy benefits of using renewable energy sources in commercial buildings.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important in the field of scientific research, providing new opportunities for processing large amounts of data, automating routine tasks, and discovering new dependencies in complex systems. Despite these advantages, the use of AI in the scientific domain is accompanied by many challenges and limitations. This paper explores the current state of the problem, analyses the challenges facing the scientific community and examines the main limitations of using AI. The report includes a SWOT analysis of the deployment of AI in scientific research, summarizing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that accompany the use of AI technologies. Possible solutions to overcome these limitations are proposed, including the development of new methodologies for AI training, the creation of ethical and legal frameworks, and the training of professionals who can effectively use AI technologies. The report highlights the need for a coordinated effort between the scientific community, industry and regulators for the successful application of AI in research. AI has the potential to significantly improve the scientific process, but requires careful management of the challenges and risks associated with its use.

The paper is devoted to applied methods for finding the global extremum in high-dimensional combinatorial problems. It is stated that the solution of these problems, for example, in the case of automated design decision-making, is reduced to solving an NP-complete optimization problem. It is assumed that the low efficiency of evolutionary and metaheuristic algorithms for solving this problem is caused by the fact that the goal function's global extremum is not accompanied by a trail of local extrema, but is located in isolation. To overcome this difficulty, it is proposed to introduce into the evolutionary search algorithm the mechanism of matrix replication, which explains well the evolutionary processes at the prebiological stage of the life's origin. The applied properties of the matrix replication mechanism are formulated, which are subject to algorithmization. Procedures for a genetic algorithm with matrix replication have been developed, various methods of matrix formation have been studied, and practical recommendations for choosing their number and size have been given. It is shown that the introduction of the matrix replication mechanism into the search algorithm makes it possible to split the original combinatorial problem into a number of subproblems of smaller dimension. It is substantiated that an independent solution of each subproblem with a fixed matrix increases the probability of finding a global extremum. A practical example of solving the problem of finding the optimal route for a cutting tool is given. The high efficiency of the proposed method in finding the global combinatorial extremum is confirmed. © 2022 IEEE.

the problem of preventing the swinging of loads carried by lifting mechanisms is being solved. A variant of the mechanism in which the load is attached by a flexible cable to a movable cart is considered. A mathematical model of the cart movement with a load is compiled, and it is shown that the specified system is characterized by a deficit of control actions. To achieve the goal of the work, taking into account this circumstance, the physical content of the problem was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it is proposed to form the movement of the system in such a way that the forced movement of the load coincides as much as possible with the phase trajectory of its free movement. Such a coincidence of trajectories can be ensured by switching the control action on the separatrices separating the indicated circulation areas. Since the mass of the load in real conditions varies over a wide range, an associated problem of ensuring the robustness of the control system arises. The solution of this problem is achieved on the basis of fuzzy algorithms. A set of decision rules is formulated that implement the desired trajectory of cargo movement without swinging. It is shown that the result of the control ensures the system movement, which is close to the movement along extremals under piecewise constant control. Using the simulation model of the system, a numerical verification of the proposed control algorithms was carried out, and their effectiveness was shown. © 2022 IEEE.

In academic writing, the accuracy of citation formatting in scientific publications is essential for maintaining the integrity and consistency of scientific communication. However, manually formatting citations according to different styles, such as the IEEE, APA, or MLA, can be time-consuming and error-prone. This paper presents an innovative approach to automate citation formatting in scientific publications using ChatGPT. It proposes an algorithm that incorporates a sequence of instructions and guidance, combined with the capabilities of ChatGPT, and greatly simplifies the process of formatting citations according to different styles. The proposed approach involves training ChatGPT with a dataset containing citation guides and examples from different formatting styles to improve its ability to generate correctly formatted citations. This work presents a comparative characterization of the existing automated citation formatting systems and the proposed algorithm with ChatGPT. Their functionalities are analyzed and their advantages and disadvantages are highlighted. In addition, a SWOT analysis of the systems is performed, which examines their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The analysis highlights the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed solution with ChatGPT. The results show that automation using ChatGPT not only facilitates accurate citation formatting but also offers a practical tool for improving the quality and relevance of scientific publications. ChatGPT can significantly reduce formatting errors and improve the efficiency of academic writing, offering a scalable solution for researchers and institutions.
