The article examines the establishment of a physical laboratory prototype of a Delta-type manipulator with parallel kinematics. It covers the mechatronic system's key components and analyzes the working zone limitations. The experimental setup is suitable for training in engineering disciplines related to robotics that require interdisciplinary approach and state-of-the-art technical equipment. The present study aims to demonstrate the feasibility of building an affordable parallel motion mechanism for performing pick-and-place tasks. Its use in the engineering curriculum can lead to a significant increase in the quality of education in a wide range of disciplines related to mechatronics. © 2023 IEEE.

Our paper is devoted to the design of a novel chaotic oscillator. Our design uses a well-known Mackey-Glass system. We consider the above-mentioned chaotic system in the discrete-time domain and assume that its parameters can change at some intervals. This assumption allows us to write down an interval model Mackey-Glass system. This model can be used to define the amplitude of chaotic oscillations in the interval boundaries that correspond above-mentioned intervals of system parameters. At the same time, system nonlinearity makes it quite hard to analyze system dynamics and perform system transformations. That is why we define piecewise linear boundaries for the state space domain where the system nonlinearity is defined. These piecewise linear functions give us the possibility to rewrite the nonlinear interval Mackey-Glass equation into linear-like equations and formulate some requirements for the generalized infinite-dimension system with chaotic dynamics. One can use the above-mentioned interval equation to define system average motion and motions which are caused by fluctuations of system parameters. The last one we call a system perturbed motion equation and use known system equations to transform it into a form that does not depend on average system motion. The benefits of our approach are proven by simulation results which can be performed by using various MCU/FPGA devices to implement the proposed chaotic oscillator. © 2024 IEEE.

Existing power and bit scheduling algorithms mostly focus on open-loop system performance, i.e., improving estimation accuracy. This paper focuses on the scheduling methods for the closed-loop Markov jump systems in the unreliable transmission environments to improve the system stability and save energy. First, a control unit including feedback controller and predictive controller is proposed which improves the system performance while reducing the complexity of predictive controller design. Second, we design a novel optimization indicator based on time-varying convergence rate and sensor energy consumption. Third, by analyzing the relationship between Lyapunov function and the system state, an explicit expression of the time-varying convergence rate is gained. Next, a constant χ is introduced to obtain the effective power set, in which the convergence rate is always less than 1, thereby ensuring the system stability. Based on this, the optimal power and bit scheduling algorithm is obtained, which improves the system convergence speed while reducing energy consumption. Last, a two-tanks system is used to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the main algorithms. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Infrared and visible image fusion is to provide a more comprehensive image for downstream tasks by highlighting the main tar get and maintaining rich texture information. Image fusion methods based on deep learning suffer from insufficient multimodal information extraction and texture loss. In this paper, we propose a texture preserving progressive fusion network to extract comple mentary information from multimodal images (PTPFusion) to solve these issues. To reduce image texture loss, we design multiple consecutive texture-preserving blocks (TPB) to enhance fused texture. The TPB can enhance the features by using a parallel ar chitecture consisting with a residual block and a derivative operators. In addition, a novel cross-channel attention (CCA) fusion module is developed to obtain complementary information by modeling global feature interactions via cross-queries mechanism, followed by information fusion to highlight the feature of salient target. To avoid information loss, the extracted features at different stages are merged as the output of TPB. Finally, the fused image will be generated by the decoder. Extensive experiments on three datasets show that our proposed fusion algorithm is better than existing state-of-the-art methods. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Corresponding con-version equations are obtained, their static characteristics are constructed, measurements errors, emerging as a result of using one or another construction princi-ples are investigated. As a result of the research, it was found that in order to im-prove the measurement accuracy, it is advisable to introduce an additional measuring temperature channel. Of the proposed three methods for measuring the activity of ions, the third option with a relative error of 6.5{ star}10{-7} % in the measurement range from 0.3 to 7 pX, which is based on the principle of converting voltage into frequency, has the highest measurement accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

The increasing application of voltage source converter (VSC) based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) technology in power grids has raised the importance of incorporating DC grids and converters into the existing transmission network. This poses significant challenges in dealing with the resulting optimal power flow (OPF) problem. In this paper, a recently proposed nonconvex distributed optimization algorithm — Augmented Lagrangian based Alternating Direction Inexact Newton method (ALADIN), is tailored to solve the nonconvex AC/DC OPF problem for emerging voltage source converter (VSC) based multiterminal high voltage direct current (VSC-MTDC) meshed AC/DC hybrid systems. The proposed scheme decomposes this AC/DC hybrid OPF problem and handles it in a fully distributed way. Compared to the existing state-of-art Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM), which is in general, not applicable for nonconvex problems, ALADIN has a theoretical convergence guarantee. Applying these two approaches to VSC-MTDC coupled with an IEEE benchmark AC power system illustrates that the tailored ALADIN outperforms ADMM in convergence speed and numerical robustness.
