Distribution systems heavily employ Distributed Generators (DG) to decrease losses. Some writers have explored this crucial optimization problem with a constant power load model. Consumers in distribution network load centres utilize varied loads based on voltage. A few authors have investigated this optimization problem with voltage-dependent load models. Some studies used a single load model independent of voltage or depending on bus system voltage. Few studies have employed a single load model on the whole feeder, lateral or sub-lateral, to analyze all voltage-dependent load models. A mixture of voltage-dependent load models calculates consumer load on a bus or all buses in actual distribution networks. Combining all voltage-dependent load models at one or more buses has yet to be fully researched. This study examines mixed load model effects in radial distribution networks with DG. DG position and capacity must be optimized to decrease power losses, a tough, nondifferentiable, non-convex combinatorial task. A quantum-inspired evolutionary metaheuristic algorithm solves this combinatorial optimisation challenge. A quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm (AQiEA) determines DG placement and capacity. The suggested technique is evaluated on two IEEE benchmark test bus systems. Tabulated findings show that AQiEA reduces power loss the most.

Most of the minerals and vitamins can be obtained by humans with the intake of fruits. Fruits are very rich in fibre and health-boosting oxidants can be provided by them. With a daily routine of eating fruits, a human can avoid the risk of diabetes, cancer, heart diseases. But these days fruits are being adultered for the [1] economic and technical benefits. Adulteration is a kind of illegal act of mixing some harmful chemicals into the fruits in order to increase profits. Eating adultered fruits can lead to chronic diseases diarrhoea, cancer, liver disorder, and heart diseases. Adulteration is a serious threat to the health of humans. Even though the adulteration of fruits is banned, many traders are applying adulteration in the thirst of more profits. It is very difficult to identify the fruits which undergone adulteration with naked eyes. Image processing techniques can be applied for detecting the adultered fruits. In this paper, A Convolution Neural Network (CNN) with K-means clustering and Bag of words based technique is proposed to detect the fruits which undergone adulteration. Accuracy of 0.94 is achieved with the proposed system. © 2022 IEEE

Highlights:The significance of Terahertz (THz) communication for the upcoming sixth-generation (6G) communications, which offers abundant bandwidth for high-speed data transmission. However, THz frequencies face challenges such as propagation attenuation and molecular absorption that limit their coverage range. To address this issue, the use of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) and index modulation (IM) has been proposed to extend coverage and reduce bit error rates (BER) at low transmitted power. This paper presents a novel RIS-assisted IM system for THz communication that employs semi-definite relaxation (SDR) optimization techniques for passive beamforming at the detector. The proposed system outperforms the conventional IM (C-IM) in THz frequencies, with simulation results demonstrating a lower BER at a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by increasing the passive elements. Furthermore, derived the mutual information (MI) on RIS-IM system and also improved the achievable rate of proposed RIS-IM by increasing the transmit antennas and reflecting elements. Overall, the proposed system potential to enhance the BER and MI performance of THz communication to a significant *** is shows great potential for wireless networks in the future. © 2023, The Authors. PV systems have generally low voltage levels, although there are significant limits. The major goal is to increase the voltage gain while maintaining high system efficiency. The system currently has some faults, such as input current not being continuous, significant current ripple, and leakage currents. There is the possibility of boost the voltage gain while using a transformer, but it occupies space, is expensive, and has to be considered every time the transformation ratio, these drawbacks are avoided by utilizing a Z-source DC-DC converter. This paper proposes a High step-up voltage gain boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter for medium voltage applications. The proposed converter helps to improve system voltage gain while reducing voltage stress on capacitor switches and current ripple. The proposed converter topology is examined by comparing with other converter configurations, the proposed topology shows robust performance and better results in terms of high voltage gain, low voltage stress on the energy storage elements, and less harmonic content in the output voltage. Simulation results are verified and compared with other existing configurations. © 2022 IEEE

There is no established metric for measuring urban smartness at this time. Various writers use various metrics to assess smart city transportation systems. The assessment indicators for the transport system that were offered in the scholarly works were reviewed, and the most relevant and impactful indicators were chosen. A hierarchical assessment model for smart city transport systems is developed in this paper. There are five categories, or "factors," that the indications fall into. Several indicators are assigned to each of the categories. This study used the hybrid MCDM (multi-criteria decision-making) method to evaluate urban transport systems and identify which of the given characteristics were most important. Top Priority Sorting based on Ideal Solution Similarity (TOPSIS), COPRAS, and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) were the multi-criteria assessment methods in use. The importance of the components and indicators was determined using an analytical hierarchy process (AHP), rankings (prioritization), and direct evaluation (experts evaluate each criterion as a percentage; total assessments of all criteria equal 100%). There were two phases to the evaluation and comparison of mobility systems: first, smart mobility systems were evaluated comprehensively according to the integrated importance of the indicators; and second, multi-criteria evaluations were conducted according to the indicators of every factor separately. Based on the amount of intelligence, a top city is determined and rated. Building a hierarchical model for evaluating smart transportation systems is the focus of this paper.

This study aims to ascertain the operating parameters of a Copper oxide nanoparticle and Azadirachta indica biodiesel-powered diesel engine. Copper oxide nanoparticles were considered at 75 ppm, and three dispersants were added at the same ratio as nanoparticles. An ultrasonic bath sonicator was used to sonicate the nanoparticles, and later, the ultrasonicator was used to prepare the nanofuel. The experiment was conducted on a diesel engine with different injection timings, such as 21 °bTDC, 23 °bTDC, and 25 °bTDC at full load. The performance was slightly improved by mixing nanoparticles with B20, and it got even better by adding dispersants. The combustion parameters were also changed compared to diesel. Finally, the emissions of carbon monoxide, unburnt hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and smoke opacity were significantly reduced by the dispersion of nanoparticles. Increasing the injection timing also led to better results, and 25 °bTDC showed better results. The B20+CuO75+QPAN 75 has shown the most remarkable effects among other samples. At 25°bTDC, the brake thermal efficiency, brake specific fuel consumption, cylinder pressure, net heat release rate, were 35.03 %, 0.391 kg/kWh, 66.23 bar, and 89.39 J/°CA, respectively, while carbon monoxide, unburnt hydro carbons, smoke, and oxides of nitrogen were 0.089 %, 32 ppm, 19.351 %, and 1238 ppm. © 2024 The Author(s)

The Hydro Growth system presents an innovative approach to hydroponic farming, integrating Arduino microcontroller technology, mobile application, and solar panel power sources. In regions facing water scarcity, such as arid areas, this system offers a sustainable solution by utilizing dehumidifiers as a fresh water source for hydroponics, powered by solar panels. This study aims to design and develop a hydroponics application that monitors water quality parameters, including pH, TDS, and temperature, providing accurate management of hydroponic environments. Employing a qualitative and experimental research design, an Iterative Waterfall model is utilized for system development, ensuring alignment with user and business requirements. Arduino microcontroller capabilities facilitate hardware and software integration, while sensors such as pH, TDS, and temperature sensors, along with GSM and temperature sensors, enhance system functionality. Development of the mobile application is achieved through Android Studio, JAVA, ***, and other relevant technologies, ensuring a robust and secure platform for user interaction. Evaluation of the Hydro Growth system demonstrates its scalability and intelligence in providing effective hydroponic farming management. Regional agricultural experts consistently rate the system as effective, reinforcing its potential as an innovative tool for sustainable agriculture. Additionally, hydroponically grown food is recognized for its nutritional benefits over soil-based farming methods. The system continuously monitors water quality and sends SMS notifications to users, not only alerting them to abnormalities but also providing guidance on corrective actions, such as adding organic chemicals, to maintain optimal growing conditions.

This research explores the potential of machine learning methods to use in the welding sector. Welding operations encounter several challenges that might use machine learning approaches. Welding processes have been found to benefit greatly from the use of machine learning algorithms, which increase both productivity and quality. Industrial robots powered by artificial intelligence may assist in addressing many difficult problems in the manufacturing industry. Many welding procedures depend on human knowledge to choose optimal settings, making them less efficient and more prone to human mistakes. To lessen this reliance, neural networks educate robots and autonomous systems to provide consistent weld quality and increased efficiency. Weld quality is mainly determined by visual examination. As a result, machine learning is also used to provide a visual representation of the welding process. In two dimensions, 12 machine learning pipelines are built: settings for feature engineering and ML techniques. Four feature settings and three machine learning methods were considered. Using data from two active industrial production lines containing 25 welding machines, a machine-learning pipeline was tested. These approaches may also be used to analyze the components using regression analysis to determine which factors relate to certain health concerns.

The issue of limited wireless spectrum may be addressed with the use of Cognitive Radio (CR). Without affecting the primary users (PU), or licenced users, it allows other users, known as secondary users or unlicensed users, to exploit spectrum gaps, improving spectrum efficiency. Energy detection, a matching filter, and cyclostationary detection make up the CR, which determines whether the spectrum is idle or not. Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNS) are hindered in their ability to improve performance by noise. No signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) may be efficiently achieved with a cooperative spectrum employing a set sensing time in terms of throughput performance. There are two ways that this research suggests they might improve the effectiveness of energy detectors in the wireless spectrum. At its core, the first method is an energy detector-based hybrid of the Additive Wavelet Transform as well as the Homomorphic (AWTH). Mixing the Haar Discrete Wavelet Transform with the Homomorphic technique (HDWTH) is the basis of the second approach. The Two Quality Metrics Used: False Alarm Probability (Pf) and Probability Detection (Pd). The efficiency of the energy detector is enhanced by implementing the two methods that have been suggested. Metrics for quality demonstrate that the first method improves the wireless spectrum's Pd point perspective. But from a throughput perspective, the second strategy succeeds in maximising.
