Adaptive Dead Zone Compensation Control Method for Electro-Hydrostatic Actuators Under Low-Speed Conditions

This study proposes an accurate dead zone compensation control method for electro-hydrostatic actuators(EHAs)under low-speed ***,the nonlinear dead zone characteristics under low-speed conditions are summarized based on numerous EHA *** adaptive compensation function(ACF)is then constructed for the dead ***,this study proposes an adaptive dead zone compensation control method for EHAs by integrating the ACF with a virtual decomposition controller(VDC)based on the established EHA *** stability of the proposed control method is also ***,the proposed control method is verified using an EHA *** test results show that the dead zone trajectory tracking errors of EHAs are significantly reduced when combined with the ***,since most EHAs are controlled by adjusting the motor speed,the method presented in this study is simpler and easier to use than methods that employ flow compensation.

Valve is important flow control part in the flow tube system, which is defined by the valve plate angle characters, many researches had been done to get valve plate characters by tests and numerical simulations. Function (1) is famous formula to estimate valve characters, such as mass flow, pressure drop, and so on, where μ is a key parameter to calculate. The data of test and simulation of data from reference [4] and reference [9] had dealt by function (2), which had shown that the had some bigger than 1 values, the angle of valve open and the pressure ratio had established ft together. The bigger than 1 values had been gotten by same conditions, which derived from mouth type nozzle inducing injecting. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

The Fourier series method is a basic theory for function transformation, while there are Gibbs effects for such types treatments with finite number of terms. Many mathematicians have contributed the intelligence for this field, such as Hardy [1] and Chen [2], and so on. In this paper, The combined waves theory was proposed, in which the Fourier series have been discussed by Taylor series whose first order function terms shows Gibbs effect naturally, the Gibbs effect may the principle of the word underlying logic, Some basic phenomena had discussed and explained. © Chinese Society of aeronautics and Astronautics 2025.

In this study,a new comprehensive fully coupled elastic–hydrodynamic model is developed for a multi-layer gas foil thrust bearing(GFTB).The interaction effects among the top foil,back board,middle foil,and bottom foil,as well as the Coulomb friction effect,are *** stiffness and static characteristics obtained by the experimental and theoretical approaches are in good agreement,which verifies the accuracy of the *** contribution of each foil layer to the overall stiffness and the load-carrying mechanism are *** effects of the load,preload,and rotational speed on the static performance are investigated ***,start–stop tests are performed to achieve the lift-off speed,start-up torque,and shut-down torque under various operating conditions.

Drogue detection is widely used in autonomous aerial refueling and drogue control, with high accuracy and speed requirements. However, since the image of the drogue is usually an ellipse with different axis ratios, the Intersection over Union (loU) based on rectangular bounding boxes can hardly accurately measure the similarity between the predicted region and the ground truth. To solve the above issue, we propose a novel particle-ellipse loU (PEloU) loss for drogue detection in this work. By setting particles on the image and calculating the proportion occupied by the overlapping part, an estimation of true IoU for two elliptical regions can be obtained. Furthermore, an improved network based on YOLOv8 was designed, and the PEloU loss was integrated into the model. Finally, a drogue dataset was created containing real images, which was used to perform experiments. The extensive experiments demonstrate that the method proposed in this paper not only outperforms the baseline but also operates efficiently in real-time on edge devices. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

The bearing capacity of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composite is highly sensitive to low-speed impact damage, making the prediction of compressive strength after impact crucial for their engineering applications. In this study, residual compressive strength tests were conducted on laminates of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) 5284RTM/U3160 with three different layups under barely visual inspection damage (BV1D). Prior to compression testing, the impact damage morphology of laminates with different layups was captured using C-scanning, and the impact damage morphology was studied based on fractal dimension. The research results indicate that specimens with higher damage fractal dimensions exhibit lower compressive strength after impact. Based on this, a prediction model for the compressive strength of composite materials after impact was proposed, which is based on the fractal dimension of the impact damage morphology. This method takes the impact damage morphology as an equivalent geometric component - Sierpinski carpet, and obtains the area of laminates no longer participating in load-bearing after damage through the damage fractal dimension, thereby obtaining the residual compressive strength of the laminates. The predicted results of the model match well with experimental results, and it does not require impact energy as an input parameter, making it convenient for engineering applications. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

Finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) has been extensively investigated owing to its numerous disadvantage, such as fast response and easy implementation. However, FCS-MPC is highly sensitive to system modeling and parameters, and its performance deteriorate when the system has unmodeled dynamics and parameter mismatches. To address this issue, a data-driven based model-free predictive current control (MFPCC) for dual-three phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (DTP-PMSM) is proposed, which use only the input and output data of the system instead of the accurate mathematical models and parameters. In addition, the virtual voltage vectors (V3s) is utilized to reduce the harmonic current. More specifically, the space vector is optimized for reducing the torque ripple. Simulation investigations on DTP-PMSM platform validate the superiority of the proposed strategy. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

This study conducted the experimental investigation of aerodynamic heating of Micro-scale Rotational Shearing Flow with Axial Limited-Length(MRSFALL).The temperature riseof the stator is captured by the high response *** eccentricity ratio and clearanceheight are guaranteed by means of instantaneous trajectory and torsion monitoring of the *** result shows that the maximum temperature rise takes place upstream of the minimum clear-ance height along circumferential *** distribution of temperature rise presents asymmet-ric curve along axial direction,and peak value occurs near the dimensionless axial position *** effect of aerodynamic heating becomes notable as the rotational speed is larger than3×10^(4)r/*** effect of end leakage and the viscous dissipation have great impact on temper-ature rise of *** specially,the peak value of temperature rise at dimensionless clear-ance height of 0.0080 is larger than the case at dimensionless clearance height of ***,when the eccentricity ratio is too large,the viscous dissipation is induced,and theadditional temperature rise is *** heat flux identification of shear flow has been realizedby Sequential Function Specification Method(SFSM)and its estimation of thermal load has been *** heat flux induced by the aerodynamic heating in this study varies from 950 W/m^(2)to1330 W/m^(2).

Sensorless control technology has been received significant attention in recent years due to its advantages of reducing system size and cost while enhancing reliability. As a result, it has become a key focus in the field of motor control research. However, the speed regulation and load capacity of sensorless methods diminish during low-speed operation, thereby negatively impacting the performance across broad range. To address this issue, an improved speed sensorless estimation method for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) combined with speed correction is proposed, which use the principle of corrective parameter selection and current estimation error to correct speed estimation. The outcomes of the experiments indicate that proposed method still run stably under full load at 10% of the rated speed during low-speed operation, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

The Permanent Magnet Torque Motor(PMTM)is the key electro-mechanical conversion device in an Electro-Hydraulic Servo Valve(EHSV).In this work,a refined model of a PMTM is developed,considering the non-working air-gaps between the upper or lower yoke and the armature,the fringing effect at the limiting holes,and the nonlinear permeability of soft magnetic *** on the refined model,the influences of various factors on the calculation accuracy of the magnetic flux at the pole surfaces of the armature and the output torque are *** verifying the validity of the refined model,a Finite Element Analysis(FEA)of the PMTM is conducted,and a test platform is *** with existing models,the refined model can better reveal the intrinsic mechanism of the PMTM,and its calculations are more consistent with the FEA *** experimental results of the armature deflection displacement show that the refined model can accurately describe the output characteristics of the PMTM.
