b.se-Einstein correlations b.tween identified charged pions are measured for p+Pb.collisions at sNN=5.02TeV using data recorded b. the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 28nb.1. Pions are identified using ionization energy loss measured in the pixel detector. Two-particle correlation functions and the extracted source radii are presented as a function of collision centrality as well as the average transverse momentum (kT) and rapidity (yππ★) of the pair. Pairs are selected with a rapidity −2b.tions to the measured correlations is describ.d. The measured source sizes are sub.tantially larger in more central collisions and are ob.erved to decrease with increasing pair kT. A correlation of the radii with the local charged-particle density is demonstrated. The scaling of the extracted radii with the mean numb.r of participating nucleons is also used to compare a selection of initial-geometry models. The cross term Rol is measured as a function of rapidity, and a nonzero value is ob.erved with 5.1σ comb.ned significance for −1

Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is one of the prominent technologies in the wireless network field. The main goal of WMN is to serve the large community of users with availab.e b.ndwidth. Hyacinth multichannel architecture is preferab.e solution for WMN to lever the sub.tantial data and to employ the b.ndwidth efficiently. The performance of WMN is also depending on the routing protocol to forward the data in the network. The AODV is the most common routing protocol of wireless network technologies and it uses hop count as routing metric. This traditional routing metric is incapab.e to perform well in multichannel environment. Weighted Cumulative Expected Transmission Time (WCETT) routing metric is well suited for multichannel WMN. In this paper we analyze the performance of Hyb.id Multichannel WMN. Two channels are assigned to the nodes and IEEE 802.11 channel assignment strategy is used b. HMWMN. Throughput and drop of packets parameters are compared with single channel WMN and HMWMN b. varying packet size. We conduct the Chi square test to show the relationship b.tween packet size and throughput. Our results show that HMWMN improves the throughput b. 46% and minimizes the drop of packets b. 62% than the single channel. HMWMN uses WCETT routing metrics and it is compared against hop count b. varying the size of network. Outcomes illustrate that HMWMN has b.tter throughput and End-to-end delay even for large WMN.

The results of a search for squarks and gluinos in final states with an isolated electron or muon, multiple jets and large missing transverse momentum using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV are presented. The data set used was recorded during 2015 and 2016 b. the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb.1. No significant excess b.yond the expected b.ckground is found. Exclusion limits at 95% confidence level are set in a numb.r of supersymmetric scenarios, reaching masses up to 2.1 TeV for gluino pair production and up to 1.25 TeV for squark pair production.

Geometric phase gate for entangling two b.se-Einstein condensates

We propose a method of entangling two spinor b.se-Einstein condensates using a geometric phase gate. The scheme relies upon only the ac Stark shift and a common controllab.e optical mode coupled to the spins. Our scheme allows for the creation of an SzSz-type interaction where Sz is the total spin. The geometric phase gate can b. executed in times of the order of 2πℏ/G, where G is the magnitude of the Stark shift. In contrast to related schemes which relied on a fourth-order interaction to produce entanglement, this is a second-order interaction in the numb.r of atomic transitions. Closed expressions for the entangling phase are derived and the effects of decoherence due to cavity decay, spontaneous emission, and incomplete de-entangling of the light to the b.se-Einstein condensates are analyzed.

With the increase in energy of the Large Hadron Collider to a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV for Run 2, events with dense environments, such as in the cores of highenergy jets, b.came a focus for new physics searches as well as measurements of the Standard Model. These environments are characterized b. charged-particle separations of the order of the tracking detectors sensor granularity. b.sic track quantities are compared b.tween 3.2 fb.-1) of data collected b. the ATLAS experiment and simulation of protonproton collisions producing high-transverse-momentum jets at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The impact of chargedparticle separations and multiplicities on the track reconstruction performance is discussed. The track reconstruction efficiency in the cores of jets with transverse momenta b.tween 200 and 1600 GeV is quantified using a novel, datadriven, method. The method uses the energy loss, dE/ dx, to identify pixel clusters originating from two charged particles. Of the charged particles creating these clusters, themeasured fraction that fail to b. reconstructed is 0.061 +/- 0.006 (stat.) +/- 0.014 (syst.) and 0.093 +/- 0.017 (stat.) +/- 0.021 (syst.) for jet transverse momenta of 200-400GeV and 1400-1600GeV, respectively.

In this paper, we propose a new approach to solve the maximal constraint satisfaction prob.ems (Max-CSP) using the continuous Hopfield network. This approach is divided into two steps: the first step involves modeling the maximal constraint satisfaction prob.em as 0-1 quadratic programming sub.ect to linear constraints (QP). The second step concerns applying the continuous Hopfield network (CHN) to solve the QP prob.em. Therefore, the generalized energy function associated with the CHN and an appropriate parametersetting procedure ab.ut Max-CSP prob.ems are given in detail. Finally, the proposed algorithm and some computational experiments solving the Max-CSP are shown.

computer systems play an integral role in all facets of the engineering profession. Systems users are always in need of faster, more powerful, yet cheaper computer systems. This calls for an understanding of the processor-level components of computer systems, their design and operation, and their impact on the overall performance of the systems. To fulfill this requirement the course on computer System Design and Architecture has b.en introduced in the 3rd semester. Earlier, there were two courses offered with titles “computer Organization” in Semester 3 and “Advanced computer Architecture” in Semester 8. These two courses were not related and there existed a gap of 4 semesters in learning of these two courses. Students were unab.e to appreciate the architecture related concepts in other courses of lower semesters. As mentioned in IEEE SWEEb.K curriculum recommendations, a wide semantic gap exists b.tween the computer's intended b.havior and the workings of the underlying electronic devices that actually do the work within the computer. This gap is b.idged through computer Organization. On the other hand computer Architecture is the course that specifies the relations and parts of a computer system and it deals with mainly three elements viz. Instruction Set Architecture, computer Organization and Hardware. Accordingly, a course on computer System Design and Architecture which comb.nes the study of computer Organization and computer Architecture is designed to b. offered at semester 3. The next challenge came in the form of delivery of the course. Since a detailed conceptual understanding of computer organization and architecture is required, which was not possib.e only with classroom delivery, self study activity was introduced which provided ab.lity to the students to compare various processor architectures, their functionality and visib.lity to information processing. The analysis of the momentum difference b.tween charged hadrons in high-energy proton-proton collisions is performed in order to study coherent particle production. The ob.erved correlation pattern agrees with a model of a helical QCD string fragmenting into a chain of ground-state hadrons. A threshold momentum difference in the production of adjacent pairs of charged hadrons is ob.erved, in agreement with model predictions. The presence of low-mass hadron chains also explains the emergence of charge-comb.nation-dependent two-particle correlations commonly attrib.ted to b.se-Einstein interference. The data sample consists of 190 μb.1 of minimum-b.as events collected with proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy s=7 TeV in the early low-luminosity data taking with the ATLAS detector at the LHC.

Jet energy scale measurements and their systematic uncertainties are reported for jets measured with the ATLAS detector using proton-proton collision data with a center-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb.1 collected during 2015 at the LHC. Jets are reconstructed from energy deposits forming topological clusters of calorimeter cells, using the anti-kt algorithm with radius parameter R=0.4. Jets are calib.ated with a series of simulation-b.sed corrections and in situ techniques. In situ techniques exploit the transverse momentum b.lance b.tween a jet and a reference ob.ect such as a photon, Z b.son, or multijet system for jets with 20b.th data and simulation. An uncertainty in the jet energy scale of less than 1% is found in the central calorimeter region (|η|<1.2) for jets with 100b.ut 4.5% is found for low-pT jets with pT=20 GeV in the central region, dominated b. uncertainties in the corrections for multiple proton-proton interactions. The calib.ation of forward jets (|η|>0.8) is derived from dijet pT b.lance measurements. For jets of pT=80 GeV, the additional uncertainty for the forward jet calib.ation reaches its largest value of ab.ut 2% in the range |η|>3.5 and in a narrow slice of 2.2<|η|<2.4.
