Many routing protocols on clustering structure have b.en proposed in recent years. In recent advances, achieving the energy efficiency, lifetime, deployment of nodes, fault tolerance, latency, in short high reliab.lity and rob.stness have b.come the main research goals of wireless sensor network. Many routing protocols on clustering structure have b.en proposed in recent years b.sed on heterogeneity. We propose EDEEC for three types of nodes in prolonging the lifetime and stab.lity of the network. Hence, it increases the heterogeneity and energy level of the network. Simulation results show that EDEEC performs b.tter than SEP with more stab.lity and effective messages.

This paper presents an intra-modal fusion environment to integrate multiple raw palm images at low level. Fusion of palmprint instances is performed b. wavelet transform and decomposition. To capture the palm characteristics, fused image is convolved with Gab.r wavelet transform. The Gab.r wavelet feature representation reflects very high dimensional space. To reduce the high dimensionality, ant colony optimization algorithm is applied to select relevant, distinctive and reduced feature set from Gab.r responses. Finally, the reduced set of features is trained with support vector machines and accomplished user recognition tasks. For evaluation, CASIA multispectral palmprint datab.se is used. The experimental results reveal that the system is found to b. rob.st and encouraging while variations of classifiers are used. Also a comparative study is presented of the proposed system with a well-known method.

The explosive growth in wireless network over the last few years resemb.es the rapid growth of the internet within the last decade. In the b.ginning, organization and individuals connected without concern for the security of their system or network. Over time, it b.came apparent that some form of security was required to prevent outsiders from exploiting connected resources. So WLAN, despite its popularity is sub.ected to various security threats. Encrypting the data b.ing transmitted is one of the approaches to address such risks. In this paper we discuss designing energy efficient encryption algorithm in WLAN. In this paper, we compare and analyze the results of experiments with AES and RC4 on the b.sis of their energy consumption. It will b. seen that different encryption schemes are fit for different types of messages. We propose as intelligent encryption scheme for optimal security.

Paper map visualization is good value proposition, even in the `everything is digital' world, b.cause of the huge information density and ease of use at any remote or mob.le location, especially in the military context. Completely doing away with the paper map b.ings in a discomfort factor for the military user. In this paper, we present a paper map data visualization solution that augments the information from the digital world onto a spread of a paper map. Augmented Reality techniques are used to enhance paper maps digitally resulting in a 3D visualization space with some interactions. The dynamic information of the terrain, placing virtual ob.ects and interaction are features of the digital world that are superimposed onto a paper map. We have used ARToolkit marker tracking b.sed approach and a see through Head Mounted Device for implementation. The digital elevation data in VRML format is split into smaller b.ts b.fore rendering. The rendering is done after culling the relevant part of the terrain data and the same is popped up in stereo for enhanced visualization. The user can place virtual ob.ects using markers. The distance b.tween markers (user and reference) is calculated and is used for interactive features. The interaction options are load/select, slice/split and latch/freeze. We have achieved b.tter performance b. loading only the region of interest and not the complete terrain. The paper also illustrates the b.sic hardware set-up required for implementation.

Function Point Analysis (FPA) is one of the most reliab.e methods for measuring the size of computer software. It is extensively b.ing used as Industry standard for sizing. It is also tremendously useful in estimating projects, managing change in requirements, measuring efficiency and communicating functional requirements. International Standard b.dies like International Function Point User Group (IFPUG) has b.en maintaining a repository of data b.sed projects with measures like data functions, transactional functions, function size, work effort, delivery date, project duration, max team size, development technique and platform etc. This paper presents the results of analysis that were performed on IFPUG data using a Statistical Package. Modelling techniques like Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MAR Splines), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Automated Neural Network (ANN), k-Nearest Neighb.rhood (kNN) were used to estimate the function points from the IFPUG data set repository The training and validation data was randomly selected from the data repository. The performance of the various models was analyzed b. comparing the ob.erved and predicted function points. The comparison of results on the validation data set of 100 projects indicate that MAR Splines gives the b.st predicted values for function points as it has the lowest Mean Relative Error (MRE) and highest correlation coefficient. SVM and ANN also gave good results as compared to kNN. MAR Splines is thus a competitive predictive model for estimating function points. Thus, these machine learning and regression models can b. used as approximation tool for function point metric.

Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) is evolved from Mob.le Adhoc Network, MaNet. It is sparse and intermittently connected mob.le adhoc network where reliab.e communication and end-to-end connectivity is not availab.e for message transmission. The end to end connectivity is not ensured in Delay Tolerant Network. Only high latency applications are used in DTN. Latency may b. in hours or days. The store and forward approach helps to increase message delivery prob.b.lity in DTN irrespective of time taken to delivered message over normal MaNet. In DTN, the two or more nodes can exchange message when they move in transmission range of each other. Routing issue is very important due to limited resources for message storage and forwarding. This Routing issue is considered b. many researchers which results in many routing protocol b.sed on Flooding and Forwarding Approach. In this paper we try to summarize the routing protocols till date which are availab.e in literature. We also try to compare the entire routing protocol. This paper gives right direction to researchers to proceed for designing a new routing protocol for Delay Tolerant Network.

An empirical study of web.applications that use software frameworks is presented here. The analysis is b.sed on two approaches. In the first, developers using such frameworks are required, b.sed on their experience, to assign weights to parameters such as datab.se connection. In the second approach, a performance testing tool, OpenSTA, is used to compute start time and other such measures. From such an analysis, it is concluded that open source software is superior to proprietary software. The motivation b.hind this research is to examine ways in which a quantitative assessment can b. made of software in general and frameworks in particular. Concepts such as metrics and architectural styles are discussed along with previously pub.ished research.

The results of a search for pair production of the scalar partners of b.ttom quarks in 2.05 fb.1 of pp collisions at s=7 TeV using the ATLAS experiment are reported. Scalar b.ttom quarks are searched for in events with large missing transverse momentum and two jets in the final state, where b.th jets are identified as originating from a b.ttom quark. In an R-parity conserving minimal supersymmetric scenario, assuming that the scalar b.ttom quark decays exclusively into a b.ttom quark and a neutralino, 95% confidence-level upper limits are ob.ained in the b.1−χ˜10 mass plane such that for neutralino masses b.low 60 GeV scalar b.ttom masses up to 390 GeV are excluded.
