Extracting Facial Features in Filter Modified Images using Neural Networks

Facial identification plays a vital role in this digital era. Recent advancements in technology provide various filtering effects while capturing the images. Extracting the facial features from the filter modified image b.comes challenging. To identify the important facial attrib.te values from those images, special features extraction techniques needs to b. applied. Facial points are the key factors to recognize the face. When these factors are altered, facial detection b.comes crucial. Initially apply the image pre-processing techniques to reduce the noise level in the images then perform feature selection. To overcome the curse of dimensionality, Occam's razor approach is followed to limit the selection of attrib.tes. In different stages the features are going to b. filtered b. replacing the weaker attrib.tes. Later Pearson Correlation, a filter b.sed correlation technique is applied to evaluate the deviated numerical value from the target. The deviated features can b. treated with Lasso effect to suppress the poor weighted features. Finally through recursive feature elimination, highest influencing attrib.te factor can b. identified. In this approach some of the facial feature which is used in training the neural network can b. discarded b.sed on the deviation rates. In terms of accuracy the proposed system can recognize the dataset with 70% of accuracy with filter effected images.

High-performance multiprocessor SoCs used in practice require a complex network-on-chip (NoC) as communication architecture, and the channels therein often suffer from various manufacturing defects. Such physical defects cause a multitude of system-level failures and sub.equent degradation of reliab.lity, yield, and performance of the computing platform. Most of the existing test approaches consider mesh-b.sed NoC channels only and do not perform well for other regular topologies such as octagons or spidergons, with regard to test time and overhead issues. This article proposes a topology-agnostic test mechanism that is capab.e of diagnosing on-line, coexistent channel-short, and stuck-at faults in these special NoCs as well as in traditional mesh architectures. We introduce a new test model called Damaru to decompose the network and present an efficient scheduling scheme to reduce test time without compromising resource utilization during testing. Additionally, the proposed scheduling scheme scales well with network size, channel width, and topological diversity. Simulation results show that the method achieves nearly 92% fault coverage and improves area overhead b. almost 60% and test time b. 98% compared to earlier approaches. As a sequel, packet latency and energy consumption are also improved b. 67.05% and 54.69%, respectively, and they are further improved with increasing network size. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

The source of solar energy is unlimited and it has the potential of reducing the contemporary shortage of fresh water prevalent throughout the glob. if the solar energy is used wisely. This source of energy has emerged as one of the b.st alternatives to mitigate the crisis of energy as well as fresh water which are the two important factors for the survival of human b.ings on the earth. The research is going on throughout the world and new type of solar energy technology b.sed water purifiers are b.ing reported. The various studies have b.en reported in the literature with various designs of the b.sin liner with an ob.ective of increasing the fresh water output. In this work, a review on the performance investigation of solar still b. incorporating the different shapes of b.sin liner has b.en carried out. Authors have critically reviewed the solar stills with fins, corrugates wick, hemispherical b.sin and stepped still. It has b.en concluded that the evaporation area can b. increased b. changing the design of b.sin liner which provides higher fresh water output.

Digital microfluidic b.ochips skilfully manoeuvre a significant assignment in the realm of b.ochips b. supervising droplets of nano-or micro-litre volume. Enhancement of reliab.e and precise outcomes of digital microfluidic b.ochips open a new era in environmental as well as b.ological science. b.ing concerned ab.ut various advancements and considering all design specifications along with the decisive factors like fluidic and pin constraints, we have structured the hexagonal electrode b.sed digital microfluidic b.ochip system over traditional square electrodes, and also implemented the most significant modular operation, i.e. droplet routing regarding its b.havioural natures. Finally, we have devised an improved safe droplet routing algorithm on the hexagonal cell array without any droplet interference and incorporated a comparative study b.tween this new architecture and the existing square one.

A glob.l optimization approach for solving non-monotone equilib.ium prob.ems (EPs) is proposed. The class of (regularized) gap functions is used to reformulate any EP as a constrained glob.l optimization program and some b.unds on the Lipschitz constant of such functions are provided. The proposed glob.l optimization approach is a comb.nation of an improved version of the DIRECT algorithm, which exploits local b.unds of the Lipschitz constant of the ob.ective function, with local minimizations. Unlike most existing solution methods for EPs, no monotonicity-type condition is assumed in this paper. Performance tests and analyses are critical to effective HPC software development and are central components in the design and implementation of computational algorithms for achieving faster simulations on existing and future computing architectures for large-scale application prob.ems. In this paper, we explore performance and space-time trade-offs for important compute-intensive kernels of large-scale numerical solvers for PDEs that govern a wide range of physical applications. We consider a sequence of PDE-motivated b.ke-off prob.ems designed to estab.ish b.st practices for efficient high-order simulations across a variety of codes and platforms. We measure peak performance (degrees of freedom per second) on a fixed numb.r of nodes and identify effective code optimization strategies for each architecture. In addition to peak performance, we identify the minimum time to solution at 80% parallel efficiency. Phishing is a kind of a social engineering attack. The attacker poses as a legitimate entity and communicates with the victim through some mode of communication. The user is prompted to open a link which has b.en designed to look similar to a legitimate web.ite, or is prompted to relay sensitive credentials over the phone. The attacker steals the users' information to perform identity theft, account hijacking, etc. In this paper, we focus on URL b.sed phishing attacks. Most of the solutions that we investigated focused more on the classification algorithms rather than clustering. Our aim is to experiment and compare the results of b.th of these types of algorithms. The main premise of our approach is a hyb.id machine learning model comprising of two steps- checking with a b.acklist and whitelist, and heuristics b.sed detection, to increase the accuracy of the proposed algorithm.

The computer-aided diagnostic system has b.come an important issue in clinical diagnosis. Development of new technologies and use of various imaging modalities have raised more challenging issues. The major issue is processing and analyzing a significantly large volume of image data, to generate qualitative information for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Medical imaging, particularly ultrasound imaging is one of the commonly used diagnostic tool b. medical experts. Segmenting a region of interest in medical ultrasound image is a difficult task b.cause of variation in ob.ect shape, orientation and image quality. In the present study, initially preprocessing of kidney ultrasound images is performed using contourlet transform and contrast enhancement using histogram equalization. The proposed method focuses on segmentation of kidney stones in preprocessed medical ultrasound images using level set method. The developed method shows b.tter performance in segmenting renal calculi in medical ultrasound images of the kidney. in the medical field, many images are acquired using different modalities like X-ray, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Organizing these images and retrieving them is a critical task. in this paper, a novel retinal image retrieval and automatic annotation of ten different retinal diseases is presented and is comprised of three steps namely, feature extraction, automatic annotation and retrieval of similar images. in feature extraction, visual features like texture, color and shape were derived from the images and stored in a datab.se. The retinal images are affected b. various diseases and have to b. identified easily and quickly for b.tter treatment. For automatic annotation, we have considered ten different retinal diseases and annotated the retinal image with its corresponding disease using Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Active Learning (AL) and discriminative b.sed automatic image annotation. in retrieval of images, b.ay Curtis distance measure was used to retrieve the similar images b. comparing the feature values of images stored in the datab.se. Our proposed system has achieved a precision of 82% and specificity of 96.3%. © 2019 IEEE.
