Online advertising is a popular business model where advertisers can deliver promotional marketing messages to their potential consumers via Ad brokers. However, as the proxy between advertisers and customers, a malicious Ad broker could arbitrarily fabricate the advertising rates to overcharge advertisers, which causes unnecessary financial loss. To deal with this issue, we propose a publicly verifiab.e and fair online advertising scheme. Specifically, a proof-of-downloading (PoD) protocol is first designed based on the zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive argument of knowledge (zk-SNARK), to help the customer generate a unique acknowledgment for downloading the Ad;the acknowledgment will then be published to both the advertiser and the Ad broker such that anyone can verify the acknowledgment to guarantee the fairness and transparency of online advertising. Moreover, as long as the customer's private key is not leaked, our scheme can resist the collusion attack, i.e., the Ad broker and the customer collude with each other to deceive the advertiser, which has not b.en addressed in previous works. Finally, we evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme to demonstrate its computational efficiency. © 2019 Ieee.

This paper presents an analysis of the conceptual design of a novel silicon suspension for the cryogenic test-mass mirrors of the low-frequency detector of the einstein Telescope gravitational-wave ob.ervatory. In traditional suspensions, tensional stress is a severe limitation for achieving low thermal noise, safer mechanical margins and high thermal conductance simultaneously. In order to keep the tensional stress sufficiently low, we propose the use of rigid beams with large cross sections, combined with short flexures under compressional load. This configuration takes advantage of the many times higher strength of silicon in compression to respect to its strength in tension. The flexures are mechanically robust and at the same time soft in the working direction, thus producing low suspension thermal noise and, by being short, provide high thermal conductance for cryogenic cooling. The rigid beams, located between the test mass and an intermediate mass, allow the elimination of the recoil mass used conventionally for applying control forces for interferometer lock, and the use of optical anti-springs to reduce the pendulum resonant frequency to further improve the vibration isolation of the test mass. The configuration has the capability to reach a lower mirror operational temperature, which is expected to produce a substantial reduction of the thermal noise in the mirrors of the interferometer. © 2025, CC bY.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is imposed to impersonate human cognitive functions. AI Techniques are most popular across healthcare. The motive behind implementing an AI system is to make the system more fast and efficient. Now, AI can assist medical physician for fast and accurate diagnosis of diseases. When the time of deployment of the AI system will come then, systems need to be 'trained' for a huge amount of data will be generated from different clinical performance data. Now a day's data is availab.e in a structured, unstructured and, semi-structured format. For supporting, retrieving results and knowledge from this data, its analysis using different AI techniques are availab.e. This includes machine learning methods for structured data and unsupervised learning for unstructured data which is useful for retrieving features when the outcome for some sub.ects is missing. In this paper different conventional machine learning techniques used in healthcare, domains is analyzed using different data types. Also, a comparison of different methods used in Artificial intelligence fiction in the healthcare domain is explored. A flow from clinical data creation, through NLP data enhancement and Machine learning data analysis for making clinical diagnosis decisions and its predictions are discussed and implementation using a support vector machine (SVM) on the healthcare dataset consisting of the patient questionnaire isdone.

Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) with their evolving data gathering capabilities will play a significant role in road safety and efficiency applications supported by Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), such as Traffic Signal Control (TSC) for urban traffic congestion management. However, their involvement will expand the space of security vulnerabilities and create larger threat vectors. In this paper, we perform the first detailed security analysis and implementation of a new cyber-physical attack category carried out by the network of CAVs against Adaptive Multi-Agent Traffic Signal Control (AMATSC), namely, coordinated Sybil attacks, where vehicles with forged or fake identities try to alter the data collected by the AMATSC algorithms to sabotage their decisions. Consequently, a novel, game-theoretic mitigation approach at the application layer is proposed to minimize the impact of such sophisticated data corruption attacks. The devised minimax game model enab.es the AMATSC algorithm to generate optimal decisions under a suspected attack, improving its resilience. extensive experimentation is performed on a traffic dataset provided by the City of Montréal under real-world intersection settings to evaluate the attack impact. Our results improved time loss on attacked intersections by approximately 48.9%. Substantial benefits can be gained from the mitigation, yielding more robust adaptive control of traffic across networked intersections. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Various applications in the areas of computational linguistics and artificial intelligence employ semantic similarity to solve challenging tasks, such as word sense disambiguation, text classification, information retrieval, machine translation, and document clustering. Previous work on semantic similarity followed a mono-relational approach using mostly the taxonomic relation"ISA". This paper explores the benefits of using all types of non-taxonomic relations in large linked data, such as WordNet knowledge graph, to enhance existing semantic similarity and relatedness measures. We propose a holistic poly-relational approach based on a new relation-based information content and non-taxonomic-based weighted paths to devise a comprehensive semantic similarity and relatedness measure. To demonstrate the benefits of exploiting non-taxonomic relations in a knowledge graph, we used three strategies to deploy non-taxonomic relations at different granularity levels. We conducted experiments on four well-known gold standard datasets, and the results demonstrated the robustness and scalability of the proposed semantic similarity and relatedness measure, which significantly improves existing similarity measures. The cloud computing technique, which was initially used to mitigate the explosive growth of data, has b.en required to take both data privacy and users’ query functionality into consideration. Symmetric searchab.e encryption (SSe) is a popular solution to supporting efficient keyword queries over encrypted data in the cloud. However, most of the existing SSe schemes focus on the exact keyword query and cannot work well when the user only remembers the substring of a keyword, i.e., substring-of-keyword query. This paper aims to investigate this issue by proposing an efficient and privacy-preserving substring-of-keyword query scheme over cloud. First, we employ the position heap technique to design a novel tree-based index to match substrings with corresponding keywords. based on the tree-based index, we introduce our substring-of-keyword query scheme, which contains two consecutive phases. The first phase queries the keywords that match a given substring, and the second phase queries the files that match a keyword in which people are really interested. The eckhaus instability is a secondary instability of nonlinear spatiotemporal patterns in which high-wave-number periodic solutions become unstab.e against small-wave-number perturbations. Here we show that this instability can take place in Kerr combs corresponding to subcritical Turing patterns upon changes in the laser detuning. The development of the eckhaus instability leads to the cracking of patterns and a long-lived transient where the peaks of the pattern rearrange in space due to spatial interactions. In the spectral domain, this results in a metastab.e Kerr comb dynamics with timescales that can be larger than 1 min. This time is, at least, seven orders of magnitude larger than the intracavity photon lifetime and is in sharp contrast with all the transient behaviors reported so far in cavity nonlinear optics that are typically only a few photon lifetimes long (i.e., in the picosecond to the microsecond range). This phenomenology, studied theoretically in the Lugiato-Lefever model and the ob.erved dynamics is compatib.e with experimental ob.ervations in Kerr combs generated in ultra-high-Q whispering-gallery mode resonators.

As the space sector looks to secure its next generation of innovators, educational institutions are seeking to expand their aerospace programming to attract students into the field. However, many of these programs are detached from the national space sector, and the opportunity to make connections with leaders in industry as well as other students and researchers are sparse before entering into the professional world. Non-for-profit student organizations that seek to create a national student presence in the space sector have an important role to play in facilitating the growth and handover of the space sector on the national stage. Using Students for the exploration and Development of Space Canada (SeDS-Canada) as a comparative case study, we sought to identify the opportunities and challenges that exist for student organizations in the space sector. A survey (via theme analysis and structured interviews) of other national student space organizations, including SeDS-USA, SeDS-India, UKSeDS, SeDS SriLanka, the roots of the developing SeDS-Italy, and other members of the SeDS-earth Council of Nations (CoN) provided a snapshot of the recruitment, membership structure, membership benefits, programming, and financial strategy of national student space organizations in various levels of establishment. Through this survey and comparative study with the growth of SeDS-Canada over the past 5 years, we identified several benefits to a strong national student presence in the space sector, most notably 1) the creation of opportunities for students at all levels through various project competitions and scholarships, 2) the ability to connect students with each other as well as industry mentors through national conferences such as Ascension (SeDS-Canada) and SpaceVision (SeDS-USA), 3) access to national student recruitment for industry through the student organization’s job postings, and 4) maintenance and development of student involvement in space activities on an intergovernm
