A search for the supersymmetric partners of quarks and gluons (squarks and gluinos) in final states containing hadronic jets and missing transverse momentum, but no electrons or muons, is presented. The data used in this search were recorded in 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS experiment in s=13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb−1. The results are interpreted in the context of various models where squarks and gluinos are pair produced and the neutralino is the lightest supersymmetric particle. An exclusion limit at the 95% confidence level on the mass of the gluino is set at 2.03 TeV for a simplified model incorporating only a gluino and the lightest neutralino, assuming the lightest neutralino is massless. For a simplified model involving the strong production of mass-degenerate first- and second-generation squarks, squark masses below 1.55 TeV are excluded if the lightest neutralino is massless. These limits substantially extend the region of supersymmetric parameter space previously excluded by searches with the ATLAS detector.

Results from a search for supersymmetry in events with four or more charged leptons (electrons, muons and taus) are presented. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to 36.1 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions delivered by the Large Hadron Collider at s=13 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector. Four-lepton signal regions with up to two hadronically decaying taus are designed to target a range of supersymmetric scenarios that can be either enriched in or depleted of events involving the production and decay of a Z boson. Data yields are consistent with Standard Model expectations and results are used to set upper limits on the event yields from processes beyond the Standard Model. exclusion limits are set at the 95% confidence level in simplified models of general gauge mediated supersymmetry, where Higgsino masses are excluded up to 295 GeV. In R-parity-violating simplified models with decays of the lightest supersymmetric particle to charged leptons, lower limits of 1.46, 1.06, and 2.25 TeV are placed on wino, slepton and gluino masses, respectively.

Numerous studies have b.en conducted using simulation models to predict the epidemiological spread of H1N1 and understand intervention trade-offs. However, existing models are generally not very accurate in H1N1 model predictions. In this report, we examine the impact of using particle filtering in a compartmental SeIRV (susceptib.e, exposed, infected, recovered and vaccinated) model which considers the impact of vaccination on the outb.eak in the province of Manitoba. For the purpose of evaluating the performance of the particle filtering method, this work further compares the ability of particle filtering and traditional calibration to anticipate the evolution of the outb.eak. Preliminary simulated results indicate that the particle filtering approach outperforms the calibration method in terms of the discrepancy between empirical data and model data. © 2015 Ieee.

This Letter presents a search for new resonances with mass larger than 250 GeV, decaying to a Z boson and a photon. The dataset consists of an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb⁻¹ of pp collisions collected at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The Z bosons are identified through their decays either to charged, light, lepton pairs (e⁺e⁻, μ⁺μ⁻) or to hadrons. The data are found to be consistent with the expected background in the whole mass range investigated and upper limits are set on the production cross section times decay branching ratio to Zγ of a narrow scalar boson with mass between 250 GeV and 2.75 TeV. © 2016 The Author(s)

We present an approach for the analysis of clinical data from extremely preterm infants, in order to determine if they are ready to be removed from invasive endotracheal mechanical ventilation. The data includes over 100 clinical features, and the sub.ect population is naturally quite small. To address this prob.em, we use feature selection, specifically mutual information, in order to choose a small sub.et of informative features. The other challenge we address is class imbalance, as there are many more bab.es that succeed extubation than those who fail. To handle this prob.em, we use SMOTe, an algorithm which creates synthetic examples of the minority class.

When we talk about running a lasting business that experiences drastic growth, a social media presence is critical. Having the knowledge of social media and its necessity, running a successful social media marketing campaign is totally a different idea. In fact, when it comes to establishing a social media presence that makes an impact, understanding the interest of all users & based on it publishing the required information as per their tastes is an important factor. For advertising campaigns and product development, discovering the appropriate target markets and audience is an important stage in the market research. This paper aims to focus on four important works i.e. Identifying the target users, Designing of market strategy/plan, building the marketing network (groups) & Statistical analysis of categories. Influentiality of target user has b.en discussed with real time instances. Categories have b.en found based on their influence by using clustering technique. Lastly, ended with statistical analysis that includes graphical representation of highly influenced users. Further this paper helps to extract emotional feelings of the user so that any related articles, posts or videos can be posted to that user.

This contribution is the preface of the volume of post-proceedings of the 10th Italian Research Conference on Digital Libraries, IRCDL 2014. The volume contains the reports on the invited presentations and the accepted papers. The accepted papers were initially reviewed for presentation at the conference, and after the presentation the papers were resubmitted by the authors in a revised version that included the suggestions received during the presentation at the conference. The resubmitted versions of the papers were reviewed by at least three anonymous reviewers and the accepted papers were revised by the authors taking into considerations the reviewers' suggestions. © 2014 The Authors. Data provenance is one of the most discussed sub.ects in the era of database analytics. Most of the database applications store a huge volume of useful data on several distributed servers, which can be acquired or reiterate for some decision making aspects such as what is the source of resultant data, why this data is generated, how this data is derived, who has created this data etc. This need leads to capture provenance information and querying. Thus an efficient provenance model has become the necessity for database analytics that can provide a number of characteristics such as debugging, backtracking, trust management, update management etc. Various provenance models for relational database analytics such as Db-Notes, Mondrian, Perm, Trio, Tramp, and Orchestra are existed in literature for capturing and querying the provenance information. Although each model has its own benefits and limitations, yet no one is efficient in all respect. Therefore, in this paper we have suggested a knowledge driven decision support system based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the performance of existing provenance models in relational database. For this purpose diverse decision parameters such as Audit Trail, Annotation, inversion, Schema Mapping, Overheads etc. are examined appropriately.
