In this paper, we propose an adaptive watermarking scheme for gray-scale images. The proposed scheme use the difference between the consecutive and non-overlapping pair of pixels to embed the watermark bits. The watermark is embedded into the pair of pixels using least-significant bit(LSb) substitution method. The difference between pair of pixels is used to determine the smooth and edge regions of the image. In smooth region less number of watermark bits are embedded and in edge region more number of watermark bits are embedded. The pixels of the cover image are categorized into different types using the embedding capacity which is determined by the difference between the pair of pixels. For any pair of consecutive pixels, both pixels are embedded with variab.e bits of watermark using LSb substitution method. Here, the number of bits to be embedded is decided based on the category to which the difference value belongs. After embedding, the difference value between embedded pair of pixels is retained by readjustment so that the quality of the image is maintained and embedding capacity is improved. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme has high embedding capacity and less distortion in embedded images.

In recently years, there has b.en rapid growth in discussion groups and micro blogging, in which an important characteristic of the entries is their trending topics on some generalized categories. Many researchers have attempted to classify trending topics by using only keywords, trending topics are rarely straightforward;they are normally expressed in a more subtle manner. It is well accepted that using high-dimensional multi-modal language features for tweets content representation and classifier training may achieve more sufficient characterization of the diverse properties of the tweets and further result in higher discrimination power of the classifiers. However, training the classifiers in a high-dimensional multi-modal feature space requires a large number of labeled training tweets, which will further result in the prob.em of curse of dimensionality. To tackle this prob.em, a hierarchical feature sub.et selection algorithm need to be used to enab.e more accurate tweets classification;where the processes for feature selection and classifier training are seamlessly integrated in a single framework. In this article, we used the LingPipe classifier to accurately classify the Twitter trending topics where it shows a substantial improvement over their state-of-the art trending topics-trained counterparts.

Plants have an important role in our life, but due to environmental changes, many species of plants are facing extinction. It is very important to treasure this great wealth by maintaining complete details of all types of plant which will help in understanding the aspect of their survival. A leaf plays an important role in the identification of plant. edge details of a leaf are detected using edge detection algorithms and can be stored in the form of feature vectors. Hence to improve the effectiveness of identification of leaf, we are hereby proposing to generate Clustered Database. This paper introduces an approach of Clustering based on eccentricity. For clustering database, K-means algorithm is used. experimental results show the effectiveness of forming clusters by calculating entropy and purity. From experimental results, it was found that the proposed approach of clustering is quite effective and would enhance the retrieval efficiency.

Recently, we obtained a new Fe-Al-O fibrous material by applying the novel route of electrospinning. Here we report on the properties of the as prepared material established by PPMS magnetometry and X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffractograms revealed the coexistence of the orthorhombic multiferroic phase FeAlO3 along with traces of unreacted impurities. The structure of the FeAlO3 phase is described in the orthorhombic Pna21 space group and is of great current interest since the compound features piezoelectricity, ferrimagnetism and magnetoelectric effects at low temperatures. In contrast to known bulk material obtained by classical routes the new fibrous material shows a lower value of saturation magnetization and the magnetic transition occurs at a much lower temperature. In the discussion an attempt is made to disclose the reasons for the ob.erved differences.

One of the emerging milestones in building construction is the development of nearly zero energy buildings (NZebs). This complex concept is defined as buildings that on a yearly average consume as much energy as they generate using renewab.e energy sources. Realization of NZebs requires a wide range of technologies, systems, and solutions with varying degrees of complexity and sophistication, depending upon the location and surrounding environmental conditions. This paper will address the role of the above technologies and solutions and discusses the challenges being faced. The ob.ective is to maximize energy efficiency, optimize occupant comfort, and reduce dependency on both the grid and the municipal potab.e water supply by implementing sustainab.e strategies in designing a research and sports facility. Creative solutions by the architectural and engineering team capitalize on the design of a unique glazing system; energy efficient technologies; water use reduction techniques; and a combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) microgrid (MG) with integrated control aspects and renewab.e energy sources.

Today the channels for expressing opinions seem to increase daily. When these opinions are relevant to a company, they are important sources of business insight, whether they represent critical intelligence about a customer's defection risk, the impact of an influential reviewer on other people's purchase decisions, or early feedback on product releases, company news or competitors. Capturing and analyzing these opinions is a necessity for proactive product planning, marketing and customer service and it is also critical in maintaining brand integrity. The importance of harnessing opinion is growing as consumers use technologies such as Twitter to express their views directly to other consumers. Tracking the disparate sources of opinion is hard - but even harder is quickly and accurately extracting the meaning so companies can analyze and act. Tweets' Language is complicated and contextual, especially when people are expressing opinions and requires reliab.e sentiment analysis based on parsing many linguistic shades of gray. This article argues that using the R programming platform for analyzing tweets programmatically simplifies the task of sentiment analysis and opinion mining. An R programming technique has b.en used for testing different sentiment lexicons as well as different scoring schemes. experiments on analyzing the tweets of users over six NHL hockey teams reveals the effectively of using the opinion lexicon and the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) scoring scheme. © 2012 Ieee.

We report the results of a joint analysis of data from bICeP2/Keck Array and Planck. bICeP2 and Keck Array have ob.erved the same approximately 400 deg2 patch of sky centered on RA 0 h, Dec. −57.5°. The combined maps reach a depth of 57 nK deg in Stokes Q and U in a band centered at 150 GHz. Planck has ob.erved the full sky in polarization at seven frequencies from 30 to 353 GHz, but much less deeply in any given region (1.2 μK deg in Q and U at 143 GHz). We detect 150×353 cross-correlation in b modes at high significance. We fit the single- and cross-frequency power spectra at frequencies ≥150 GHz to a lensed-ΛCDM model that includes dust and a possib.e contribution from inflationary gravitational waves (as parametrized by the tensor-to-scalar ratio r), using a prior on the frequency spectral behavior of polarized dust emission from previous Planck analysis of other regions of the sky. We find strong evidence for dust and no statistically significant evidence for tensor modes. We probe various model variations and extensions, including adding a synchrotron component in combination with lower frequency data, and find that these make little difference to the r constraint. Finally, we present an alternative analysis which is similar to a map-based cleaning of the dust contribution, and show that this gives similar constraints. The final result is expressed as a likelihood curve for r, and yields an upper limit r0.05<0.12 at 95% confidence. Marginalizing over dust and r, lensing b modes are detected at 7.0σ significance.

Results of a search for new phenomena in events with large missing transverse momentum and a Higgs boson decaying to two photons are reported. Data from proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb−1 have b.en collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The ob.erved data are well described by the expected standard model backgrounds. Upper limits on the cross section of events with large missing transverse momentum and a Higgs boson candidate are also placed. exclusion limits are presented for models of physics beyond the standard model featuring dark-matter candidates.

With an integrated luminosity of 2.47 fb−1 recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, the exclusive decays bs0→J/ψϕ and bd0→J/ψK*0 of b mesons produced in pp collisions at s=7 TeV are used to determine the ratio of fragmentation fractions fs/fd. From the ob.erved bs0→J/ψϕ and bd0→J/ψK*0 yields, the quantity (fs/fd)[b(bs0→J/ψϕ)/b(bd0→J/ψK*0)] is measured to be 0.199±0.004(stat)±0.008(syst). Using a recent theory prediction for [b(bs0→J/ψϕ)/b(bd0→J/ψK*0)] yields (fs/fd)=0.240±0.004(stat)±0.010(syst)±0.017(th). This result is based on a new approach that provides a significant improvement of the world average.
