in the medical field, many images are acquired using different modalities like X-ray, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Organizing these images and retrieving them is a critical task. in this paper, a novel retinal image retrieval and automatic annotation of ten different retinal diseases is presented and is comprised of three steps namely, feature extraction, automatic annotation and retrieval of similar images. in feature extraction, visual features like texture, color and shape were derived from the images and stored in a database. The retinal images are affected by various diseases and have to be identified easily and quickly for better treatment. For automatic annotation, we have considered ten different retinal diseases and annotated the retinal image with its corresponding disease using Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Active Learning (AL) and discriminative based automatic image annotation. in retrieval of images, bray Curtis distance measure was used to retrieve the similar images by comparing the feature values of images stored in the database. Our proposed system has achieved a precision of 82% and specificity of 96.3%. © 2019 IEEE.

Skin cancer is very important notable disease and it is probable to everyone nowadays, it flourishes on the area of body where it exposed to ultraviolet rays. It leads anomalous gain in skin cells. It initiate on various parts of body like face, hand and bottoms of the feet as cautious hole or spot. The initial investigation of anomalous gain is essence to cure the disease at early stage, and it still remains a feasible challenge in the scientific improvements. From the analysis, this paper endeavour to inspect the category of disease with the following improvements. Initially, the skin dataset from ISIC machine archive is utilized for image processing. Secondly, the values of dataset images are normalized by dividing all the RGb values by 255. Thirdly, keras sequential API is used to add one layer at a time, initiating from the input. The CNN can extract the features that are useful for classifying the image, by using the kernel filter matrix. MaxPool reduce the computational cost by down-sampling the image, and the relu activation function is implemented to provide non linearity to the network. The flatten layer is utilized to remodel the final feature maps into 1D vector. CNN model provides accuracy of 94.83% with 3297 images and ResNet 50 model has attained accuracy of 90.78% due to less number of images used for classification. AlexNet model has attained accuracy of 81.8% with 1300 images and GoogleNet V3 inception has attained accuracy of 96% with 3374 images. Finally Vgg16 model has attained accuracy of 97.3% with 5636 samples.

The ability of an eavesdropper to compromise the security of a quantum communication system by changing the angle of the incoming light is well-known. Randomizing the role of the detectors has been proposed to be an efficient countermeasure to this type of attack. Here we show that the proposed countermeasure can be bypassed if the attack is generalized by including more attack variables. Using the experimental data from existing literature, we show how randomization effectively prevents the initial attack but fails to do so when Eve generalizes her attack strategy. Our result and methodology could be used to security-certify a free-space quantum communication receiver against all types of detector-efficiency-mismatch type attacks. © 2021, CC bY.

3D printing is an extensive and competent process used for creating a three-dimensional (3D) object by solidifying the material which can be liquid molecule or powder grains under the control of computer. Nowadays, 3D printing is being used in almost all fields, especially in Automation, Defense, Healthcare, Aeronautics, etc. In the field of Healthcare, the idea of bioprinting is implemented. bioprinting, simply put is using 3D printing technology into biology, i.e, combining biomaterials to fabricate biomedical parts. This paper discusses how 3D printing has progressed and what further development can be done with respect to its cost effectiveness and relative availability to places facing medical crisis due to shortage of such advancing technologies.

In the process of medication, it is a common practice to treat patients with saline for dehydration and other medical ailments to improve the health condition of the patients. When fed with saline continuous observation of nurses is mandatory in monitoring the level of the saline. There are many cases where patients are being harmed due to the staff inattentiveness, as their absence does not notice the completion of saline level in the container. This arise the problem of back flow of blood immediately after the completion of saline in container. Hence to protect the patient from getting harmed an IoT based saline level monitoring system has been developed. The proposed model incorporates a sensor which continuously detects the saline drops. Whenever the sensor does not detect the drops for a certain interval it alerts the staff of the hospital with the buzzer, helping to monitor the safety of the patients.

Project Loon is an ingenious initiative by the Google to provide a wireless network to remote areas thus providing Internet access to 4.5 billion people who are currently offline. This technology involves the use of specially designed helium balloons launched in the stratosphere, which work in coordination with each other and the ground antenna based on complex algorithms, thus aiming to provide a cost effective yet reliable and environment-friendly way to beam the Internet from the sky to places lacking it. This preternatural phenomenon thus aims at innovating the connectivity worldwide.

Cloud computing mainly aims to deliver the storage and retrieval of large number of data over the internet for cloud consumers. Many researchers and developers are into the deployment of Cloud architecture by analyzing it in the cloud data centers power consumption models. The challenges faced by the data analytics are to reduce the computational power for the data, as the data growth is infinite over the period. In order to solve this problem a novel approach is needed for the cloud computing for cost computational methods. Our proposed model is an energy aware cost computation for solving the complex data computation through load balancing in the cloud. Our experimental outcomes through Cloudsim have demonstrated the effectiveness and competence of the proposed cost computational algorithm in the Cloud environment in terms of response time, throughput and other QoS metrics.

Video streaming over HTTP through 4G wireless network used for multimedia applications faces many challenges due to fluctuations in network conditions. The existing HTTP Adaptive Streaming (HAS) techniques based on prediction of buffer state or link bandwidth offer solution to some extent, but if the link condition deteriorates, the adaptation process may reduce the streaming bit rate below an acceptable quality level. In this paper, we propose a machine learning based method, State Action Reward State Action (SARSA) based Quality Adaptation algorithm using Softmax Policy (SbQA-SP), which identifies the current state (Throughput), action (Streaming quality) and reward (current video quality) at client to determine the future state and action of the system. The ITU-T G.1070 recommendation (parametric) modelis embedded in the SbQA-SP to implement adaptation process. The proposed system was implemented on the top of HTTP in a typical internet environment using 4G wireless network and the streaming quality is analyzed using several full reference video metrics. The test results outperformed the existing Q-Learning based video quality adaptation (QbQA) algorithm. For instance, an improvement of 5% in average PSNR and 2 % increase in average SSIM index over the QbQA approach was observed for the live stream. © 2017 ITU.
