The future deployment of terawatt-scale proton exchange membrane water electrolyzer (PEMWE) technology necessitates development of an efficient oxygen evolution catalyst with low cost and long lifetime. Currently, the stability of the most active iridium (Ir) catalysts is impaired by dissolution, redeposition, detachment, and agglomeration of Ir species. Here we present a ripening-induced embedding strategy that securely embeds the Ir catalyst in a cerium oxide support. Cryogenic electron tomography and all-atom kinetic Monte Carlo simulations reveal that synchronizing the growth rate of the support with the nucleation rate of Ir, regulated by sonication, is pivotal for successful synthesis. A PEMWE using this catalyst achieves a cell voltage of 1.72 volts at a current density of 3 amperes per square centimeter with an Ir loading of just 0.3 milligrams per square centimeter and a voltage degradation rate of 1.33 microvolts per hour, as demonstrated by a 6000-hour accelerated aging test.

Parallel I/O is a critical technique for moving data between compute and storage subsystems of supercomputers. With massive amounts of data produced or consumed by compute nodes, high-performant parallel I/O is essential. I/O benchmarks play an important role in this process;however, there is a scarcity of I/O benchmarks representative of current workloads on HPC systems. Toward creating representative I/O kernels from real-world applications, we have created h5bench, a set of I/O kernels that exercise hierarchical data format version 5 (HDF5) I/O on parallel file systems in numerous dimensions. Our focus on HDF5 is due to the parallel I/O library's heavy usage in various scientific applications running on supercomputing systems. The various tests benchmarked in the h5bench suite include I/O operations (read and write), data locality (arrays of basic data types and arrays of structures), array dimensionality (one-dimensional arrays, two-dimensional meshes, three-dimensional cubes), I/O modes (synchronous and asynchronous). In this paper, we present the observed performance of h5bench executed along several of these dimensions on existing supercomputers (Cori and Summit) and pre-exascale platforms (Perlmutter, Theta, and Polaris). h5bench measurements can be used to identify performance bottlenecks and their root causes and evaluate I/O optimizations. As the I/O patterns of h5bench are diverse and capture the I/O behaviors of various HPC applications, this study will be helpful to the broader supercomputing and I/O community. © 2024 Lawrence Berkeley National laboratory, The HDF Group, UChicago Argonne, LLC and The Authors. Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.

This paper investigates the (Formula presented.) control problem for discrete-time uncertain slow sampling Markov jump systems under the event-triggered scheme. Discrete-time Markov jumps are controlled using an event-triggered scheme. An event-based strategy is addressed to reduce the data communication and improve the control efficiency. By applying a switched Lyapunov functional and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), we derive sufficient conditions for (Formula presented.) -dissipativity of the resulting system. An event-triggered scheme is introduced into LMIs approaches in order to solve the dissipative control problem. The control strategy is implemented by combining the disturbance output with state feedback control law in order to achieve asymptotically stable closed-loop systems. Convex combination approach is utilized to handle slow sampling input, while parameter uncertainty and external disturbances are both included, and the robustness (Formula presented.) performance is analyzed. The developed methods are illustrated with two examples that illustrate their flexibility and applicability. © 2025 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Nowadays,the security of images or information is very *** paper introduces a proposed hybrid watermarking and encryption technique for increasing medical image ***,the secret medical image is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)***,the secret report of the patient is embedded into the encrypted secret medical image with the Least Signiﬁcant Bit(LSB)watermarking *** that,the encrypted secret medical image with the secret report is concealed in a cover medical image,using Kekre’s Median Codebook Generation(KMCG)***,the stego-image obtained is split into 16 ***,it is sent to the *** adopt this strategy to send the secret medical image and report over a network *** proposed technique is assessed with different encryption quality metrics including Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Correlation Coefﬁcient(Cr),Fea-ture Similarity Index Metric(FSIM),and Structural Similarity Index Metric(SSIM).Histogram estimation is used to conﬁrm the matching between the secret medical image before and after *** results demonstrate that the proposed technique achieves good performance with high quality of the received medical image and clear image details in a very short processing time.

The need for a building with a green building concept is now very important for environmental conservation. The concept of green building is to design a building that has a more efficient consumption of electrical energy. The Energy Consumption Intensity (ECI) of a building in Indonesia with a tropical climate is regulated in SNI no 03-0196: 2010. In this standard, the ECI of an air-conditioned building is said to be efficient if it has a consumption of 7.93-12.08 kWh/M2/month. Meanwhile, according to the Indonesian Green Building Council (GBCI), the ECI in Green Building is 50% of a conventional building. In this study, electrical energy consumption was measured for at least 1 year. The research location is the Head Office Building of PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero), a State-Owned Enterprise located in Batubara Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. According to the results of the analysis of existing data, it can be concluded that the Inalum Building has an efficient electricity consumption intensity according to SNI standards, with a value of 78.34 kWh/m2/year or 6.53 kWh/m2/month. However, as a green building, the existing air-conditioned space still has an ECI value that exceeds the specified standard. According to the SNI standard classification, this building is still considered energy-intensive because the ECI value of an air-conditioned room is 243.56 kWh/m2/year or 20.29 kWh/m2/month. The novelty that we get in this research is the actual Energy Consumption Intensity (ECI) indexes of this green building. © 2022 IEEE.

Machine learning, a vital part of artificial intelli-gence, improves our ability to make predictions from complex data. The success of these predictions relies heavily on the model's fit with its data and the data's consistency. Accurate predictions depend on closely matching the model to the data patterns. However, missing data can seriously disrupt the accuracy of predictions, causing errors. To address this, we recommend adopting a proposed framework that enhances predictions by effectively filling in missing data. Our objective is to refine the accuracy of our predictions, especially in scenarios where the data might be incomplete and features exhibit patterns of dependency. In the context of missing data, our approach concentrates on enhancing regression performance to minimize the effects of missing data as effectively as possible. © 2024 IEEE.
