In real life, many activities are performed sequentially. These activities must be carried out sequentially, such as the assembly process in the manufacturing production process. This series of activities cannot be reduced or added so that the main goal of the series of activities is achieved. Apart from that, there are also time series events that occur naturally, such as rainy and hot conditions in a certain area. The classification process of time series activities is very important to see the possibility of anomalies occurring. The significant development of machine learning models in recent years has made the process of classifying time series data increasingly researched. Several previous studies stated that deep learning models were more accurate in classifying time series data. In this paper, we will compare Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Transformer deep learning models in classifying time series data. Experimental results using the same public datasets for CNN and Transformer model show that the CNN model is more accurate than the Transformer model. The results of measuring accuracy using confusion matrix show that CNN has an accuracy of 92% and Transformer has an accuracy of 80%. © 2023 IEEE.

The ability to differentiate various products in the retail store plays an essential role to provide effectiveness to customers and reduce or even eliminate long queues. However, traditional machine learning algorithms are incapable of recognizing many subordinate categories in various retail product. This paper aims to recognize the retail product recognition algorithm based on the YOLOv7 model in terms of intra-class variations, with the sub-categories of brand and size. We used two schemes of the dataset to compare recognition performance between them. Firstly, the YOLOv7 is applied in the two schemes of the dataset that is annotated with the subordinate category to detect the brand as meta category. Secondly, the proposed method is applied by adding the object size classification into the YOLOv7 model where the square area of the bounding box was calculated to classify the product according to size. Confidence score and square area are used to verify the object and to obtain the product size, which represents sub-category of the product. The experimental results show that our proposed method achieves higher recall compared to baseline object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Edit distance as a string measurement metric is often used to help detect misspellings in languages. This paper aims to compare two string spelling error correction algorithms for the Indonesian language. The N-gram, Jaro-Winkler distance, and Levenshtein distance algorithms are used to determine whether they can accurately correct typological errors in the Indonesian language. Moreover, this study utilized KNIME tools to process the data from beginning to end. The data was retrieved from news in Indonesia. After the experiment on N from 1 to 12, the results obtained for the comparative analysis proved that Jaro-Winkler distance performed better than Levenshtein distance for comparing smaller strings like words and names. However, Levenshtein distance performs as well as Jaro-Winkler distance started from four strings. Finally, both Jaro-Winkler distance and Levenshtein distance algorithm got the best performance accuracy for eight strings with an accuracy of 99.52 percent. The result of this study is also presented that both algorithms can support word error correction for the Indonesian language. © 2023 IEEE.

The characteristics of the disease that spreads quickly, the number of sufferers, and the severity of sufferers of Coronavirus Disease 2019 are components of uncertainty during the pandemic. In an uncertain situation, prediction models for the need for drugs and medical devices are of great concern to policymakers in government, drug manufacturers, distributors, and pharmaceutical installation managers to maintain drug availability. Drug need prediction models that rely on historical data components on drug use are no longer reliable. Learning from the COVID-19 case, epidemiological variables correlate with predicting drug demand. This research includes data on ten major diseases in private hospital units for 2017-2022 to complete historical data on drug use. This study implements the Random Forest algorithm. The research method uses literature studies and processing field data from pharmaceutical installations. The analysis process uses KNIME software. The level of accuracy in predicting drug demand from historical drug use data was 77.272%, increasing to 81.818% with a model for predicting drug demand based on consumption cycles and classification of drug therapy groups. Furthermore, predictions of drug demand can consider variables recorded in medical records related to the seasonal frequency of diseases. © 2023 IEEE.

Membership function (MF) in process of fuzzy logic is very meaningful. It depicts the core of model. It can be adopted from the expert judgment and also coming from the configuration of data behavior. The study is an experimental research by analyzing time-series data behavior in developing the MF by using the programming language Python. The MF academically produced called as floating MF (FMF). Such a FMF operated to realize the fuzzy logic conception in an evaluation model. The constructed model is a model in simply measuring the student's performance. By using the ten series-data of student's grade point average (GPA) and absence per annual (APS) values, the model can simulate the moving students' performance per semester. When compared to the conventional FL based model, the proposed model has a similarity average 85%. © 2022 IEEE.

The advancements in technology during the 20th century resulted in the onset of the digital computer era. This study investigates the relative importance of earlier algorithms in comparison to more recent ones. Various research projects suggest improving vectorization by combining conventional and modern techniques, while others suggest optimizing it through algorithmic methods. This study primarily focuses on employing Bayesian optimization to optimize hyperparameters, hence improving the performance evaluation of TF-IDF FastText sentiment classification models. This study presented four models: the initial model utilized FastText with a preprocessing step that involved removing stopwords, the second model employed Fast-Text without any optimization using Bayesian optimization, the third model utilized FastText with optimization using Bayesian optimization, and the fourth model combined FastText with TF-IDF and was further optimized using Bayesian optimization. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) technique will be employed to evaluate all of the models. The findings suggest that the model's performance stays unchanged when stopwords are eliminated (Precision, Recall, F1: 0.9007). The model demonstrates a slight enhancement through the utilization of Bayesian optimization, resulting in a 0.02% increase, reaching a final accuracy of 0.9019%. Bayesian optimization is frequently employed to improve performance. The performance of Bayesian optimization is affected by the magnitude of the learning rate, and models that do not utilize Bayesian optimization demonstrate inferior performance. Both the TF-IDF FasText model and FastText model yielded comparable outcomes, attaining an F1 score of 0.9019 after being tuned by Bayesian optimization. © 2023 IEEE.

Automation testing is essential to carry out functional testing quickly and precisely. Software testing is beneficial for testers doing many testing processes according to the existing scenarios. So, there is an urgency to explore a more advanced solution to replace the traditional approach. Silk Test Workbench is a tool for automation testing that can accelerate the functional testing of complex applications. For this research, we proposed automation testing on website applications with various testing scenarios that have been made. The visual test recording method is used for automation testing with Silk Test Workbench. Silk Test Workbench can speed up testing time, make a good test asset testing scenario, make it easier for users to do testing, and speed up the process to get the result in the form of a screen capture of the testing process. A comparison of testing time has been performed. The automatic testing time with the scenarios is 2 hours 46 minutes. The automatic testing time will be 2 hours 36 minutes using the all-in-one scenario. This study also used questionnaires from colleagues in the Quality Assurance field to get maximum User Acceptance Test results. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Since cloud computing becoming the trend, the way servers being implemented slowly moves to the cloud. Companies did not need to buy a physical server machine to deploy an app. Having a private server on cloud infrastructure indeed already reduce some cost for on-premise server maintenance. However, there is still a cost for usage when the server is inactive or having low to no traffic at all. Serverless deployment offer function as a service where application is deployed as a function and cost is billed per function call. This paper proposed a solution where there are two deployment that works in turn between infrastructure as a service and function as a service deployment. This dual deployment offered the system to use the virtual private server or deployed instance on active hours, and switch to serverless functions on inactive hours. Switching to serverless on low traffic hours will cut the usage and cost of the microservice app by the least 25%, while having performance slightly comparable to microservice app deployed to instances. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. Evaluation of cryptocurrency's performance is performed questionably. There is no role for computer-model, make such an evaluation process does not have guidance. In this study, a simple decision support model (DSM) based on fuzzy logic was academically constructed to observe the cryptocurrency's performance. By operating the primary method of fuzzy logic and taking into account three types of parameters (i.e. time-series close price data, daily max-min price, and transaction number), a novel DSM for evaluating the cryptocurrency's performance was fruitfully executed. Based on three types of real cryptocurrency six-month data (i.e. Bitcoin Ethereum, and Dogecoin), the model could irreversibly expose that Bitcoin has the best performance with 36.39 performance points. © 2022 IEEE.

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) is useful for converting speech into text. ASR is needed to display automatic subtitles on movies or when conducting video conferencing. The use of deep learning in ASR applications is currently still dominated by Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). Several previous studies used the Transformer deep learning model in building the ASR model. The accuracy results obtained are better than the LSTM or RNN models. However, ASR research using the Transformer model is still very limited. This paper will discuss the use of the Transformer model for ASR in Indonesian. The dataset used is the Indonesian language private speech dataset. The experimental results show that the Word Error Rate (WER) and Character Error Rate (CER) produced by the proposed model using the Indonesian language primary dataset are almost the same as using the English language public dataset where the resulting WER and CER are 27.34 and 7.96 for Indonesian and 25.28 and 6.02 for English. © 2023 IEEE.
