Social media is an online media that functions as a platform for users to participate, share, create, and exchange information through various forums and social networks. The rapid increase in social media activity causes an increase in the number of comments on social media. This is prone to triggering debate due to the easy formation of open discussions between social media users. However, the debate often triggers the emergence of negative things, causing great fights on social media. Social media users often use comments containing toxic words to argue and corner a party or group. This study conducted an experiment to detect comments containing toxic sentences on social media in Indonesia using a Pre-Trained Model that was trained for Indonesian. This study performed a multilabel classification and evaluated the classification results generated by the Multilingual BERT (MBERT), IndoBERT, and Indo Roberta Small models. The optimal result of this study is to use the IndoBERT model with an F1 Score of 0.8897. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

In recent times, there has been considerable attention directed towards Facial Expression Recognition (FER) due to its extensive utility across diverse domains. However, the universality of facial expressions has been challenged by studies suggesting that cultural backgrounds significantly influence the perception and recognition of emotions. This paper addresses the need for culturally specific datasets in FER tasks, particularly in underrepresented regions like Indonesia. The study introduces dynamic images as an alternative input representation for facial expression recognition tasks, aiming to assess their efficacy using the Indonesian Mixed Emotions Dataset (IMED). Through experimentation using EfficientNet model, the performance of dynamic images is compared with static image and video inputs. Results indicate that dynamic images exhibit promising performance, with an accuracy of 94.28%. These results outperform static image datasets and nearly match the performance of video-based models, which achieved an accuracy of 97.93 %, despite using fewer data. Nonetheless, challenges such as data imbalance and the quality of generated dynamic images persist, suggesting avenues for further research and model refinement. This study provides valuable insights into methodological advancements in FER, particularly in limited dataset conditions, laying the groundwork for future developments in dynamic image-based facial expression recognition algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

The scenario of online learning is a very urgent need in the world of future knowledge. Since the Corona Virus Disease-19 pandemic, the world economy has started to plummet and caused many adults to lose their jobs. The advantage is the flexibility and rapid development of the internet. In 2020, the number of unemployed increased significantly. This reason makes people strive to improve their ability to meet job requirements by taking online courses. Online courses are a way that people can choose to improve their skills anywhere and anytime. The sustainability of online course material that is offered to the course user and issued by the company will be discussed in this study. The novelty of this research is to obtain a decision support model based on fuzzy logic for determining online courses. The method used is decision-making based on UML and fuzzy logic for the final decision. The fuzzy inference model process begins by determining the decision parameters then using fuzzification with absolute input then refracted with fuzzy criteria, and ends with defuzzification with absolute output. There are two groups of parameters in this study, company profits which consist of 5 parameters and user benefits, which consist of 9 parameters. Once the model is verified and valid, the final decision is useful for users looking for online course and also useful for the decision unit of online course companies in determining the sustainability of online course materials. © 2022 IEEE.

Preventive strategies should be the utmost priority when dealing with diverse patients suffering from malignant ventricular arrhythmia (MVA) that can lead to sudden cardiac death (SCD). Electrocardiogram (ECG) data is commonly used as a predictor for MVA predictive models. In this study, all ECG signals from MIT-BIH databases were fragmented into five-minute durations with a frequency sampling of 128 Hz. To solve the absence of hybrid optimizations in Machine Learning (ML) models, a novel Variational Quantum Neural Network (VQNN) was invented. Empowered by deep learning capabilities and optimized quantum circuits design, VQNN achieved remarkable performances designated by an accuracy of up to 95.1%, a perfect 100% recall, and a 95.2% score of the area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (AUC ROC) with Conjugate Gradient as an optimizer and EfficientSU2 as a quantum ansatz. Despite the susceptibility to quantum noise, this research settles a new trajectory of utilizing quantum variational algorithms to predict and expand its applicability for MVA cases. © 2024 The Authors.

Student retention is crucial for educational institutions, influencing reputation, finances, and ranking metrics. Engagement, reflecting a student’s connection, interest, and effort, plays a vital role in learning, fostering critical thinking, and supporting retention. Recent advancements use students’ poses to predict engagement, providing valuable insights without disrupting the teaching-learning dynamic. The prevailing research trend leans toward employing multi-modal approaches, such as a combination of pose detection with object detection. However, current methods use out-of-date object detection methods and manual dataset creation, which is cumbersome, requiring thousands of manually annotated data. This problem is then addressed by proposing a novel method of student engagement detection, using a combination of You Only Look Once Version 8 Mini (YOLOv8m) and MediaPipe as state-of-the-art alternatives to improve both object detection and human pose estimation. The (YOLOv8m + MediaPipe) method surpasses the baseline (YOLOv4 + OpenPose) with higher accuracy (0.70 vs. 0.41) and lower cross-entropy loss (0.40 vs. 0.60) on the test set, confirmed by a statistically significant paired t-test. It also exhibits a remarkable speed advantage, around 16 times faster than the baseline in pose detection data collection rates. Despite not being designed for it, the proposed method achieves multiple keypoint detection, matching the baseline’s amount. © (2025), (International Association of Engineers). All rights reserved.

This study discusses the development of smart precision farming systems using big data and cloud-based intelligent decision support systems. Big data plays an important role in collecting, storing, and analyzing large amounts of data from various sources related to agriculture, including data from weather stations, soil sensors, satellite imagery, crop yield records, pest and disease reports, and other sources. This study highlights the differences between smart farming and precision farming. This study describes key techniques and system architecture, including data collection, processing, analysis, and decision support components. Utilizing a cloud platform enables scalability and optimized performance, which lowers costs and makes it safer and easier to manage. The integration of big data and Alibaba cloud computing in smart precision farming can improve farming productivity by providing timely information and recommendations to farmers for better decision-making. Finally, the system produces smart precision farming, which provides cost-effective real-Time monitoring and predictive analytics to increase agricultural production and sustainability. © 2023 IEEE.

With the large amount of information available on the internet, recommendation tasks have grown to be more crucial than ever. Businesses that store digital media on the internet such as video streaming and music streaming platforms, benefit a lot from recommendation systems. A simple yet powerful recommendation system that can give better recommendation performance is always being sought after. Light Graph Convolution Network (LightGCN) is a simplified version of Graph Convolution Network (GCN) for collaborative filtering in recommendation systems. LightGCN architecture includes only the most essential part of GCN for collaborative filtering that is the neighborhood aggregation, it removes the feature transformation and nonlinear activation because both of them contribute little to no effect to the recommendations. The focus of this research is to optimize LightGCN by tuning the hyperparameters using exhaustive search (grid search). The optimized LightGCN model is able to out-perform LightGCN by more than 140% in music recommendation © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid expansion of e-wallet services in Indonesia has significantly heightened the need for efficient customer service solutions, making chatbots an essential tool for user support. However, many providers continue to rely on rule-based chatbots, resulting in rigid interactions that struggle to meet diverse user needs or handle the linguistic complexities of the Indonesian language. This study addresses these limitations by developing an AI-powered intent classification model specifically tailored for Indonesian e-wallet customer service, aimed at delivering a more accurate, adaptive, and user-centered experience. A custom dataset was created from user comments on social media associated with Indonesia's top e-wallet providers, followed by data pre-processing and clustering using the BERTopic model. To improve interpretability, OpenAI's GPT-4 was employed for label refinement, resulting in enhanced clarity. Various models were tested, including IndoBERT, RoBERTa, and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures in both 2D and 3D configurations. The highest-performing model combined IndoBERT embeddings with a 3D CNN classifier, achieving an accuracy of 84.30%, precision of 84.33%, recall of 84.30%, and an F1-score of 84.24%. This study contributes a unique Indonesian-specific dataset and demonstrates the potential of AI to transform customer service interactions in Indonesia's e-wallet sector, offering a clear advancement over traditional rule-based approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

The point of Agile Methodology is continuous improvement, delivering a small feature quickly without sacrificing the feature quality;every sprint must be better than the previous sprint, and better can be fewer bugs, faster development, and testing. We will present how we reduce production bugs by customizing our sprint iteration. As we know, bugs are unavoidable, there is no software engineer that can make software without a bug;however, we can reduce bugs in production if we can find bugs in lower environments as early as possible. The case study in this paper was taken from one of technology company in Indonesia, the activity was done by the Quality Engineer (QA) Team. We will show that shift-left testing can help us reduce bugs in production. Testing is part of agile methodology, and the main idea of shift-left testing is to move testing early and could be done by any team member, not only QA. We include shift-left testing in our agile methodology for one year in 2022 and compare the result in the previous year. © 2023 IEEE.

The ability of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to accurately discriminate between normal and tumorous brain tissues has been promising. The review focuses on the different CNN models, pre-processing methods, data augmentation, and Transfer Learning (TL) strategies used in this research. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) collected the data from Google Scholar. The results of this study indicate that open-source datasets from Kaggle and Brain MRI Images for Brain Tumor Detection are the most used datasets. However, limited data and imbalanced class problems remain common challenges across various datasets. To overcome those challenges, using a larger dataset, oversampling, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), federated learning, and Self-Supervised Learning (SSL) to handle the imbalance are the potential solution. Additionally, popular CNN architectures for brain tumor classification extensively use pre-trained models such as VGG16, VGG19, DenseNet121, DenseNet201, GoogleNet, ResNet-50, and Inception-v3. TL strategies are preferred, allowing CNNs to leverage knowledge from large datasets, improving generalization even with limited labeled data. © 2023 IEEE.
