The city of Jakarta is getting more and more congested and crowded by the number and types of vehicles. Lack of public awareness to use public transportation causes this congestion to worsen, especially during rush hours in the morning before going to work or school and in the afternoon when returning home. This is also caused by the lack of the government of the capital city of Jakarta in providing cheap, safe, and comfortable public transportation. It is not surprising that the Indonesian government has plans to move the capital city of the Indonesian government from Jakarta on the island of Java to East Kalimantan on the island of Kalimantan. Therefore, seeing this severe traffic jam, it is essential to propose an application that can reduce congestion so that drivers who bring their vehicles can share with people around them to travel to work as a routine activity during weekdays. The model of this vehicle sharing application was designed using use case diagrams, and the database design was designed using class diagrams. In addition, security issues are also significant considering that people meet in this vehicle sharing application, and some bad people may take advantage of it. Therefore user registration and moderation are essential. It is hoped that this vehicle sharing application will reduce congestion in the capital city of Jakarta and become an example in other cities. © 2022 IEEE.

Conventionally, assessing people's personality done by psychology experts requires more time and effort. Hence automatic personality prediction is starting to get noticed by researchers. Nowadays, many people engage themselves in social media platforms, one of which is Twitter. This platform stores actions done in this media which reflect one's personality. This research focuses on improving the performance of personality prediction models based on machine learning algorithms, by augmenting the dataset using Easy Data Augmentation to overcome imbalance dataset, thereafter combining n-grams with POS-tag weighted by TF-IDF. Results show that this method outperforms other machine learning approaches and decreases bias, with a maximum of 72.62% of the best average accuracy and 72.72% best average Fl score using Support Vector Machine classifier. The second-best model is obtained by XGBoost and, lastly, Naive Bayes classifier. Overall, this study shows that data augmentation with the addition of POS-tag feature is evident in improving the performance of personality prediction models. However, larger data is needed. © 2022 IEEE.

Solar Dryer Dome (SDD), an agricultural facility for drying and preserving agricultural products, needs a smart ability to predict the future indoor climate accurately, including indoor temperature and indoor humidity, in order to optimize electricity usage. To overcome these challenges, deep learning has been a widely adopted method. This research aims to forecast the future indoor climate using time series data by implementing a sequence-to-sequence (seq2seq) architecture, which is mostly used in Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. The two proposed seq2seq models, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) seq2seq and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) seq2seq, have proven to be superior to the adapted LSTM and GRU. The results show that the seq2seq GRU model outperforms the adapted GRU baseline model by an average difference of 0.03013 in MAE and the seq2seq LSTM model outperforms the adapted LSTM baseline model by an average difference of 0.00941 in MAE. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first implementation of seq2seq models for indoor climate forecasting on the Room Climate dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

Students 'attendance in class is one important success parameter in face-to-face learning processes. Conventional attendance systems, such as paper-based attendance sheets or identity card systems, require a long time in the manual recapitulation process. Without additional verifications, even computer vision-based methods are prone to fraudulent practices by the students instead of gaining their excitement and attention in a class. To stimulate students' attention in a class, this work designs an intelligent class attendance system, in which facial pattern and smile recognition are implemented by using the latter as an additional task-based verification to reduce the risks of fake attendance. For the face recognition module, this pilot study used FaceNet as a feature extractor combined with SVM for classification, whereas the Haar cascade algorithm is used for recognizing smiles. This face recognition pipeline was implemented as a service installed on minicomputers or Internet of Things (IoT) devices in each classroom and connected to an IP camera. Every recorded attendance will be sent as a notification to a mobile application for students that requires their active participation to confirm it with a smiling self-photo. The proposed pipeline obtained 92.86% accuracy on the test data, and 66.67% accuracy when evaluated in a real-life simulation setting through the implemented system. The lower accuracy in the simulation indicated that further improvements are indispensable, especially since the model obtained 28.57% False Negative Rate. Future studies will need to acquire more data and experiment with more efficient methods of attendance verification. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper aims to build hate speech text classification model by applying a combination of LSTM and FastText. The features of hate speech & non-hate speech, target hate speech, and categories of the hate speech. Dataset of those features taken from previous research by Okky Ibrohim. FastText word embeddings is used for formation of text vectors that will be used as input of the LSTM training model. The evaluation results obtained by getting the level of accuracy using confusion matrix. The accuracy value of text classification in this study is 83.52% on the classification of hate speech, 78.44% on the classification of target labels for hate speech, 82.75% on the classification of the label for category of hate speech. © 2022 IEEE.

People’s perspectives and behaviors altered in a variety of ways during the pandemic period, most notably in areas related to health, environment, and most notably waste management. Many people still prefer to work from home and this in turn leads to a large accumulation of garbage without having any proper means of disposal. As a result, the garbage area will serve as a breeding ground for illness. Garbage is usually composed of a residual waste generated from a product or object that has outlived its useful life, but can still be recycled into a valuable item. On this basis, the solution is to use a waste bank;it is a collection point for sorted garbage. It is claimed that using a waste bank can help in preventing the garbage accumulation. The main purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of the waste bank to end garbage accumulation. The information gathered through a review of the literature and direct interviews with multiple informants. According to the findings of the literature review, waste banks can provide a variety of benefits to users, as well as the community and surrounding environment. The proposed research study's findings show that the changes in community activity patterns contribute to an increase in garbage, and that the community plays an important role in waste control. From the performed research study, it is evident that m any individuals are interested about garbage banks and their benefits based on this presumption. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Digital transformation is about transforming processes, business models, domains, and culture. Studies show that the failure rate of digital transformation is quite high up to 90%. Studies show that the transformational leadership model has a significant impact on digital transformation adoption. This paper identifies the positive and negative attributes of transformational leadership including the components that support and are affected for successful adoption of digital transformation. Furthermore, the paper combines several findings related to the attributes and components in the form of a conceptual framework. Social media communications offer valuable feedback to firms about their products. Twitter users share their opinions about e-commerce products on social networking sites. This paper reports a study in sentiment classification for Indonesian drug products for automatically classifying Twitter data as expressing positive or negative sentiments or opinions. The study investigates the effectiveness of using a Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Na rve Bayes, and Logistic Regression, along with the term frequency-inverse document frequency used to classify 531 tweets into recommended (positive sentiment) and not recommended (negative sentiment). Among all traditional machine learning models, the highest average accuracy value is 88.6 in the RF model and the lowest average accuracy value is 80.2 when using the LR model. Judging from the average accuracy obtained, the DT and RF model used has a considerable performance © 2022 IEEE.

Accurate detection of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) ripeness in complex plantation environments is challenging due to occlusion, varying lighting, intricate visual features, and limited computational resources of mobile devices. To address this, a resource-efficient, real-time detection system was developed using an optimized YOLOv8n model. The model integrates MobileOne modules and Cross-Fusion blocks to enhance efficiency without compromising accuracy. Specifically, Conv and C2f modules were replaced with MobileOne modules, reducing parameters by 85% and 81%, respectively. Cross-Fusion improved feature fusion, and its combination with MobileOne (CF-MobileOne) achieved a 51% reduction in parameters while maintaining performance. The dataset comprised images from videos captured in plantations, annotated into five maturity stages: flower, unripe, underripe, ripe, and abnormal, and underwent augmentation with class balancing through manual undersampling. The model outperformed baseline YOLOv8 variants and heavier models like YOLOv9c and Faster R-CNN, achieving an mAP50 of 0.795 and an inference speed of 140.57 FPS. Hyperparameter tuning with a batch size of 64, SGD optimizer, and a learning rate of 0.01 yielded optimal results. Despite challenges in detecting certain classes due to visual similarities and environmental variations, the system effectively enhances productivity and efficiency in precision agriculture for the palm oil industry. © 2024, The Authors. News gives new insight and information from all over the world. News has many categories, such as politic, economy, science, and other common news categories. Every news will have their own category based on its content. The classification of news is usually done manually by inputting the category during the news posting. Some of the categories may be inputted incorrectly. The news classifier can be the solution for problem, but the news classifications out there are usually based on the news content. The classifier will receive the word vector inputs that are taken from the news content and try to classify it into one of certain categories. Unfortunately, news contents can be longer and harder to be processed rather than processing the news headline. The news headline is shorter and packs a decent information for the classifier to find out what category it is. Besides the news headline usage, the classifier also needs to be chosen correctly. In this paper, the SVC model will be tested using the news headline data to classify the news and compare with several other models, such as Linear Regression, Multinomial Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. The common variables to be compared are the accuracy, recall, and precision to evaluate the SVC model. © 2022 IEEE.
