Courier services are a means of transport that can be used to deliver orders to customers or claim orders from them, and customers can use technology from the courier service like track order to track their order. The use of courier service nowadays is common that every day, people use courier service as their daily means of transport for delivering goods. However, in situations like pandemic, the courier services need to put more effort into their services, so that customers can use courier services with trust. The courier service must be more careful to deliver customer orders or send orders to customers. For this research methodology, the data collection technique using Google Forms and collecting data directly from people about their opinion toward the research have been employed. The result of the data collecting technique is depicted as the usage of the courier service during COVID-19 pandemic starting from March 2020. The results vary every month because not everyone uses the courier service every day. Moreover, the conclusion on why the months starting from March to June do not show high usage of courier service is that the pandemic has not been that worse than the later months, and so, people were going out to deliver or to do activities like shopping or buying groceries on their own. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze what has been done by previous studies in knowing the problems faced by SMEs today and how the influence of Industry 4.0 technology in dealing with problems in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), so that they become developed and can maintain their business continuity. Most studies show that SMEs have considerable barriers when trying to use the potential of Industry 4.0 to improve the competitiveness and long-term sustain ability of their business. This systematic literature review uses the Kitchenham technique to identify SME problems and the role of Industry 4.0 technologies in SMEs in various industrialized and developing countries. Through several databases including: IEEE, science Direct, Web of science, Taylor & Francis, Emerald and Springer between 2019 - 2023 were used to find relevant research articles in this study. The research findings offer valuable perspectives on the strategies, obstacles and prospects that SMEs in different countries face in adjusting to Industry 4.0. The contribution of academics in this research is to provide solutions by designing more robust approaches to promote the business sustainability of SMEs and their role in driving economic progress in their countries.

Exploring EfficientNet Variants for Image Encoding in Auxiliary Signal Guided Knowledge Encoder-Decoder Framework

The growing number of medical images has led to radiologist burnout, which seriously impacts the radiologist's performance. To address the previously mentioned issue, an Auxiliary Signal Guided Knowledge (ASGK) multimodal encoder-decoder framework was designed to automatically generate the medical report based on the proposed medical graph and natural language decoder. It utilizes DenseNet-121 as the image encoder. With DenseNet-121 lack of computational and memory efficiency, this study aims to explore the potential of EfficientNetB0 to EfficientNetB4 as an ASGK image encoder substitute. The framework is trained with IU X-Ray dataset for 30 epochs, with Adam optimizer, a learning rate of 0.01 with 0.8 decay rate, binary cross entropy loss for the medical tags, and cross-entropy loss for the generated medical captions. During the framework training process with each image encoder, the parameter that achieves the highest CIDEr score on the validation set is considered the best image encoder parameter and will be used on the test set. On the test set, EfficientNetB3 as an ASGK image encoder has been shown to increase the CIDEr score to 0.35, a significant increase from the 0.28 CIDEr score obtained by the ASGK using DenseNet-121. This score is only a 1% decrease from the best validation score. It suggests that not only EfficientNetB3 increases the framework's performance, it is also less prone to overfitting. This study has demonstrated that EfficientNetB3 is a potential image encoder substitute for DenseNet-121 in the ASGK framework.

Due to the disparity in the levels of difficulty presented by the several tasks, doing domain adaptation in an adversarial way may result in an imbalanced learning process. In the MNIST dataset, this phenomenon also manifests itself in the form of domain adaptation for color-shifted distribution. In this particular situation, the domain classifier has a higher tendency to fit more quickly, but the category classifier fits quite poorly in the learning process. In order to address this problem, a new hyper-parameter has been added to the loss function in order to strike a compromise between the learning speed of the domain and the categorical classifier. By using this technique, the categorical classifier may better match the data while still maintaining the same level of performance as the domain classifier. In order to determine whether or not making use of this hyper-parameter is useful, the phenomena in question is examined using three distinct color-shifted settings. Following the evaluations, it was discovered that the newly introduced hyper-parameter is capable of coping with imbalanced learning while simultaneously engaging in domain adaptation. © 2023 IEEE.

The expansion of deep learning techniques, as well as the availability of large audio/sound datasets, have fueled tremendous breakthroughs in audio/sound classification during the last several years. The transfer learning approach has emerged as one of the primary approaches for improving the accuracy and durability of classification systems. This study conducts a comprehensive comparative analysis to determine the effectiveness and performance of this method in environment sound classification. This current investigation focuses on environmental sound classification using VGGish and YAMNet pre-trained models with the ESC-50 and BDLib2 datasets. In the ESC-50 dataset, VGGish improves accuracy to 372.22%, while YAMNet improves accuracy to 383.33% when compared to baseline models. Similarly, in the BDLib2 dataset, accuracy increases significantly to 221.43% with VGGish and 246.43% with YAMNet. Transfer learning exhibits remarkable effectiveness in enhancing model performance, with significant accuracy boosts observed in both datasets. YAMNet, designed specifically for sound classification tasks, surpasses VGGish in improving environmental sound classification performance, potentially due to its architecture’s adaptability and diverse training on environmental sounds.

Applications designed utilizing Microservices Architecture (MSA) provide the desirable trait of good maintainability. To ensure optimal maintainability, it is important to provide services that are suitable and adhere to prescribed rules. Multiple aspects must be taken into account while designing services to ensure optimal maintainability. The objective of this study is to examine the elements that impact the capacity to sustain and improve maintainability in service design, ultimately resulting in an application that possesses strong maintainability. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) will be utilized to identify variables and strategies for their enhancement, by examining pertinent publications on the subject. After examining 45 publications, the study discovered 8 elements and 14 solutions that can enhance the highlighted parameters throughout the services design process. The outcomes of this systematic literature review (SLR) are anticipated to give valuable insights to application developers, empowering them to generate service designs that exhibit commendable maintainability for the developed applications.

Domain data can be shifted in any direction so it will be shared in different distributions to its original domain. This could be a problem since the model was trained with different distributions. It is found that adversarial domain adaptation using domain adversarial neural networks (DANN) can help to solve this problem on some scale. DANN can minimize the discrepancy between source and target data so the model can work well in both domains. The experiment is done by utilizing MNIST dataset that shifted into some conditions. In a condition when the shifting of distribution is too far, DANN is struggling to maintain the knowledge extracted from source data which leads to underperformance in the source and target domain. In contrast, when the shifting is closer, DANN can easily fit the model so it can perform well in both domains. It proves DANN is one of the good approaches to performing domain adaptation in small discrepancies. © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to human-like intelligence exhibited by computers, robots, or other machines. In popular use, artificial intelligence refers to the ability of a computer or machine to mimic the ability of the human mind to learn from examples and experiences, recognize objects, understand and respond to language, make decisions, solve problems, and combine these and other abilities to perform functions that humans might perform. Artificial intelligence requires experience and data to smarten up the technology. The most important things in making artificial intelligence are learning, reasoning, and self-correction. At the learning stage, AI gives machines the ability to learn tasks without requiring a defined programming language. Then, the reasoning stage is the stage where the reason AI is applied in a technology. The self-correction stage is the stage where the AI is refining itself from and learning from experience in order to minimize errors or problems that exist. Then, this matter is concerned with the parking lot to be discussed. Parking can be interpreted as public facilities available in agencies or offices that serve to store vehicles. Vehicles entering the parking area become tens or even thousands, because it requires a parking system and management area. Such arrangements are capable of parking procedures and even other support systems such as adequate parking facilities and infrastructure, and another function is to create and develop parking systems in general to provide safety and comfort. The methodology obtained from this problem is checking the research model to check and find out the comparison of vehicle user’s Parking System Security between cars or motorcycles, as well as the usual parking lots visited. This paper presents an empiric results of aspectbased sentiment analysis in education to extract and classify opinions, sentiments, evaluations, attitudes, and emotions from newly graduates of an online learning program. As part of continuous education monitoring system, the sentiment analysis process produces valuable input to leverage service quality of online learning program. In this study, the aspect-based sentiment analysis is implemented to analyze a set of feedbacks from 162 newly graduate from binus Online program majoring in Accounting, Management, Information System, and computer science. The important qualitative results of this study are confirmation that the main benefits of online learning from student perspective are mainly: the knowledge they gained from the program, learning guidance, reliable student team to work on thesis, quality of education support system, and learning happiness. © 2022 IEEE.
