This study focuses on the development of Indonesian Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) using XLSR-53 pre-trained model. The use of this XLSR-53 pre-trained model is to significantly reduce the amount of training data in non-English languages required to achieve competitive WER. The total amount of data used in this study is 26 hours: (1) TITML-IDN 14,5 hours;(2) Magic Data 3,5 hours;and (3) Common Voice 8 hours. With a WER of 22 %, the model built in this study can compete with similar models using the Common Voice dataset split test. WER can be decreased by around 10% using a language model, resulting in a WER of 12 %. Thus, the results of this study have succeeded in perfecting previous research in contributing to the creation of a better Indonesian ASR with a smaller amount of data. © 2022, The Authors. The ability of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to accurately discriminate between normal and tumorous brain tissues has been promising. The review focuses on the different CNN models, pre-processing methods, data augmentation, and Transfer Learning (TL) strategies used in this research. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) collected the data from Google Scholar. The results of this study indicate that open-source datasets from Kaggle and Brain MRI Images for Brain Tumor Detection are the most used datasets. However, limited data and imbalanced class problems remain common challenges across various datasets. To overcome those challenges, using a larger dataset, oversampling, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), federated learning, and Self-Supervised Learning (SSL) to handle the imbalance are the potential solution. Additionally, popular CNN architectures for brain tumor classification extensively use pre-trained models such as VGG16, VGG19, DenseNet121, DenseNet201, GoogleNet, ResNet-50, and Inception-v3. TL strategies are preferred, allowing CNNs to leverage knowledge from large datasets, improving generalization even with limited labeled data.

Several studies suggest that sleep quality is associated with physical activities. Moreover, deep sleep time can be used to determine the sleep quality of an individual. In this work, we aim to find the association between physical activities and deep sleep time by modeling the time series data such as heart rate and a number of steps captured from a commercial wearable device. Our previous study demonstrates that deep learning-based time series modeling is well suited for our problem since the temporal patterns in the two physical parameters need to be captured to obtain more accurate results. We first preprocess our series data to have a time-step size of 10 minutes. To improve our previous effort in this modeling, we compare four different variants of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-based models, ranging from single input to dual input models. Our result shows that the simple stacked LSTM model performs better for our data because the remaining models suffer from overfitting due to a larger number of the trained parameters.

Understanding the mechanistic interpretability of mutation effects in a protein can help predict the clinical implications of the genetic variants. Hence, computational variant effect predictions that involve protein structural features of the protein mutations might be suitable in this case. In this work, we focus on BRCT domains of BRCA1 gene that is widely studied in breast cancer studies. We retrieved 88 selected missense variants found in BRCT domains annotated in both ClinVar and gnomAD databases. To computationally characterize the pathogenic property of the mutations we used two types of features extracted from protein structures: a change in free Gibbs energy and a set of features derived from molecular dynamics simulations of each mutant. Using a dimensional reduction and Gaussian mixture model (GMM)-based clustering we demonstrate that the variants are segregated into two regions that may correspond to their pathogenic status. This method can be a potential computational pipeline for providing the preliminary mechanistic interpretation of mutation effects in terms of their thermodynamic and structural features. © 2023 IEEE.

A subscription movie streaming service from the United States, Netflix, has been present in Indonesia since 2016 and provides a wide variety of films without showing any single advertisements that can be viewed from anywhere, as long as there is access to the internet. Despite these advantages, many users have complained through the Google Play Store's comments column. Some of the common complaints include frequent buffering and connectivity issues, dissatisfaction with the limited selection of Indonesian movies, lack of subtitles for specific languages, or pricing concerns have also been raised. In this study developed two combined scenario methods using the InSet and SentiStrength_id dictionary to obtain better performance and compare them against independent InSet and SentiStrength_id. This study collected users' comments for the Netflix app in the Google Play Store as a dataset using web scraping techniques through the Google Collaboration tool. The dataset contains 3250 rows spanning the period from January 22, 2024, through June 6, 2024. To ensure proper processing of the text, data cleaning, lowercasing, normalization, tokenization, stemming, and stopwords removal are conducted. The results show that most user opinions are negative. The InSet dictionary has an accuracy of 92%, SentiStrength_id 78%, Combined scenario 1 is 87%, and scenario 2 reaches the highest among others which is 92.52%.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a prevalent mental disorder, affecting a significant number of individuals, with estimates reaching 300 million cases worldwide. Currently, the diagnosis of this condition relies heavily on subjective assessments based on the experience of medical professionals. Therefore, researchers have turned to deep learning models to explore the detection of depression. The objective of this review is to gather information on detecting depression based on facial expressions in videos using deep learning techniques. Overall, this research found that RNN models achieved 7.22 MAE for AVEC2014. LSTM models produced 4.83 MAE for DAIC-WOZ, while GRU models achieved an accuracy of 89.77% for DAIC-WOZ. Features like Facial Action Units (FAU), eye gaze, and landmarks show great potential and need to be further analyzed to improve results. Analysis can include applying feature engineering techniques. Aggregation methods, such as mean calculation, are recommended as effective approaches for data processing. This Systematic Literature Review found that facial expressions do have relevant patterns related to MDD.

This systematic literature review explores the application of transformer models in early detection of human depression, encompassing text, audio, and video data modalities. Transformer architectures, notably BERT for text, have proven adept at capturing crucial contextual and linguistic patterns associated with depression. For audio and video data, hybrid approaches that combine transformer models with other architectures are prevalent. Key features considered include eye gaze, head pose, facial muscle movements, and audio characteristics such as MFCC and Log-mel Spectrogram, along with text embeddings. Performance comparisons underscore the superiority of text-based data in consistently delivering the most promising results, followed by audio and video modalities when utilizing transformer models. The fusion of multiple modalities emerges as an effective strategy for enhancing predictive accuracy, with the amalgamation of audio, video, and text data yielding the most precise outcomes. However, it is noteworthy that unimodal approaches also exhibit potential, with text data exhibiting superior performance over audio and video data. Nevertheless, several challenges persist in this research domain, including imbalanced datasets, the limited availability of comprehensive and diverse samples, and the inherent complexities in interpreting visual cues. Addressing these challenges remains imperative for the continued advancement of depression detection using transformer-based models across various modalities.

Technology has evolved a lot in the last few years. E-toll becomes the only payment method available for highway roads, especially in Indonesia. This system of payment is expected to enhance the efficiency of payment from using the previous payment method. However, there are still some weaknesses addressed by the implementation of e-toll. It still takes time because the car's owner should tap the card first, and the sequence time between each person to tap is different. Thus, the queue results still long, and the traffic congestion on the highway road is not fully solved. This paper aims to address a better solution by adding a more efficient option of payment. So, traffic congestion is reduced and leads to better operation in toll gates. This research work has proposed a mobile application and route prediction model based on the Dijkstra Algorithm, where the price will be decided on which type of car will be passed by the gate, and the algorithm predicts the best possible routes based on the number of cars on the highway. Payment is conducted on the application using the balance from the application. This application eliminates time consumed during toll payment at any toll gate. © 2021 IEEE.

Agriculture has a lot of relations with SDG from United Nations especially in end hungers and sustainable agriculture. One of factor important in agriculture is weather. Weather prediction is very important in agriculture. Weather greatly influences agricultural yields and the types of crops to be planted. Weather predictions, especially temperature and humidity, can be done using time series data analysis. Current developments in deep learning enable more accurate predictions of temperature and humidity based on time series dataset. Some deep learning models can be used to predict data based on training using time series data. The deep programming models used include Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The Transformer deep learning model, which was first introduced in 2017, is a sequence-to-sequence model which is very suitable for predicting time series data. This paper will explain temperature and humidity prediction using the Transformer deep learning model. Experimental results show that the Transformer model can predict temperature and humidity based on training results using a time series dataset. The accuracy obtained by the Transformer deep learning model is better compared to the LSTM deep learning model as indicated by lower MAE, MSE and RMSE values compared to the LSTM model. © 2024 The Authors.

Location Prediction Using Named Entity Recognition for Indonesia Natural Disasters in Data Twitter

Indonesia is in an area prone to natural disasters, there were 4,650 natural disasters that occurred in 2020. However, the community does not have spatial data regarding the location of the disasters that occurred. The purpose of this study is to provide the location of natural disasters that are poured into maps to the public by utilizing Twitter data which has a fast distribution with the fifth most users in the world. This study proposes a system for geolocation of types of natural disasters obtained from Twitter, which are classified into eight classes of natural disasters using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. Then the Twitter text is extracted to find the location in the Twitter text using Named Entity Recognition (NER). NER uses six special classes based on the regional level in Indonesia with an accuracy rate of 85.65%. The result of geolocation using ArcGIS maps is 87,5%. It is hoped that with this research, people will get spatial data to see the points of natural disasters that occur using maps. So, the public can anticipate future disasters, and the authorities can send aid to the location. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
