Gamification nowadays is being one of techniques that can increase motivation and encourage the involvement of users, particularly in education domain that requires teaching and learning activities to be more fun and interesting. This paper surveys some analysis of gamification models. MDA framework is used to identify surveyed papers by breaking them down into three categories: mechanics, dynamics and aesthetics. Findings from the survey show there are many gamification models in education domain. However, there are some very representative gamification models could be used as a method to increase motivation, achievement and engagement in learning activities. By knowing the latest gamification models in education domain stated in this paper, it could help gamification practitioners to make new strategies in learning activities to increase students' motivation, achievement and involvement. We also suggest some gamification strategies, which combine several mechanics in such a way to create dynamics that results in all types of aesthetics outputs. © 2018 The Authors. Our study discusses the application of the perspective grid concept as the basis for the process of transforming the 2D coordinates of the image into 3D coordinates in real space for estimating the location of objects in a single image scene. In several other studies in the field of robotics, AR use methods and media in the form of a chessboard box as a reference for camera calibration and location estimation. However, it does not show accurate results for the size of objects in the room. We saw the potential areas of Alberti's perspective grid, which is often used as a reference in making sketches for the arts and various engineering fields so that they are visually precise with reality. Our study uses 6 reference points in a room arrangement with a floor grid pattern as a reference for the formation of a perspective grid. Based on the triangle comparison approach to determine the x-ordinate, the average error is 0.2193. And through 3 interpolation approaches to get the most accurate results with the Lagrange and Newton methods on the 6th order with the average difference between the actual and predicted points of 1.5 cm from the y-direction distance of the camera from 2 meters to 6.80 meters. © 2022 IEEE.

The use of instant messaging (IM) application is very communal among smartphone users, as it delivers ease in interaction and communication. The speed at which technologies, growth, and expansion of networks infrastructure for high-speed data networks (e.g. wifi, 4G, etc.) are changing and the high number of IM applications are available. IM application usage is significantly escalating, also for doing illegitimate purposes, particularly to organize and coordinate criminal acts. They are practically exploited by the criminality groups involved when they target and interact with the victims, or try to run away from criminal occurrences. By systematically conducting a review to understand and to investigate IM applications topic coming from a number of scientific sources (e.g. manuscripts, metadata, files, etc.), a broader picture and opportunity to regain the valuable evidence in the investigation is academically provided. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper describes the design of smart village that can be describe as an indicator for the smart village in Indonesia, where the Indonesian population is now more than 250 million peoples. with several islands as much as 17, 504 islands, consisting of 53.3% were in urban areas, the rest spread in rural areas, but it will turn around if there is no solution currently to address the disparity in the village in terms of infrastructure and technology. One of the concepts can be applied to overcome these problems is "Smart Village". Conducting a study of four villages on the island of Java in Indonesia, which was awarded the village of Information Technology, the study aims to research the indicators that make the village as the village of Information Technology. By using the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture analysis, the result of study are the components that exist in the ICT village winners and what the other components needs to complement the design of smart village which can be a reference in Indonesia in future. © 2021 IEEE.

The Adoption of the People Analytics process, especially in higher education, is highly complex and should be understood by scholars. We use seven stages of soft systems methodology to contribute to a deeper understanding of The Adoption of the People Analytics process, especially in higher education as a policy issue. The research was done in one of Indonesia's most prominent private universities. The method used was an exploratory study. In-depth interviews were done to gather data. The main interviewees were all stakeholders (H.R. Director, Business Incubator Director, Research Manager, and more) related to the process. The outcomes showed the actors involved and the obstacles experienced by the actors in transforming the existing condition into the analytics one. The paper proposed a people analytics adoption model in higher education using the soft system approach. The research limitation was due to the limited research object used, so broader research using this approach is urgent to understand the model. © 2022 IEEE.

As a company which relates its customer service, a software company (this case is PT Boon Software) is induced to give the good service to its customer. The existing information technology (IT) system service is made by patchwork. It brings some problems in service catalog, problem managment, change management, and service level agreement (SLA). The purpose of this research is to implement helpdesk system to software company with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework as a standard reference to solve various problem related information technology service on a company. This research starts by investigation all stakeholders of the company with some questionnares. Implementation ITIL is strated by finding the gap between the current condition and the standard base line in ITIL. After implementation IT service using ITIL, the stakeholders are asked the same questionnares. The result shows that there is significant different before and after implementing system service using ITIL. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study expects to systemically review the current investigations on the relationship of people analytics adoption to support higher education's competitive advantage. Through a systematic literature review, with the help of Publish or Perish v8 Software, the assessment chose 19 papers, then played out a descriptive analysis of the writing to address the accompanying exploration questions: 1) what people analytics implies and its significance, and 2) what can People Analytics give to higher education competitive advantage? Researchers did a far-reaching writing audit investigation to accomplish the referenced targets of the paper. Given the examination, the adoption of people analytics to support higher education competitive advantage centers around instructing and learning investigation. The level of analytics is used primarily in the descriptive and diagnostics area. The predictive and prescriptive analytics were not much discussed. The empirical papers of this people analytics range from subject matters to data storage in the library business unit. The competitive advantages were mainly discussed regarding students' specific academic prescription to career paths in higher education. © 2022 IEEE.

Getting the update news fast is important for journalist. This study uses Twitter data which is fast and rich information for get the update news and useful for journalist. This study starts from collecting data from Twitter, then predicting the category of tweet using convolution neural network (CNN) algorithm. With convolution neural network data, Twitter can categorize 10 news categories that mention news to official Twitter media on Twitter social media. Scenario data in predicting news by dividing the data based on 70% training, 15% validation, and 15% testing. Then the data is converted into vector form where the convolution neural network predicts the data in vector form. The results show that, the convolution neural network is able to conduct the good performance based on the values of accuracy, precision, recall and f1 score. It also compares by the other methods. © 2022 IEEE.

The rise of mobile application is inevitable. Every year, the number of mobile application is increased. It is important for mobile application project owners to calculate the required resources before building a mobile application. In software metric, Use Case Points method is able to count software size of mobile application based on their functionality. This method utilizes use case diagram as their computation factors in the estimation process. Moreover, two other complexity factors are also considered in this method, which are: Technical Complexity Factor and Environment Factor. In this paper, we present software size calculation of QuestDone Mobile Application using 7 steps use case points method. QuestDone has been implemented, but we do not know its software size (i.e. how big the software, how much it cost, how many people is needed). As the result from use case points method, the Use Case Points value of QuestDone is 126.88 with Effort Estimation equal to 889 hours. The software size estimation process of QuestDone Mobile Application detailed in this paper can give an insight to project owners to count software size of other similar projects. © 2017 IEEE.

This research aims to design and implement a home security system with the capability for human detection. The traditional home security system, i.e. closed circuit television (CCTV) can only capture and record the video without able to give warning feedback if there is any suspicious object. Therefore, an additional object detection and warning method is required if there is an intruder. The proposed design is implemented using Raspberry Pi 3 and Arduino, which are connected by USB cable. The PIR sensor is installed on the Arduino and the webcam is mounted on Raspberry Pi 3. The Raspberry Pi 3 is used to process inputs from received sensors and process images for human detection. The PIR sensor detects the movement around the sensor to activate the webcam to capture a picture. Then, the object recognition is performed using histogram of gradient (HoG) and support vector machine (SVM) to detect the suspicious object. If the suspicious object is detected, then alarm is activated to warn the house owner about the existence of intruder. The evaluation results show that it takes in average 2 seconds for proposed system to detect the intruder. It also shows that the system can successfully detects the intruder with accuracy of 89%. © 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
