Precise predictions of indoor climate conditions are required in the implementation of Smart Solar Dryer Dome (SDD). Trend development of prediction models is discussed in this review from 15 selected research papers (2018-2022) on indoor climate prediction which was obtained from research paper databases The output shows that the most used model for predicting indoor climate is Artificial Neural Network (ANN), especially Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) such as LSTM and GRU. However, there are some potential methods such as Transformer, Combined Support Vector Machines (SVM)-Deep Learning, and sequence-to-sequence which could outperform other commonly used models. Based on findings various opportunities exist to improve the precision of indoor climate prediction, which can bring power consumption efficiency and others benefit to Smart SDD users. Such studies may further be explored to produce more accurate machine learning models. © 2022 IEEE.

A number of attempts have already been implemented formally to solve road traffic congestion. However, the objective strategy type of road traffic engineering could not be proven truly. Try and error is one inefficient way in road traffic engineering to degrade the level of congestion. The study was conducted to propose a new service-oriented model (SOM) that combines fuzzy-logic and water flow algorithm methods (called FWFA). The method combination was operated as the main method to construct the decision model for selecting the objective strategy in road traffic engineering. Also, service-oriented architecture (SOA) is realized to implement such a constructed model practically. The Model can suggest the most optimal strategy decision in road traffic engineering. Here, a main traffic road of Juanda in area Ciputat, Tangerang Selatan, province Banten, Indonesia;was selected as a research object in this study. The constructed SOM for road traffic engineering was structurally delivered in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

The projected increase in PayLater utilization reaches up to five million people by 2025. To optimize the yearly profit from their PayLater service, fintech companies must examine all possible risks before a unanimous decision is taken. Therefore, we proposed a unified decision framework derived from decision theory and the Monte Carlo simulation technique. Two schemes were coined: (1) a decision-making scheme, and (2) a risk simulation scheme. Throughout experiments, the framework was able to estimate several alternative decisions and their impacts, analyze the causes of failure and delays in the development of the PayLater service, and execute Monte Carlo simulations in up to 10,000 trials. Outputs of this study will benefit decision-makers in the fintech initiative before launching their PayLater products. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Dengue fever is mainly caused by female mosquitoes from the genus Aedes. It predominantly occurs in equatorial to sub-tropical regions. The weather factors play a significant role in the mosquito life cycle, so a study on the impact of climate parameters on dengue incidence is required. This study aimed to understand the statistical association between the annual fluctuation of dengue cases with climate factors in Indonesia. Climatic data, annual rainfall, and annual mean ambient temperature of Indonesia were obtained from *** from 2010 to 2020, while the data on the annual incidence of dengue fever in Indonesia were collected from the Indonesian Health Profile by the Ministry of Health of Indonesia from 2010 to 2020. The association between climatic factors with dengue cases was calculated with Spearman statistical test after the data was indicated as not normally distributed. In addition, we performed Poisson regression analysis to examine how the changes in climatic parameters affect the dengue cases. The rain precipitation was insignificantly correlated with the dengue incidence in Indonesia during the study time. In contrast, the ambient temperature statistically showed a strong association with the dengue cases. The association between climatic factors and the number of dengue cases suggests that the model would likely be prospectively applied to the dengue early warning system as a nationwide intervention to reduce the epidemic impact in Indonesia. © 2022 IEEE.

This study evaluates the performance of the REAL-ESRGAN [1] model on images with varying levels of degradation using the DIV2K dataset [2], such as the Wild, the Mild, the Difficult, and the x8 subsets. REAL-ESRGAN was created to solve super-resolution problems and aims to produce high-resolution images from low-resolution images. Experiments were conducted at scales of x2 and x4, and performance was measured using Full-Reference metrics (LPIPS, PSNR, SSIM) and No-Reference metrics (NIQE, MANIQA, CLIPIQA, and PI). The Results were good, especially with the x2 scale;it has higher PSNR and SSIM scores, lower LPIPS and NIQE values, and enhanced visual and perceptual quality. The model faced more significant challenges with the wild and the difficult datasets because they have more complex degradations and compression artifacts;it can be seen with unstable results of Full-Reference and No-Reference metrics. On the contrary, the Mild and x8 datasets yielded better results in both metrics;not only that, even the computational cost for Mild and x8 outperforms the rest of the dataset. This study shows the strengths and limitations of REAL-ESRGAN in handling different levels of image degradation. For future research, the model needs enhancement to tackle the degradation format of the wild and the difficult dataset. It would be good if the REAL-ESRGAN improvement could also maintain the computational cost. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the health problems that require special attention is diabetes, besides the growth of this disease infection is increasing in various circles ranging from children, adults, men, women and the elderly. So to detect diabetes at an early stage, machine learning algorithms are the right choice to help detect indications of diabetes. This paper presents experimental results related to the exploration of the use of a Super Vector Machine (SVM) for data classification of Diabetes. The model used in this experiment is the Binary Classification Model. Based on the test results, the highest accuracy is obtained by using a total of 700 lines of data, which is 75,7143%. The Best estimated feasible point in Box Constraint is 272.29 with a KernelScale area of 72.627. © 2021 IEEE

Making socio-economic decisions is critical as they profoundly impact communities. It is imperative to approach these decisions with academic rigour and objectivity to effectively address prevalent community-wide issues. One such challenge often encountered by communities is socio-economic inequality. This study attempts to tackle this challenge by creating a decision model to assess socio-economic inequality in a region. The research was performed via four crucial stages, leading to the creation of a fuzzy decision model based on the Williamson Index (WI) method. This carefully developed model was designed and constructed using an object-oriented approach. The simulation results indicated that the integrated inequality index value for Sawah, an urban village in Ciputat, Indonesia, is 0.65. This em-pirical result provides valuable insights, enabling policymakers and stakeholders (as decision-makers) to design targeted policies and programs to reduce inequality and enhance community prosperity. © 2024 IEEE.

The box office (BO) income had significantly declined up to 80% in 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic emerged. To minimize further financial risks, multiplex (multiple cinema complexes) owners need to analyze their potential income for each movie, each week. Therefore, we developed a proper data mining strategy that allows multiplex owners to analyze and discover insights on how successfully produced movies could be. The methodology comprises (1) data loading and exploration, (2) data cleaning, (3) data selection, integration, and transformation using Pentaho, (4) data mining in which the results were stored in the MySQL database, and (5) pattern evaluation and presentation using Qlik Sense as the Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard. Based on our data mining methodology, we revealed that drama, comedy, action, and thriller are favorite genres. We also found that DreamWorks Animation and Pixar Animation Studios are both the most popular production houses, even Apatow Productions and Escape Artists still have the biggest revenue on average. © 2022 The Authors. The ability to differentiate various products in the retail store plays an essential role to provide effectiveness to customers and reduce or even eliminate long queues. However, traditional machine learning algorithms are incapable of recognizing many subordinate categories in various retail product. This paper aims to recognize the retail product recognition algorithm based on the YOLOv7 model in terms of intra-class variations, with the sub-categories of brand and size. We used two schemes of the dataset to compare recognition performance between them. Firstly, the YOLOv7 is applied in the two schemes of the dataset that is annotated with the subordinate category to detect the brand as meta category. Secondly, the proposed method is applied by adding the object size classification into the YOLOv7 model where the square area of the bounding box was calculated to classify the product according to size. Confidence score and square area are used to verify the object and to obtain the product size, which represents sub-category of the product. The experimental results show that our proposed method achieves higher recall compared to baseline object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Reduced alertness because of fatigue or drowsiness accounts for a major cause of road accidents globally. To minimize the likelihood of alertness reduction-related crashes, a video-based detection emerges as a non-intrusive method and can offer high accuracy for the countermeasure development. Many Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques have been developed to aid in video analysis for fatigue detection. However, the issues in AI-based video analysis for fatigue countermeasure development are rarely discussed. This paper reviews current video-based countermeasure development in the literature and highlights some reliability issues of AI-based fatigue countermeasure development in terms of underlying dataset, labelling method, and alertness level classification. The result serves as insights and consideration to academics and industrialists in developing a high reliable AI-based video analysis for driver fatigue countermeasure. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
