Modeling and Measurement of 3D Solenoid Inductor Based on Through-Silicon Vias

Through-silicon via(TSV) provides vertical interconnectivity among the stacked dies in three-dimensional integrated circuits(3D ICs) and is a promising option to minimize 3D solenoid inductors for on-chip radio-frequency applications. In this paper, a rigorous analytical inductance model of 3D solenoid inductor is proposed based on the concept of loop and partial inductance. And a series of 3D samples are fabricated on 12-in high-resistivity silicon wafer using low-cost standard CMOS-compatible process. The results of the proposed model match very well with those obtained by simulation and measurement. With this model, the inductance can be estimated accurately and efficiently over a wide range of inductor windings, TSV height, space, and pitch.

Cross-lingual dubbing of lecture videos requires the transcription of the original audio, correction and removal of disfluencies, domain term discovery, text-to-text translation into the target language, text-to-speech synthesis followed by isochronous lipsyncing to the original video. This task becomes challenging when the source and target languages belong to different language families, resulting in differences in generated audio duration. This is further compounded by the original speaker's rhythm, especially for extempore speech. This paper describes the challenges in regenerating English lecture videos in Indian languages semi-automatically. A prototype is developed for dubbing lectures into Indian languages. SoftPatch+: Fully unsupervised anomaly classification and segmentation

Although mainstream unsupervised anomaly detection (AD) (including image-level classification and pixel-level segmentation) algorithms perform well in academic datasets, their performance is limited in practical application due to the ideal experimental setting of clean training data. Training with noisy data is an inevitable problem in real-world anomaly detection but is seldom discussed. This paper is the first to consider fully unsupervised industrial anomaly detection (i.e., unsupervised AD with noisy data). To solve this problem, we proposed memory-based unsupervised AD methods, SoftPatch and SoftPatch+, which efficiently denoise the data at the patch level. Noise discriminators are utilized to generate outlier scores for patch-level noise elimination before coreset construction. The scores are then stored in the memory bank to soften the anomaly detection boundary. Compared with existing methods, SoftPatch maintains a strong modeling ability of normal data and alleviates the overconfidence problem in coreset, and SoftPatch+ has more robust performance which is particularly useful in real-world industrial inspection scenarios with high levels of noise (from 10% to 40%). Comprehensive experiments conducted in diverse noise scenarios demonstrate that both SoftPatch and SoftPatch+ outperform the state-of-the-art AD methods on the MVTecAD, ViSA, and BTAD benchmarks. Furthermore, the performance of SoftPatch and SoftPatch+ is comparable to that of the noise-free methods in conventional unsupervised AD setting. Classification of Phishing Email Using Word Embedding and Machine Learning Techniques

Email phishing is a cyber-attack, bringing substantial financial damage to corporate and commercial organizations. A phishing email is a special type of spamming, used to trick the user to disclose personal information to access his digital assets. Phishing attack is generally triggered by emailing links to spoofed websites that collect sensitive information. The APWG survey suggests that the existing countermeasures remain ineffective and insufficient for detecting phishing attacks. Hence there is a need for an efficient mechanism to detect phishing emails to provide better security against such attacks to the common user. The existing open-source data sets are limited in diversity, hence they do not capture the real picture of the attack. Hence there is a need for real-time input data set to design accurate email anti-phishing solutions. In the current work, it has been created a real-time in-house corpus of phishing and legitimate emails and proposed efficient techniques to detect phishing emails using a word embedding and machine learning algorithms. The proposed system uses only four email header-based heuristics for the classification of emails. The proposed word embedding cum machine learning framework comprises six word embedding techniques with five machine learning classifiers to evaluate the best performing combination. Among all six combinations, Random Forest consistently performed the best with FastText (CBOW) by achieving an accuracy of 99.50% with a false positive rate of 0.053%, TF-IDF achieved an accuracy of 99.39% with a false positive rate of 0.4% and Count Vectorizer achieved an accuracy of 99.18% with a false positive rate of 0.98% respectively for three datasets used. © 2022 River Publishers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is growing more popular with applications like healthcare services, traffic monitoring, video streaming, smart homes, etc. These applications produce an enormous amount of data, so a realistic option in this instance is to offload computational tasks to their proximity fog nodes (FNs) instead of the remote cloud. However, a negligent offloading strategy may cause anomalous computational traffic load at the FNs, causing congestion that may adversely affect the latency. However, the latency of task flows from IoT devices comprises communications latency at BS and computational latency at FNs. Therefore, designing offloading algorithms to distribute the computational load at FN evenly and efficiently utilize the FN resources is crucial. To solve this problem, we proposed LBA in a fog network with a binary offloading strategy using the matching theory-based approach. We utilize the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to generate the preference list. Furthermore, the binary offloading technique follows the deferred acceptance algorithm (DAA) to produce a stable assignment, and the complete offloading problem is modeled as a one-to-many matching game. Comprehensive simulations ensure that LBA can accomplish a better-balanced assignment for homogeneous and heterogeneous input concerning all the baseline algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Spreadsheets contain a lot of valuable data and have many practical *** key technology of these practical applications is how to make machines understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets,e.g.,identifying cell function types and discovering relationships between cell *** existing methods for understanding the semantic structure of spreadsheets do not make use of the semantic information of cells.A few studies do,but they ignore the layout structure information of spreadsheets,which affects the performance of cell function classification and the discovery of different relationship types of cell *** this paper,we propose a Heuristic algorithm for Understanding the Semantic Structure of spreadsheets(HUSS).Specifically,for improving the cell function classification,we propose an error correction mechanism(ECM)based on an existing cell function classification model[11]and the layout features of *** improving the table structure analysis,we propose five types of heuristic rules to extract four different types of cell pairs,based on the cell style and spatial location *** experimental results on five real-world datasets demonstrate that HUSS can effectively understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets and outperforms corresponding baselines.

This paper presents a comprehensive dataset of Egyptian roads integrated with chaotic scenarios captured by EGY-DRiVeS' lab golf car to aid in developing the autonomous driving experience. Using Velodyne 3D laser scanners, C922 Pro HD webcams, and iPhone 11 Pro cameras, a cumulative recording time of 3 hours and 48 minutes was documented. This included 1 hour and 15 minutes of LiDAR recordings, 1 hour and 45 minutes of camera recordings, and 48 minutes and 13 seconds of synced recordings. The dataset encompasses diverse scenarios and objects, ranging from urban environments with dynamic and static objects to rural highways. In-campus roads and intersections are also included, providing real-world scenarios such as vehicular and pedestrian behavior within campus premises. Each part of the dataset is annotated with 2D bounding boxes offering detailed information about vehicles, pedestrians and road objects. The provided data are calibrated, synchronized, and timestamped. Alongside the dataset, data format specifications, annotated data samples, and all supplementary recordings are provided upon request. © 2024 IEEE.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our lives in many ways. Many people faced different challenges during the pandemic to accomplish their daily activities. Many people faced various challenges during the pandemic might have been very stressful, overwhelming, and disgusting. Therefore, it is common to feel stress, irritation, mood swings, and anxiety during the pandemic. Different methodologies by medical practitioners are being taken. Additionally, researchers from academia are also trying to strengthen the methods. Unfortunately, the way for automatic, continuous, and invisible stress detection by the researchers are insufficient and not studied in depth. It becomes essential in the post-pandemic scenario due to COVID-19 disease. This paper studies the impact of stress on people during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study includes origin, classification, impact on health, prevention solutions, etc. Further statistics on the affected people by the stress during the period are provided.

Predicting vehicles' motion on highways has become crucial for enhancing road safety and traffic flow. Deep learning, which reached exceptional results in various applications, is now the leading approach for vehicle motion prediction. This work presents a deep learning-based model using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to classify vehicle intentions into lane-keeping, left lane-changing, and right lane-changing. Utilizing the PREVENTION dataset, which provides naturalistic driving data, a sequence of centre points, longitudinal distances, lateral distances and yaw angles of a vehicle has been extracted to train the model to predict lane changes effectively. The model consists of three LSTM layers, a dense output layer and a drop out added between layers to prevent overfitting. Experiments focusing on optimizing the model parameters, learning rate, sequence length, and batch size, were conducted to determine their impact on prediction effectiveness. The best-performing model showed significant results in lane changing prediction, achieving an accuracy of 84%, precision of 89%, and recall of 82%. Future work will aim to train the model on more complex features, to account for vehicle inter-dependencies and interactions, and test model on various highway scenarios for a more reliable system. © 2024 IEEE.

The auto-regressive (AR) architecture, exemplified by models such as GPT, is extensively utilized in modern Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems. However, it often leads to considerable inference delays, primarily due to the challenges associated with next-token prediction in long speech sequences. In this work, we introduce VADUSA, one of the first approaches to accelerate AR-based TTS through speculative decoding. Our findings demonstrate that VADUSA not only delivers a significant reduction in inference time but also enhances TTS quality by employing draft heads to predict future speech tokens in an auto-regressive manner. Additionally, the incorporation of a tolerance mechanism during the sampling process further boosts performance, yielding approximately a 3× speedup in AR TTS. Moreover, our approach exhibits strong generalization across diverse datasets and various speech token types. © 2025 IEEE.
