Prior to this position he held the position of Deputy Chief Design Engineer at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute of Naval Architecture and a Bachelor of Law degree from the George Washington University Law School. He was civilian project coordinator for the Hull Design Branch for the design of USS Enterprise CVA(N)65 and has been engaged in hull design for the Navy since 1948. Commander Frederick W. Miehe Jr. U. S. Navy is a student in the Navy Graduate Financial Management Program at The George Washington University. Prior to entering this program he was project officer for major combatant ships in the Machinery Design Branch Bureau of Ships. Earlier duty assignments include shipyards staff and shipboard engineering as well as a brief interlude flying blimps. He received the Bachelor of Science degree at the United States Naval Academy in 1943 and the Degree of Naval Engineer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1949. Lieut. Commander Thomas B. Wilson Jr. U. S. Navy is project officer for aircraft carriers in the Hull Design Branch Bureau of Ships. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the United States Naval Academy in 1948 and his Master of Science degree at Webb Institute of Naval Architecture in 1953. He has been concerned with the construction conversion repairing docking and operation of aircraft carriers since 1951.

He has a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and master's degrees in operations research from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and in industrial personnel administration from George Washington University. Previous related positions include nuclear cruise project officer supervisor of shipbuilding Newport News VA and fleet maintenance and modernization analyst CNO's Office of Systems Analysis (OP. 96). R. P. Riddick III:is a principal staff member of Advanced Technology and deputy program director for the Configuration Management Directorate of the Systems Analysis Operations Center. He contributes technical expertise in configuration management and data management to the Aegis shipbuilding program. Mr. Riddick applies more than 15 years of comprehensive technical experience in ship design and construction coupled with an understanding of the SupShip/shipyard environment to efforts in support of the Aegis cruiser director.

He holds a BSEE from North Carolina State University and a MSEE and professional degree from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. During his naval career he served on USSIndependence (CVA-62) and USSLuce (DLC-7/DDC-38). He also served at Supship Quincy Mass. and Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. He was stationed in Washington D.C. with assignments at CNO (OP 98) ASN (S&L) and the Naval Sea Systems Command. Captain Vinroot was technical director of the Battleship Reactivation Program (PMS 378) technical director of the Destroyer Acquisition Program (PMS 389) and deputy program manager of the Amphibious Warfare and Strategic Sealift Program (PMS 377). Most recently he served as program manager for Gas Turbine Surface Combatants (PMS 314) and Surface Combatants (PMS 330). Captain Vinroot is now employed by PRC Inc. and serves as technical director for the Advanced Technology Division in Crystal City Va. Jeffery G. Ornergraduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield Ohio in 1979 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and earned a master's of science degree in business from The American University in Washington D.C. in 1982. He has ten years of professional experience with the Naval Sea Systems Command in positions with responsibilities for logistic support planning policy and delivery computer-aided acquisition and logistic support and Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) and ship construction issues. He was a key player in establishing the current FMP integrated logistic support (ILS) process and in implementing of the Ships' Configuration and Logistic Support Information System (SCLSIS). His current position as Fleet Logistic Support Branch head for the Surface Combatant Program includes responsibility for logistic support and management of ship configuration and logistic data for all surface combatant ships (except for Aegis ships). As a 32-year-old naval architect in 1971 he received both the VietnamHonorServiceMedaland the Navy'sMeritoriousCivilianServiceAwardfor his eight months as liaison with the Vietnamese NAVVS ferro-cement ship program. As head of the Seakeeping and Stabilization Group of the Surface Ship Dynamics Branch his work has led to the development of a new standard Ship Motion Computer Program and the application of ship motions to ship habitability operability and survivability problems. A major area of this work has been the ship/aircraft interface which is particularly sensitive to ship motions wind and other environmental factors. Mr. Dennis A. Woolaver:has been employed as a Naval Architect at the David W. Taylor Naval Ship Research and Development Center since 1965 where his work has resulted in numerous patents. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University where he also completed graduate work in Communication Theory. 作者: RAWAT, P who began his education in his native India received a Bachelor of Technology degree with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1957. His subsequent education includes S. M.‘s in Industrial Management and Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from M. I. T. in 1961 and a professional degree in Naval Architecture from the same institution in 1965. Rawat's career began as a Naval Architect in preliminary design with the Hamburg firm of Howladtswerke in 1958. A year later he performed as a research assistant in M. I. T.'s School of Industrial Management for a Ford Foundation Project for a top management training program for India. After this two-year period he acted as the head of the Department Head of Engineering at the Ghana Nautical College in West Africa until 1963. He returned to M. I. T. afterwards to work as a research assistant in Naval Architecture on structural optimization programs. From 1965 to 1966 he filled the capacity of Naval Architecture with M. Rosenblatt & Son in the area of structural design on such projects as MOHOLE AGOR 14 and Catamaran Hull. Since 1966 Rawat has been working in various capacities with Litton Industries: Senior Naval Architect on the FDL Project Section Manager of Hull Structures for the LHA and DD Projects and his present position as Section Manager for Computer Aided Ship Design.
