Long service life of implants is of high importance to patients. This study deposited amorphous carbon (a-C) coatings on biomedical grade Ti6Al4V substrate using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). The effect of substrate bias power on microstructure and corrosion of the coatings is investigated and compared with the bare Ti6Al4V substrate. The experimental results show that the substrate bias power of 30 W leads to amorphous carbon in microstructure. With increased bias nanocrystalline graphite appears. All coated samples have significant improvements in corrosion resistivity as compared to Ti6Al4V alone. The sample deposited at bias power of 30 W with a thickness of 150 nm demonstrated the lowest corrosion current of 6.47 nA/cm2 and the lowest corrosion rate of 8.05 nm/year, which can postpone the corrosion of the Ti6Al4V substrate for at least 18 years. From the in-vitro cell culture studies, the best sample also registered the higher cell viability and biocompatibility as compared to bare Ti6Al4V, thus could be helpful in promoting healing. © 2019

The exchanged hypercube, denoted by EH(s, t), is a graph obtained by systematically removing edges from the corresponding hypercube, while preserving many of the hypercube’s attractive properties. Moreover, ring-connected topology is one of the most promising topologies in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) optical networks. Let Rn denote a ring-connected topology. In this paper, we address the routing and wavelength assignment problem for implementing the EH(s, t) communication pattern on Rn, where n = s + t + 1. We design an embedding scheme. Based on the embedding scheme, a near-optimal wavelength assignment algorithm using 2s+t−2 + 2t/3 wavelengths is proposed. We also show that the wavelength assignment algorithm uses no more than an additional 25 percent of (or 2t−1/3) wavelengths, compared to the optimal wavelength assignment algorithm. Ontology Design of Influential People Identification Using Centrality

Identifying influential people as a node in a graph theory commonly calculated by social network analysis. The social network data has the user as node and edge as relation forming a friend relation graph. This research is conducting different meaning of every nodes relation in the social network. Ontology was perfect match science to describe the social network data as conceptual and domain. Ontology gives essential relationship in a social network more than a current graph. Ontology proposed as a standard for knowledge representation for the semantic web by World Wide Web Consortium. The formal data representation use Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL) which is strategic for Open Knowledge-Based website data. Ontology used in the semantic description for a relationship in the social network, it is open to developing semantic based relationship ontology by adding and modifying various and different relationship to have influential people as a conclusion. This research proposes a model using OWL and RDF for influential people identification in the social network. The study use degree centrality, between ness centrality, and closeness centrality measurement for data validation. As a conclusion, influential people identification in Facebook can use proposed Ontology model in the Group, Photos, Photo Tag, Friends, Events and Works data.

Melt viscosity, determined by the shear rate, barrel temperatures, and pressure during plasticization, greatly affects the flow ability of polymer melts as well as the quality of injection-molded parts. In particular, the consistency of molding qualities is highly relevant to the plasticizing quality at each cycle (i.e., injection molding requiring a high yield rate highly relies on the stability of polymer melts). However, numerous factors affect the plasticizing quality, including the geometry of injection screws, processed polymer materials, processing parameters of plasticization such as the feeding rate, screw rotational speed, barrel temperatures, back pressure, and screw backward speed. The conventional approach of plasticization in injection molding machines uses a single reciprocating screw for conveying, melting, and metering polymer melts. The plasticizing quality is roughly adjusted by indirectly controlling barrel temperatures;thus, the melt viscosity varies. An in-suit approach of assuring melt quality is to measure the melt viscosity variation online, which is a more suitable indicator of the plasticizing quality than temperature. This study thus monitored the melt viscosity variations in polymer melts by using in-mold pressure sensors. Furthermore, the effects of the injection velocity and mold temperature on the melt viscosity variations were examined.

Sampeu: Servicing Web Map Tile Service over Web Map Service to Increase Computation Performance

Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has a standard for cartographic over web service; there are Web Map Service (WMS) used by MapServer, Web Feature Service (WFS), and Web Map Tile Service. There is research on comparing two cartography information between WMS and WFS, so this research extends to proposed solution by comparing WMS and WMTS computation cost and created a product called Sampeu. Sampeu has proposed a solution by creating WMTS protocol over WMS. WMTS work on the tile-ing system where the data transform from big picture to part of the Tile is. A lot of Tile making a pyramid of cartography and serving to client one by one, so the computation cost can be decreasing.

SQL Collaborative Learning Framework Based on SOA

The research is focused on designing collaborative learning-oriented framework fulfilment service in teaching SQL Oracle 10g. Framework built a foundation of academic fulfilment service performed by a layer of the working unit in collaboration with program Studi Manajemen Informatika. In the design phase defined what form of collaboration models and information technology proposed for program Studi Manajemen Informatika by using a framework of collaboration inspired by the stages of modelling a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Stages begin with analyzing subsystems, this activity is used to determine subsystem involved and reliance as well as workflow between the subsystems. After the service can be identified, the second phase is designing the component specifications, which details the components that are implemented in the service to include the data, rules, services, profiles can be configured, and variations. The third stage is to allocate service, set the service to the subsystems that have been identified, and its components. Implementation framework contributes to the teaching guides and application architecture that can be used as a landing realize an increase in service by applying information technology.

Many researches proposes geospatial web framework over the popularity of the Internet. Based on that, research on securing geospatial web framework is necessary. In this research aimed Peuyeum. Peuyeum is geospatial web framework with Encrypted Universal Resource Locator (URL). Advance Encryption Standard (AES)-Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) chosen as the method in this research. By calculating attack time, the brute force attack will reduce by this approach and resistance time will improve.

Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) indicates subclinical organ damage, associating with the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. From the medical perspective, electrocardiogram (ECG) is a low-cost, non-invasive, and easily reproducible tool that is often used as a preliminary diagnosis for the detection of heart disease. Nowadays, there are many criteria for assessing LVH by ECG. These criteria usually include that voltage combination of RS peaks in multi-lead ECG must be greater than one or more thresholds for diagnosis. We developed a system for detecting LVH using ECG signals by two steps: firstly, the R-peak and S-valley amplitudes of the 12-lead ECG were extracted to automatically obtain a total of 24 features and ECG beats of each case (LVH or non-LVH) were segmented; secondly, a back propagation neural network (BPN) was trained using a dataset with these features. Echocardiography (ECHO) was used as the gold standard for diagnosing LVH. The number of LVH cases (of a Taiwanese population) identified was 173. As each ECG sequence generally included 8 to 13 cycles (heartbeats) due to differences in heart rate, etc., we identified 1466 ECG cycles of LVH patients after beat segmentation. Results showed that our BPN model for detecting LVH reached the testing accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and specificity of 0.961, 0.958, 0.966 and 0.956, respectively. Detection performances of our BPN model, on the whole, outperform 7 methods using ECG criteria and many ECG-based artificial intelligence (AI) models reported previously for detecting LVH.

Introduction: Fractures affect people's quality of life especially in the elders. One of the most important risk factors is osteoporosis. There are many screening tools to predict osteoporosis and fractures. We aimed to compare the predictive validity of three commonly used screening tools: fracture risk assessment tool (FRAX), osteoporosis self-assessment tool for Asians (OSTA) and one-minute osteoporosis risk test. Among them, OSTA and one-minute osteoporosis risk test were originally developed to predict osteoporosis risks and FRAX was to predict fracture risks. Methods: This is an 11-year longitudinal study. We enrolled 708 senior people from health examinees in Taiwan in 2010. A standardized questionnaire and blood tests were provided. Annual telephone interview was conducted to assess the real fracture status. We calculated risk scores of FRAX, OSTA, and one-minute osteoporosis risk test and compared with real-world fracture records. Results: The mean age of the participants were 74.9 (SD 6.4). There were 356 (50.3 %) men. From 2010 to 2020, a total of 105 (14.8 %) persons suffered from fractures. Compared to people without fractures, people with fractures had higher FRAX major osteoporotic fracture risk scores (14.0 % ± 7.6 % vs.11.3 % ± 5.7 %), higher hip fracture risk scores, and higher OSTA risk (5.9 % ± 1.4 % vs. 5.3 % ± 1.3 %). Cox regression analysis showed that hazard ratios for fracture of high FRAX risk was 1.53 (95 % confidence interval (CI) 1.05–2.21), and for high OSTA risk was 1.37 (95 % CI 1.04–1.82). Conclusions: Only OSTA and FRAX scores were satisfactory in predicting 10-year fractures. © 2024

Modification planning of business transformation involving technological utilization required a system of transition and migration planning process. Planning of system migration activity is the most important. The migration process is including complex elements such as business re-engineering, transition scheme mapping, data transformation, application development, individual involvement by computer and trial interaction. TOGAF ADM is the framework and method of enterprise architecture implementation. TOGAF ADM provides a manual refer to the architecture and migration planning. The planning includes an implementation solution, in this case, IT solution, but when the solution becomes an IT operational planning, TOGAF could not handle it. This paper presents a new model framework detail transitions process of integration between TOGAF and ITIL. We evaluated our models in field study inside a private university.
