The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB accelerator in Japan is dedicated to exploring physics beyond the Standard Model by performing high-precision measurements of heavy-flavor processes. The SuperKEKB will undergo a major upgrade during a second long shutdown to achieve the target luminosity of 6×1035 cm−2s−1. The vertex detector is a critical component of Belle II, responsible for precise tracking and vertexing near to the interaction point. The current vertex detector will be upgraded to a fully pixelated vertex detector (VTX) based on Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS) technology to enhance performance and address challenges from increasing luminosity. The VTX will consist of five layers of depleted MAPS sensor, called OBElIX, with radii from 14 mm to 140 mm and a material budget ranging from 0.2-0.8% X0 per layer. The OBElIX sensor is derived from the TJ-Monopix2 sensor, originally developed under TowerJazz 180 nm for the ATlAS experiment. This paper discusses the design, implementation, and expected performance of the VTX, highlighting the technical advances brought by MAPS technology, which offer significant advantages in terms of material budget, radiation hardness, and spatial resolution. Consistent derivation of non-constant material function for one-dimensional shape memory alloy phenomenological model

Constitutive modelling of shape memory alloys with new material functions is presented within the frame work of thermodynamic consistency. A one- dimensional constitutive model based on the previous work of constant and non-constant material functions is redefined from first principles. In the first step Clausius-duhem inequality condition for stress is rewritten and an alternate form of differential equation is proposed. The initial and final condition of evolution are applied to obtain a new form of non-constant transformation tensor, which is independent of residual strain the SMA material. As a result in the present work the residual strain is purely defined as a function of transformation stress and not as a function of transformation modulus. The proposed form of new transformation tensor is compared with previously proposed material function and validation results for the consistency are presented. It is observed that newly derived non-constant material function is compatible in both differential and integrated form of the one-dimensional shape memory alloy constitutive relation and satisfies the evolution conditions of phase transformations.

India is an agricultural country and this sector accounts for 18 percent of India's GdP. This sector is the backbone of the country and focuses on better yield by using pesticides and fertilizers to prevent plant disorders which directly affects the yield. The primary method adopted for detecting disorders is through visual observation and other methods are quite expensive. Many authors have proposed solutions to this problem such as IoT for grapes, or system designed for accurate disorder detection using machine learning with limited scope. This paper showcases a prototype that uses multi-modal analysis through sensor data, computer vision. The main objective of this system is to accurately detect disorders in tomato plant using IoT, Machine learning, Cloud Computing, and Image Processing.

RATIONAlE ANd OBJECTIVES:Histotripsy uses a large array and high peak negative pressure (PNP) for mechanical tissue ablation. Our prior study shows that manual injection of exogenous cavitation nuclei-perfluoropentane (PFP) droplets, substantially lowers the needed PNP. Combined with low-frequency (300-600 kHz) and low-PNP (1-5 MPa) focused ultrasound (FUS), this approach effectively induces mechanical liver tissue damage. However, the high fluidity of PFP droplets leads to bubble cloud dispersion beyond the target zone, potentially causing non-target tissue damage during sustained FUS exposure. To address this issue, we developed an innovative sonoablation strategy utilizing an acoustic droplet vaporization acoustically responsive scaffold (ARS) designed to spatially confine PFP droplets, thereby generating localized bubble clouds strictly within the intended ablation zone. MATERIAlS ANd METHOdS:15 healthy New Zealand rabbits were divided into three groups based on different transducers: CK960, PRO2.1, and PRO4.1. ARS is composed of a mixture of fibrinogen solution, dMEM, phase-change perfluoropentane microparticles, and thrombin. ARS were injected into the liver mid-lobe under ultrasound (US), then treated with FUS. RESUlTS:We discovered that the optimal fibrinogen concentration for achieving the best limited high-concentration bubble cloud and mechanical ablation effect with AdV in the target area was 1.47 mg/ml. Conventional US 2d images revealed that ARS effectively restricted the flow of PFP droplets, resulting in localized high-concentration bubble clouds in the target region. Gross observation indicated cavitation necrosis in the liver tissue target area. HE staining showed grade 3 pathological damage across all groups. The damaged areas in the liver target were 6.86±2.62mm, 13.72±6.08mm, and 11.68±9.43mm for the CK960, PRO2.1, and PRO4.1 groups, respectively. Error analysis of the numerical method for correcting the propagation of EM waves in the troposphere

Electromagnetic (EM) waves do not travel in straight lines in the troposphere due to refraction. This leads to errors in many engineering applications. In order to correct these errors, a numerical solution based on the difference method has been proposed, which can reveal the degree of EM wave bending owing to atmospheric refraction, moreover, it can predict the actual path of the EM wave propagating in the troposphere. The error of the numerical method is studied here, which reveals the source of the error. Based on this, two improvement methods are proposed. The computational accuracy of the numerical methods is verified by comparison with the analytical solution. The proposed method ensures the computational efficiency and accuracy of the problem of refraction of EM waves in the troposphere. © 2020 SBMO/SBMag

In this present work, we derive the solution of a quadratic functional equation and investigate the Ulam stability of this equation in Banach spaces using fixed point and direct techniques. Mainly, we examine the stability results in quasi- β -Banach spaces and quasi-fuzzy β -Banach spaces by means of direct method as well as quasi-Banach spaces by means of alternative fixed point theorem in the sense of generalized b -metric spaces. To further establish the instability of a single case, an appropriate counterexample is also provided.

data extraction is often a dynamic process that can be easily modelled as a workflow for data processing. When massive collections of data have to be evaluated and/or sophisticated data mining algorithms have to be performed, it can take very long to execute data analysis workflows. Effective technologies are also needed to incorporate flexible data collection workflows through the use of cloud-based storage platforms, where data is stored even more regularly. The paper attempts to show how cloud infrastructure is implemented to introduce an optimised framework in which scalable data analyzation workflows can be planned and performed. We explain how the data Mining Cloud Architecture is built and applied and a data analytics method that incorporates visual workflow vocabulary, parallel to the Virtualized environment. dMCF is developed with a view to simplifying the creation of applications for data mining associated with generic system monitoring schemes that are not created especially for this area, in view of the specifications of actual data mining applications. The effects are a high-level environment that minimises the programming effort with an optimised visual workflow language, allowing the implementation of typical patterns meant to generate and execute data mining application in parallel simple to professional developers. The wall mounted of the workflow, device design and mechanisms of the dMCF are shown. We also address many dMCF-developed data mining business processes and the scalability achieved by running business processes in a cloud environment.

Valorisation of agri-food waste is an essential aspect of creating sustainable circular food systems. The European Research Area Network Cofund Food Systems and Climate (FOSC) and the SUSFOOd2 ERA-Net Cofund supported eight projects focusing on the valorisation of waste generated during primary production or food processing. The projects identified barriers related to the technological, socio-economic, legislative, and institutional challenges of developing a circular food system, and concluded that overcoming these barriers and promoting a circular bioeconomy requires a comprehensive approach involving multiple stakeholders, including fostering supportive policies, and addressing regulatory concerns. The collective experience of the eight projects demonstrates that it is essential to rethink the limitations imposed by the term ‘waste’, and instead to consider all agri-food residues as side streams which have the potential to be valorised as resources for food and feed production if they can be proven as safe to return to the food chain. © 2025 The Authors

Photonic spin Hall effect is a manifestation of spin-orbit interaction of light and can be measured by a transverse shift δ of photons with opposite spins. The precise measurement of transverse shifts can enable many spin-related applications, such as precise metrology and optical sensing. However, this transverse shift is generally small (i.e. δ/λ -1, λ is the wavelength), which impedes its precise measurement. To-date proposals to generate giant spin Hall effect (namely with δ/λ > 102) have severe limitations, particularly its occurrence only over a narrow angular cone (with a width of ∆0 70◦ by exploiting the interface between free space and uniaxial epsilon-near-zero media. The underlying mechanism is ascribed to the almost-perfect polarization splitting between s and p polarized waves at the designed interface. Remarkably, this almost-perfect polarization splitting does not resort to the interference effect and is insensitive to the incident angle, which then gives rise to the wide-angle giant photonic spin Hall effect.
