Background In the demanding field of live news broadcasting,the intricate studio production procedures and tight schedules pose significant challenges for physical rehearsals by *** paper explores the design and implementation of a lightweight virtual news previsualization system,leveraging virtual production technology and interaction design methods to address the lack of fidelity in presentations and manipulations,and the quantitative feedback of rehearsal effects in previous virtual *** Our system,Previs-Real,is informed by user investigation with professional cameramen and studio technicians,and adheres to principles of high fidelity,accurate replication of actual hardware operations,and real-time feedback on rehearsal *** system's software and hardware development are implemented based on Unreal Engine and accompanying toolsets,incorporating cutting-edge modeling and camera calibration *** We validated Previs-Real through a user study,demonstrating superior performance in previsualization shooting tasks using the virtual system compared to traditional camera *** findings,supported by both objective performance metrics and subjective responses,underline Previs-Real's effectiveness and potential in transforming news broadcasting *** Previs-Real eliminates the requirement for complex equipment interconnections and team coordination inherent in a physical studio by implementing methodologies complying the above principles,objectively resulting in a lightweight design of applicable version of virtual news previsualization *** offers a novel solution to the challenges in news studio previsualization by focusing on key operational features rather than full environment *** design approach is equally effective in the process of designing lightweight systems in other fields.

Comparative analysis of DNA-SIP and magnetic-nanoparticle mediated isolation (MMI) on unraveling dimethoate degraders

Microorganisms are crucial in the bioremediation of organophosphorus pesticides. However, most functional microorganisms (> 99%) are yet to be cultivated. This study applied two cultivation-independent approaches, DNA-SIP and magnetic-nanoparticle mediated isolation (MMI), to identify the functional microorganisms in degrading dimethoate in agricultural soils. MMI identified five dimethoate degraders: Pseudomonas, Bacillus, Ramlibacter, Arthrobacter, and Rhodococcus, whereas DNA-SIP identified three dimethoate degraders: Ramlibacter, Arthrobacter, and Rhodococcus. Also, MMI showed higher resolution than DNA-SIP in identifying functional microorganisms. Two organic phosphohydrolase (OPH) genes: ophC2 and ophB, were involved in dimethoate metabolism, as revealed by DNA-SIP and MMI. The degradation products of dimethoate include omethoate, O,O,S-trimethyl thiophosphorothioate, N-methyl-2-sulfanylacetamide, O,O-diethyl S-hydrogen phosphorodithioate, O,O,O-trimethyl thiophosphate, O,O,S-trimethyl thiophosphorodithioate, and O,O,O-trimethyl phosphoric. This study emphasizes the feasibility of using SIP and MMI to explore the functional dimethoate degraders, expanding our knowledge of microbial resources with cultivation-independent approaches.

We perform a unified description of the experimental data of the π^(+)π^(-)and J/ψπ^(±)invariant mass spectra for e^(+)e^(-)→J/ψπ^(+)π^(-)and the D^(0)D^(*-)mass spectrum for e^(+)e^(-)→D^(0)D^(*-)π^(+)at e^(+)e^(-)center-of-mass energies 4.23 and 4.26 *** analysis takes into account open-charm meson loops that contain triangle singularities,the J/ψπ-DD^(*)coupled-channel interaction respecting unitarity,and the strong ππ-KK final state interaction using dispersion *** analysis leads to a precise determination of the Z_(c)(3900)pole with the pole mass and width(3880.7±1.7_(stat)±22.4_(syst))MeV and(35.9±1.4_(stat)±15.3_(syst))MeV,respectively,and hints at that the DD^(*)molecular and non-molecular components are of similar importance in the Z_(c)(3900)formation.

The application of reinforcement learning in traffic signal control (TSC) has been extensively researched and yielded notable achievements. However, most existing works for TSC assume that traffic data from all surrounding intersections is fully and continuously available through sensors. In real-world applications, this assumption often fails due to sensor malfunctions or data loss, making TSC with missing data a critical challenge. To meet the needs of practical applications, we introduce DiffLight, a novel conditional diffusion model for TSC under data-missing scenarios in the offline setting. Specifically, we integrate two essential sub-tasks, i.e., traffic data imputation and decision-making, by leveraging a Partial Rewards Conditioned Diffusion (PRCD) model to prevent missing rewards from interfering with the learning process. Meanwhile, to effectively capture the spatial-temporal dependencies among intersections, we design a Spatial-Temporal transFormer (STFormer) architecture. In addition, we propose a Diffusion Communication Mechanism (DCM) to promote better communication and control performance under data-missing scenarios. Extensive experiments on five datasets with various data-missing scenarios demonstrate that DiffLight is an effective controller to address TSC with missing data. This paper describes a promising route for the exploration and development of 3.0 THz sensing and imaging with FET-based power detectors in a standard 65 nm CMOS *** on the plasma-wave theory proposed by Dyakonov and Shur,we designed high-responsivity and low-noise multiple detectors for monitoring a pulse-mode 3.0 THz quantum cascade laser(QCL).Furthermore,we present a fully integrated high-speed 32×32-pixel 3.0 THz CMOS image sensor(CIS).The full CIS measures 2.81×5.39 mm^(2) and achieves a 423 V/W responsivity(Rv)and a 5.3 nW integral noise equivalent power(NEP)at room *** experiments,we demonstrate a testing speed reaching 319 fps under continuous-wave(CW)illumina-tion of a 3.0 THz *** results indicate that our terahertz CIS has excellent potential in cost-effective and commercial THz imaging and material detection.

Chemical inhomogeneity inhibits grain boundary fracture:A comparative study in CrCoNi medium entropy alloy

Grain boundary(GB)fracture is arguably one of the most important reasons for the catastrophic failure of ductile polycrystalline *** is of interest to explore the role of chemical distribution on GB defor-mation and fracture,as GB segregation becomes a key strategy for tailoring GB *** we report that the inhomogeneous chemical distribution effectively inhibits GB fracture in a model CoCrNi medium entropy alloy compared to a so-called‘average-atom’*** deformation kinematics combined with electronic behavior analysis reveals that the strong charge redistribution ability in chemical disor-dered CrCoNi GBs enhances shear deformation and thus prevents GB crack formation and *** on the GBs with different chemical components and chemical distributions suggest that not only disordered chemical distribution but also sufficient“harmonic elements”with large electronic flexibility contribute to improving the GB fracture *** study provides new insight into the influence mechanism of GB chemistry on fracture behavior,and yields a systematic strategy and criterion,from the atoms and electrons level,forward in the design of high-performance materials with enhanced GB fracture resistance.

Selective laser melted Ti6Al4V alloy has broad application prospects in aeroengine field. In this study, high cycle fatigue tests were carried out systematically using hourglass shaped specimen (K t=1) at 400 °C. The S-N curves were acquired and compared with data of the casting and the forging. The anisotropy and the defect effects of the fatigue performance were analysed. The LOF defects on the surface and subsurface preferentially act as the fatigue crack initiation site for almost all the tested HCF specimens. The position and irregularity of defect have greater influence on elevated temperature fatigue life than the defect size. The fatigue strength of horizontal orientation is lower than that of vertical orientation, because of the characteristics of larger size, more irregular shape and higher density for the crack source defects of horizontal specimens. The fatigue performance of the SLM Ti6Al4V alloy in this study is better than that of the casting and even the forging, but the dispersion of fatigue data of the SLM alloy is much greater than that of the both traditional process alloys. © 2023 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Catalytic ozonation is an effective wastewater purification ***,the low ozone mass transfer in packed bubble columns leads to low ozone utilization efficiency(OUE),poor organic degradation performance,and high energy ***,there is an urgent need to develop efficient supported catalysts that can enhancemass transfer and ***,the reaction mechanism of the support on ozone mass transfer remains unclear,which hinders the development of catalytic ozonation *** this study,lava rocks(LR)-supported catalysts,specifically CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR and MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR,were proposed for catalytic ozonation of IBP degradation due to their superior catalytic activity,stability,and high *** of CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR or MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR increased IBP removal efficiency from 85%to 91%or 88%,and reduced energy consumption from 2.86 to 2.14 kWh/m^(3)or 2.60 kWh/m^(3),*** improvement was attributed to LRsupported catalysts enhancing mass transfer and promoting O3 decomposition to generate•OH and•O_(2)^(−),leading to IBP ***,this study investigated the effects of ozone dose,supporter sizes,and catalyst components on ozone-liquid mass *** results revealed that the size of the supporter influenced stacked porosity and consequently affected ozone mass ***-sized LR(kLa=0.172 min^(−1))exhibited better mass transfer compared to smaller-sized *** on these findings,it was concluded that both CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR and MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR are potential catalysts for catalytic ozonation in residual IBP degradation of pharmaceutical wastewater,and LR showed good credibility as a catalyst *** the effects of supporters and active components on ozone mass transfer provides a fundamental principle for designing supported catalysts in catalytic ozonation applications.
