Nipah virus(NiV)is a zoonotic paramyxovirus in the genus Henipavirus that is prevalent in Southeast *** leads to severe respiratory disease and encephalitis in humans and animals,with a mortality rate of up to 75%.Despite the grave threat to public health and global biosecurity,no medical countermeasures are available for ***,based on self-assembled ferritin nanoparticles(FeNPs),we successfully constructed two candidate FeNP vaccines by loading mammalian cells expressing NiV sG(residues 71–602,FeNP-sG)and Ghead(residues 182–602,FeNP-Ghead)onto ***-expressed FeNPs(FeNP-sG and FeNP-Ghead,respectively)through Spycatcher/Spytag *** with sG and Ghead alone,FeNP-sG and FeNP-Ghead elicited significant NiV specific neutralizing antibody levels and T-cell responses in mice,whereas the immune response in the FeNP-sG immunized group was greater than that in the FeNP-Ghead *** results further demonstrate that sG possesses greater antigenicity than Ghead and that FeNPs can dramatically enhance ***,FeNP-sG provided 100%protection against NiV challenge in a hamster model when it was administered twice at a dose of 5μg/per *** study provides not only a promising candidate vaccine against NiV,but also a theoretical foundation for the design of a NiV immunogen for the development of novel strategies against NiV infection.

PM_(2.5)pollution variations in different microenvironments would result in PM_(2.5)exposure inequity between rural and urban *** this study,the real-time PM_(2.5)exposure of urban and rural residents in China was examined based on portable PM_(2.5)sensors together with activity patterns derived from questionnaire surveys,with a focus on students and senior citizens who are sensitive to air *** results showed that PM_(2.5)exposure varied significantly among different resident groups,with higher PM_(2.5)exposure of rural residents than those of urban ***_(2.5)exposure peaks mostly occurred during(Accompanied)cooking activities owing to strong *** and resting were the main activities that affected PM_(2.5)exposures of different resident groups,accounting for 60.7%-94.5%of total daily ***,the long duration of sleeping makes it the predominant activity contributing to PM 25 exposure *** is necessary to obtain point-to-point respiratory volume(respiratory rate)data when measuring real-time PM_(2.5)exposure data and incorporate respiratory volume(respiratory rate)into the analysis of PM_(2.5)*** the first time,this study quantified the PM_(2.5)exposure inequality based on a novel method and can provide useful information for further studies on the exposure inequity.

Effect of Aggregation Structure on Thermal Expansion Behavior of Polyimide Films with Different Thickness

Performance of CRA-40 reanalysis in representing the Antarctic winter stratospheric circulation: a comparison with ERA-5 and MERRA-2

This paper evaluates a representation of winter stratospheric circulation in the Antarctic that is based on CRA-40, a 40-year global reanalysis dataset released by the China Meteorological Administration, and compares it with representations based on two other state-of-the-art reanalysis datasets: the fifth-generation atmospheric reanalysis provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ERA-5) and the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, version 2(MERRA-2). In terms of climatology, we find that CRA-40 portrays a stronger and colder polar vortex in the middle and lower stratosphere than ERA-5, but a weaker and warmer one than MERRA-2. However, disagreement among the three reanalyses is confined mainly to the period before1999, and is largely reduced after that time. On the interannual timescale, portrayals of the intensity and area of the 10-hPa polar vortex are quite consistent among the three reanalyses, with correlation coefficients greater than 0.9 between each pair of reanalyses. In addition, the central dates of most sudden stratospheric deceleration(SSD) events at 10 hPa in the three reanalyses differ by less than one day, indicating that CRA-40 is also highly consistent with the other two reanalysis datasets regarding daily evolution. Our analyses suggest that CRA-40 performs comparably to ERA-5 and MERRA-2 in characterizing winter circulation in the Antarctic middle and lower stratosphere.

Based on the operational principles of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and laser diodes, we have designed and constructed a semiconductor laser driver circuit. The temperature control and feedback circuit employ high-speed MOSFETs as switching devices to drive the laser diodes. Utilizing LTspice simulation software, we analyzed the impact of supply voltage, energy storage capacitor, and damping resistor on the driving pulse in the laser driver circuit, ultimately selecting optimal circuit parameters. This circuit meets the design requirements for high-current nanosecond pulse semiconductor laser driver circuits. Through interaction with an upper computer system, it is possible to continuously adjust the laser's drive current and operating temperature to ensure that the output wavelength of the semiconductor laser falls within an optimal range. Following testing, this temperature-controlled semiconductor laser driver system fully satisfies practical application needs and effectively resolves issues related to unstable wavelength and power caused by fluctuations in the working temperature of the semiconductor laser. ©2024 IEEE.

Joint Doppler Shift and Channel Estimation for UAV mmWave System with Massive ULA

A joint Doppler shift and channel estimation method for the millimeter-wave communication system of an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) equipped with a large-scale uniform linear antenna(ULA) array has been proposed. Since Doppler shift induces intercarrier interference, the parameters of the channel paths have been decomposed into the Doppler shift and the channel information. In order to obtain the Doppler shift, a new estimation algorithm based on a combination of discrete Fourier transform and phase rotation has been proposed, which can determine the appropriate number of antennas. In addition to estimating the channel information, a low-complexity joint Doppler shift and channel estimation method has been designed that can quickly obtain accurate estimates. Furthermore, the achievable sum rate, the theoretical bounds of the mean squared errors, and the Cram?er-Rao lower bounds of the estimation method have been derived. The analysis and simulation results prove that the performance of the proposed approach is close to the theoretical inference.
