Rational design of Ni-MoO_(3–x) catalyst towards efficient hydrodeoxygenation of lignin-derived bio-oil into naphthenes

Design of a robust catalyst with high activity but the low cost for the hydrodeoxygenation(HDO) of biooils is of great importance to bring the biorefinery concept into *** this study,density functional theory(DFT) calculation was adopted to analyze the optimal location of Ni on MoO_(3-x) containing oxygen vacancy,and the corresponding result demonstrated that metallic Ni cluster located at the neighborhood of oxygen vacancies would significantly evoke HDO *** by DFT results,NiMoO_(4) was first hydrothermally synthesized and then employed to fabricate Ni-MoO_(3-x) catalyst via a low-temperature reduction,where Ni escaped from NiMoO_(4) and was reduced to its metallic *** an evolution of Ni species also induced the formation of oxygen vacancies around metallic Ni *** the HDO of p-cresol,Ni-MoO_(3-x) exhibited high activity with a complete conversion and a methylcyclohexane selectivity of 99.4% at 150℃.Moreover,the catalyst showed good versatility in catalyzing HDO of diverse lignin-derived oxygenates and lignin oil.2D HSQC NMR,gas chromatograph and elemental analysis of the lignin oil demonstrated the high deoxygenation efficiency and saturation of the benzene ring over Ni-MoO_(3-x).In the upgrading of crude lignin oil,the deoxygenation degree was up to 99%,and the overall carbon yield of the naphthenes was as high as 69.4%.Importantly,the structures and carbon numbers of the naphthene products are similar to jet fuel-range cycloalka nes,which are expected to have a high density that can be blended into jet fuel to raise the range(or payload) of *** work demonstrates the feasibility for improving the targeted catalytic reactivity by rational tailoring the catalyst structure under the guidance of theoretical analysis,and provides an energy-efficient route for the upgrading of lignin crude oil into valuable naphthenes.

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is one of the most severe swine diseases in the pig industry. The identification of biomarkers for PRRSV infection is valuable for controlling, eliminating, and treating PRRSV. This study utilized the ultra-performance liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry metabolite profiling platform to identify differential metabolites in exosomes between the control and NADC30-like PRRSV strain infected pigs. Using multivariate analysis combined with univariate analysis, unsupervised principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis models were constructed between the groups. A total of 41 differential metabolites were detected, with 14 upregulated and 27 downregulated metabolites with PRRSV infection. MetaboAnalyst and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes were used to identify potentially relevant significant pathways, and a receiver operating characteristic curve was used to quantify the predictive performance of differential metabolites. The results indicated that tryptophan-related L-kynurenine, 5-hydroxytryptophan, and D (+)-tryptophan significantly increased among PRRSV infected groups, which may play an important role in the progression of PRRSV infection. Metabolites related to amino acid synthesis and metabolism, including 2-arachidonoylglycerol Lysopcs and phosphatidylcholines may also contribute to the lack of immune protection in piglets after PRRSV infection. Moreover, L-kynurenine and taurocholic acid may serve as potential biomarkers for early diagnosis or drug targeting of PRRSV. Overall, these findings provide an important reference to our understanding of PRRS pathogenesis and immune or protective responses during PRRSV acute infection in the host. © 2023 The Authors. The current single-cell analysis technologies such as fluorescence-activated cell sorting(FACS)and fluorescence-activated droplet sorting(FADS)could decipher the cellular heterogeneity but were constrained by low sorting performance and cell ***,an ultra-sensitive single-cell sorting platform has been developed by integrating the FADS technology with Tetramer-HCR-EvaGreen(THE)fluorescence signal *** THE system produced much higher fluorescence signal than that of the single Tetramer or Tetramer-HCR signal *** application to target MCF-7 cells,the platform exhibited high efficacy and selectivity while maintaining more than 95%cell *** THE-FADS achieved sorting efficiencies of 55.5%and 50.3%with purities of 91%and 85%for MCF-7 cells in PBS solutions and simulated serum samples,*** sorted MCF-7 cells showed similar proliferation together with CK19 and EGFR mRNA expression compared with the control *** established THE-FADS showed the promising prospects to cellular heterogeneity understanding and personalized medicine.

Leakage failure is caused by cracks in the weld joint between the body and flange of a pressure vessel. The container body material is graded as P460NH according to the European standard. It operates at a working temperature of 750 °C and a work pressure of 1.5 MPa. It undergone heating once every half a month. The instrument has been in service for 12 years. The crack is located at the weld joint of the flange connection at the end of the pressure vessel with a significant accumulation of black deposits on the interior surface of the reaction kettle. The medium in the production process is nitrogen, coke steam and asphalt steam mixture (including "S"). Macroscopic analysis, physical metallographic inspection, mechanical property analysis and chemical composition inspection of the failure parts are carried out to determine the cause of fracture failure of the pressure vessel B35.1 furnace tail weld. The results show that there are no detailed corrosion thinning areas in the failure parts, there are corrosion products on the surface and the corrosion cracks are distributed in a spatial network, which has the characteristics of stress corrosion. The corrosion causes should be sulfide stress corrosion caused by environment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Carbon-supported CeNCl as an efficient catalyst for CO_(2)cycloaddition

The cycloaddition reaction of CO_(2)with epoxide not only effectively reduces the concentration of CO_(2)in the atmosphere,but also has excellent industrial application value and up to 100%atom utilization,but there are difficulties in separation and recovery of traditional homogeneous catalysts,harsh reaction conditions of traditional heterogeneous catalysts,and activation of CO_(2)*** this paper,an easily synthesized heterogeneous catalyst CeNCl/C was used to catalyze the cycloaddition reaction of CO_(2)with styrene oxide,with a high yield of 92.7%,a high selectivity of 96.7%,a turnover numbers(TON)value of 349,and a good stability demonstrated in six cycle tests(equivalent to 216 h of testing).Through comprehensive studies,it was shown that CeNCl/C contains Lewis acid-base centers as active centers,which can effectively reduce the energy barrier required for ring opening of the reaction substrate,enhance the adsorption and activation of CO_(2),and promote the formation of intermediates,which led to the acquisition of excellent catalytic activity.

The southeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(SMQTP)is of a typical large landslide-prone area due to intense tectonic activity,deeply incised valleys,high geostress and frequent *** gain insights into large landslides in southeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,an area covering 3.34×105 km2 that extends 80e150 km on both sides of the Sichuan-Tibet traffic corridors(G318)was used to examine the spatial distribution and corresponding characteristics of *** results showed that the study area contains at least 629 large landslides that are mainly concentrated on 7 zones(zones IeVII).Zones IeVII are in the southern section of the Longmenshan fault zone(with no large river)and sections with Dadu River,Jinsha River,Lancang River,Nujiang River and Yarlung Zangbo *** are more landslides in the Jinsha River section(totaling 186 landslides)than the other *** to the updated Varnes classification,408 large landslides(64.9%)were recognized and divided into 4 major types,***(275 cases),slides(58 cases),topples(44 cases)and slope deformations(31 cases).Flows,which consist of rock avalanches and iceerock avalanches,are the most common landslide *** landslide triggers(178 events,28.3%)are also recognized,and earthquakes may be the most common *** to the limited data,these landslide type classifications and landslide triggers are perhaps immature,and further systematic analysis is needed.

A company's heat exchanger began operation in mid-July 2022. Heat exchanger tube medium for river water, the design pressure is 1.0MPa, working pressure is 0.4MPa;The inlet temperature is 34°C, and the outlet temperature is 40°C. The material of pipe path is S31603(GB/T 13296-2013), and the specification is 16-1.5mm. The shell medium of the heat exchanger is syngas (hydrogen, methane, nitrogen, ammonia, etc.), the design pressure is 8.0MPa, the working pressure is 7.5MPa, the inlet temperature is 156.6°C, the outlet temperature is 42°C. In February 2023, a large amount of pungent gas was discharged when the return water of the heat exchanger pipe was drained. The sample was analyzed for syngas composition. On February 10, 2023, Quansheng planned to shut down the system to eliminate defects. After opening the heat exchanger, serious scaling was found. The failure analysis of the heat exchanger tube was carried out, and it was found that the physicochemical and mechanical properties of the heat exchanger tube (S31603 material, 16-1.5mm) were qualified and in line with the material standard GB/T 13296-2013. The main reason for the heat exchanger pipe cracking is that the running medium uses river water, river water contains more impurities and high sulfur oxygen content, in the inner wall of the pipe scaling generation of polysulfuric acid;There is a certain residual stress in pipe manufacture, which results in stress corrosion of polysulphuric acid. © 2023 The Authors.

Chemical industry is of importance in China both strategically and economically, which plays a key role, whereas chemical products are usually harmful. In light of this, their transportation must be ensured to be safe. In this work, the leakage of the emergency shut-off valve and the sealing surface of a tank body for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride is investigated, through which the reason causing the leakage is analyzed systematically in order to make a reasonable emergency response, aiming to minimize personnel and property losses. The results of this study can provide referred emergency response for the equipment of the same type, which is helpful in reducing the leakage probability in the daily usage and management. © 2023 SPIE.

Images captured under different exposure conditions may contain both over- and under-exposures. Existing methods mainly focus on addressing over- or under-exposure problem in images. In this paper, we introduce an effective Region-aware Half Wavelet Attention Exposure Correction Network (RHECNet). Specifically, we introduce a region-based feature extraction module that effectively converts the region features in the mixed exposure scene into feature space, which is invariant to exposure. Besides, as incorrect exposure inevitably reduces structure information, we introduce an attention restoration block based on wavelet domain features. It combines exposure-invariant features with those extracted from the wavelet domain to restore structural information. RHECNet has competitive performance results on two image exposure Correction datasets in terms of quantitative metrics and visual quality. © 2024 IEEE.
