In order to effectively and widely use low-rank coal and biomassBiomass, the co-extracted product was extracted from GL(Guole) coal and biomassBiomass by polar solvent N-2-methyl-2-purrolidinone (NMP) at high temperature and high pressure. The structures of the co-extracted product and residues were characterized by element analysis and XPS analysis. The effects of temperatures, solid–liquid ratio, and extraction time on the extraction yieldsExtraction yield of co-extracted products were studied. Moreover, the extraction mechanism of the co-extracted product at mild conditions is proposed. The results show that the ash contents of the co-extracted products from GL coal and biomassBiomass are significantly lower than GL coal, and the volatile contents and H/C are significantly improved. For GL coal, with the increase of biomassBiomass/coal ratio, the extraction yieldExtraction yield of GL is improved evidently from 56.25% to 71.44% and the ash content is decreased from 0.68% to 0.59% at suitable conditions. © The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society 2025.

With an exponential increase in submissionsto top-tier Computer science (CS) conferences, more and more conferences have introduced a rebuttal stage to the conference peer review process. The rebuttal stage can be modeled as social interactions between authors and reviewers. A successful rebuttal often results in an increased review score after the rebuttal stage. In this paper, we conduct an empirical study to determine the factors contributing to a successful rebuttal using over 3000 papers and 13,000 reviews from ICLR2022, one of the most prestigious computer science conferences. First, we observe a significant difference in review scores before and after the rebuttal stage, which is crucial for paper acceptance. Furthermore, we investigate factors from the reviewer's perspective using signed social network analysis. A notable finding is the increase in balanced network structure after the rebuttal stage. Subsequently, we evaluate several quantifiable author rebuttal strategies and their effects on review scores. These strategies can help authors in improving their review scores. Finally, we used machine learning models to predict rebuttal success and validated the impact of potential factors analyzed in this paper. Our experiments demonstrate that the utilization of all features proposed in this study can aid in predicting the success of the rebuttal. In summary, this work presents a study on the impact factors of successful rebuttals from both reviewers’ and authors’ perspectives and lays the foundation for analyzing rebuttals with social network analysis. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

Automated Graphical User Interface (GUI) testing plays a crucial role in ensuring app quality, especially as mobile applications have become an integral part of our daily lives. Despite the growing popularity of learning-based techniques in automated GUI testing due to their ability to generate human-like interactions, they still suffer from several limitations, such as low testing coverage, inadequate generalization capabilities, and heavy reliance on training data. Inspired by the success of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT in natural language understanding and question answering, we formulate the mobile GUI testing problem as a Q&A task. We propose GPTDroid, asking LLM to chat with the mobile apps by passing the GUI page information to LLM to elicit testing scripts, and executing them to keep passing the app feedback to LLM, iterating the whole process. Within this framework, we have also introduced a functionality-aware memory prompting mechanism that equips the LLM with the ability to retain testing knowledge of the whole process and conduct long-term, functionality-based reasoning to guide exploration. We evaluate it on 93 apps from Google Play and demonstrate that it outperforms the best baseline by 32% in activity coverage, and detects 31% more bugs at a faster rate. Moreover, GPTDroid identifies 53 new bugs on Google Play, of which 35 have been confirmed and fixed. © 2024 ACM.

Micro-expressions may occur in high-stake situations when people attempt to conceal or suppress their true feelings. Nowadays, intelligent micro-expression analysis has long been focused on videos captured under constrained laboratory conditions. This is due to the relatively small number of publicly available datasets. Moreover, micro-expression characteristics are subtle and brief, and thus very susceptible to interference from external factors and difficult to capture. In particular, head movement is unavoidable in unconstrained scenarios, making micro-expression spotting highly challenging. This paper proposes a simple yet effective method for avoiding the interference of head movement on micro-expression spotting in natural scenarios by considering three-dimensional space. In particular, based on the head pose, which can be mapped to two-dimensional vectors (translations and rotations) for representation, long and complex videos could be divided into short video segments that basically exclude head movement interference. Following that, segmented micro-expression spotting is realized based on an effective short-segment-based micro-expression spotting algorithm. Experimental results on in-the-wild databases demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method in avoiding head movement interference. Additionally, due to the simplicity of this method, it creates opportunities for spotting micro-expressions in real-world scenarios, possibly even in real-time. Furthermore, it helps alleviate the small sample size problem in micro-expression analysis by boosting the spotting performance in massive unlabeled videos. © 2023 Owner/Author.

The operating arm of rectangular coordinate robot is the key component to perform tasks. Its vibration characteristics have an important impact on the operation accuracy and work efficiency of the robot, so it is worth studying and analysing. Based on the deformation displacement relationship of robot operating arm under different time states, this paper proposed the kinematic description method of radial motion of operating arm, and established the dynamic control model of radial motion operating arm by using Hamilton variational principle and modal superposition method. This model focused on the relationship between the driving acceleration, load mass and the vibration characteristics of the operating arm. Through the analytical calculation and finite element analysis of the dynamic model, the influence of these two factors on the vibration amplitude, modal frequency and other modal characteristics of the robot operating arm were explored respectively.
