Thinking space came into being with the emergence of human civilization. With the emergence and development of cyberspace, the interaction between those two spaces began to take place. In the collision of thinking and technology, new changes have taken place in both thinking space and cyberspace. To this end, this paper divides the current integration and development of thinking space and cyberspace into three stages, namely Internet of brain(IoB), Internet of thought(IoTh), and Internet of thinking(IoTk). At each stage, the contents and technologies to achieve convergence and connection of spaces are discussed. Besides, the Internet of creation(IoC) is proposed to represent the future development of thinking space and cyberspace. Finally, a series of open issues are raised, and they will become thorny factors in the development of the Io C stage.

Effective user authentication is key to ensuring equipment security,data privacy,and personalized services in Internet of Things(IoT)***,conventional mode-based authentication methods(e.g.,passwords and smart cards)may be vulnerable to a broad range of attacks(e.g.,eavesdropping and side-channel attacks).Hence,there have been attempts to design biometric-based authentication solutions,which rely on physiological and behavioral *** characteristics need continuous monitoring and specific environmental settings,which can be challenging to implement in ***,we can also leverage Artificial Intelligence(AI)in the extraction and classification of physiological characteristics from IoT devices processing to facilitate ***,we review the literature on the use of AI in physiological characteristics recognition pub-lished after *** use the three-layer architecture of the IoT(i.e.,sensing layer,feature layer,and algorithm layer)to guide the discussion of existing approaches and their *** also identify a number of future research opportunities,which will hopefully guide the design of next generation solutions.

CDCAT: A Multi-Language Cross-Document Entity and Event Coreference Annotation Tool

A tool for the manual annotation of cross-document entity and event coreferences that helps annotators to label mention coreference relations in text is essential for the annotation of coreference corpora. To the best of our knowledge, CROss-document Main Events and entities Recognition(CROMER) is the only open-source manual annotation tool available for cross-document entity and event coreferences. However, CROMER lacks multi-language support and extensibility. Moreover, to label cross-document mention coreference relations, CROMER requires the support of another intra-document coreference annotation tool known as Content Annotation Tool, which is now unavailable. To address these problems, we introduce Cross-Document Coreference Annotation Tool(CDCAT), a new multi-language open-source manual annotation tool for cross-document entity and event coreference, which can handle different input/output formats, preprocessing functions, languages, and annotation systems. Using this new tool, annotators can label a reference relation with only two mouse clicks. Best practice analyses reveal that annotators can reach an annotation speed of 0.025 coreference relations per second on a corpus with a coreference density of 0.076 coreference relations per word. As the first multi-language open-source cross-document entity and event coreference annotation tool, CDCAT can theoretically achieve higher annotation efficiency than CROMER.

Disassembling is a necessary step for vulnerability mining or deep understanding of the operating mechanism of firmware. When disassembling firmware, the image base of the firmware need to be determined first, but the image base usually cannot be obtained directly. Given the widespread use of ARM processors in embedded systems, a method is proposed to determine the range of the firmware image base by targeting ARM firmware. First, the addresses loaded by the LDR instruction in the firmware are obtained, and then these addresses are deduplicated, sorted, and segmented to calculate the cumulative frequency. Then, the rapidly rising segment in the cumulative frequency curve is considered as the range of image base. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively determine the range of image base for firmware that uses LDR instruction to load address. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The sole use of single modality data often fails to capture the complex heterogeneity among patients,including the variability in resistance to anti-HER2 therapy and outcomes of combined treatment regimens,for the treatment of HER2-positive gastric cancer(GC).This modality deficit has not been fully considered in many ***,the application of artificial intelligence in predicting the treatment response,particularly in complex diseases such as GC,is still in its ***,this study aimed to use a comprehensive analytic approach to accurately predict treatment responses to anti-HER2 therapy or anti-HER2 combined immunotherapy in patients with HER2-positive *** collected multi-modal data,comprising radiology,pathology,and clinical information from a cohort of 429 patients:310 treated with anti-HER2 therapy and 119 treated with a combination of anti-HER2 and anti-PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors *** introduced a deep learning model,called the Multi-Modal model(MuMo),that integrates these data to make precise treatment response *** achieved an area under the curve score of 0.821 for anti-HER2 therapy and 0.914 for combined ***,patients classified as low-risk by MuMo exhibited significantly prolonged progression-free survival and overall survival(log-rank test,P<0.05).These findings not only highlight the significance of multi-modal data analysis in enhancing treatment evaluation and personalized medicine for HER2-positive gastric cancer,but also the potential and clinical value of our model.

The pervasiveness of the smart Internet of Things(IoTs) enables many electric sensors and devices to be connected and generates a large amount of dataflow. Compared with traditional big data, the streaming dataflow is faced with representative challenges, such as high speed, strong variability, rough continuity, and demanding timeliness, which pose severe tests of its efficient management. In this paper, we provide an overall review of IoT dataflow management. We first analyze the key challenges faced with IoT dataflow and initially overview the related techniques in dataflow management, spanning dataflow sensing, mining, control, security, privacy protection,etc. Then, we illustrate and compare representative tools or platforms for IoT dataflow management. In addition,promising application scenarios, such as smart cities, smart transportation, and smart manufacturing, are elaborated,which will provide significant guidance for further research. The management of IoT dataflow is also an important area, which merits in-depth discussions and further study.

The shield machine (SM) is a complex mechanical device used for tunneling. However, the monitoring and deciding were mainly done by artificial experience during traditional construction, which brought some limitations, such as hidden mechanical failures, human operator error, and sensor anomalies. To deal with these challenges, many scholars have studied SM intelligent methods. Most of these methods only take SM into account but do not consider the SM operating environment. So, this paper discussed the relationship among SM, geological information, and control terminals. Then, according to the relationship, models were established for the control terminal tasks, including SM rate prediction and SM anomaly detection. The experimental results show that compared with baseline models, the proposed model in this paper perform better. In the proposed model, the R2 and MSE of rate prediction can reach 92.2%, and 0.0064 respectively. The abnormal data detection rate of the anomaly detection task is up to 98.2%. QCG-Rerank: Chunks Graph Rerank with Query Expansion in Retrieval-Augmented LLMs for Tourism Domain

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) mitigates the issue of hallucination in Large Language Models (LLMs) by integrating information retrieval techniques. However, in the tourism domain, since the query is usually brief and the content in the database is diverse, existing RAG may contain a significant amount of irrelevant or contradictory information contents after retrieval. To address this challenge, we propose the QCG-Rerank model. This model first performs an initial retrieval to obtain candidate chunks and then enhances semantics by extracting critical information to expand the original query. Next, we utilize the expanded query and candidate chunks to calculate similarity scores as the initial transition probability and construct the chunks graph. Subsequently, We iteratively compute the transition probabilities based on an initial estimate until convergence. The chunks with the highest score are selected and input into the LLMs to generate responses. We evaluate the model on Cultour, IIRC, StrategyQA, HotpotQA, SQuAD, and MuSiQue datasets. The proposal of Six Degrees of Separation makes people realize that the world is not as big as we imagined. Even if the world’s population now exceeds 7 billion, two strangers can still get in touch through a limited intermediary. When online social networks have taken the world by storm, can people connect through shorter distances? This issue is worth thinking about. This paper describes Six Degrees of Separation and the limitations of this theory in practical applications. Combined with online social networks, the paper analyzes the development and change of the degrees of connection between people. Finally, the paper considers the actual coverage of online social networks and other issues, and rationalizes the possible degrees of the future Six Degrees of Separation.
