We consider a rescheduling problem of the unrelated parallel machines under machine *** is triggered whenever machine breakdowns and repairs occur(i.e.,a rescheduling point arrives).At each rescheduling point,we establish a multi-objective mathematical model where the makespan is considered as an efficiency measure and stability is gauged in terms of the sum of deviation in completion times of jobs in the previous and new ***,we develop an improved dynamic NSGA-II to fast-track non-dominated solutions,where a population re-initialization strategy is used to effectively respond to machine breakdowns and *** experiments were conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

This paper proposes a dual-threaded blockchain-based architecture to detect large-scale intelligent network abnormalities. Anomaly detection is then implemented using an adaptive encoder. The simulation results show that the proposed anomaly detection scheme achieves efficient anomaly detection while reducing latency and improving throughput.

OneRel: Joint Entity and Relation Extraction with One Module in One Step

Joint entity and relation extraction is an essential task in natural language processing and knowledge graph construction. Existing approaches usually decompose the joint extraction task into several basic modules or processing steps to make it easy to conduct. However, such a paradigm ignores the fact that the three elements of a triple are interdependent and indivisible. Therefore, previous joint methods suffer from the problems of cascading errors and redundant information. To address these issues, in this paper, we propose a novel joint entity and relation extraction model, named OneRel, which casts joint extraction as a fine-grained triple classification problem. Specifically, our model consists of a scoring-based classifier and a relation-specific horns tagging strategy. The former evaluates whether a token pair and a relation belong to a factual triple. The latter ensures a simple but effective decoding process. Extensive experimental results on two widely used datasets demonstrate that the proposed method performs better than the state-of-the-art baselines, and delivers consistent performance gain on complex scenarios of various overlapping patterns and multiple triples. © 2022, CC BY.

Ask to Understand: Question Generation for Multi-hop Question Answering

Multi-hop Question Answering (QA) requires the machine to answer complex questions by finding scattering clues and reasoning from multiple documents. Graph Network (GN) and Question Decomposition (QD) are two common approaches at present. The former uses the "black-box" reasoning process to capture the potential relationship between entities and sentences, thus achieving good performance. At the same time, the latter provides a clear reasoning logical route by decomposing multi-hop questions into simple single-hop sub-questions. In this paper, we propose a novel method to complete multi-hop QA from the perspective of Question Generation (QG). Specifically, we carefully design an end-to-end QG module on the basis of a classical QA module, which could help the model understand the context by asking inherently logical sub-questions, thus inheriting interpretability from the QD-based method and showing superior performance. Experiments on the HotpotQA dataset demonstrate that the effectiveness of our proposed QG module, human evaluation further clarifies its interpretability quantitatively, and thorough analysis shows that the QG module could generate better sub-questions than QD methods in terms of fluency, consistency, and diversity. Popular Secure Instant Messaging (SIM) applications like Telegram and WhatsApp have deployed state-of-the-art encryption schemes in recent years to protect the security of user communications. However, SIM applications are still not completely secure. Governments can surveil and censor users who participate in groups on sensitive topics based on the leaked information of their SIM clients. In this paper, we find two types of padding flaws in SIM applications where the padding length is not long enough, thereby exposing users' encrypted traffic characteristics. Furthermore, we first present an Active Text Traffic Analysis Attack (ATTAA) that enables the adversary to obtain sensitive information about target users' clients by merely monitoring their encrypted SIM traffic. Specifically, the adversary can quickly identify the participants of target SIM groups with high accuracy. Our study demonstrates a significant, real-world threat to SIM users due to increasing government regulation on social media. We demonstrate the practicality of our ATTAA through extensive experiments on real-world SIM communications. Although SIM applications have various restrictions on message sending, our results show that only ten text messages in 10 seconds are enough to successfully attack Telegram and WhatsApp with an accuracy of 99.94% and 98.66%, and a false positive rate of $4.3\times 10^{-3}$ and $1.5\times 10^{-4}$ .

To address the problem of aeroengine PID parameter optimization and tuning, this work employs the excellent performance of the sparrow search algorithm (SSA) with high convergence accuracy and fast convergence speed to propose a self-tuning PID control method (SSA-PID) for aeroengine parameters. Considering that the oil supply output by the actuator may have a substantial overshoot, the proposed technique adds a penalty mechanism for the overshoot at the output, designs and improves the fitness function weighted by performance indicators, and effectively avoids the possible excessive overshoot and sharp oil supply phenomenon of the engine oil supply. The SSA-PID simulates and verifies the mathematical models of the turbofan engine ' s steady-state operating points on the ground and at high altitudes. The results show that the SSA-PID control method has better parameter tuning and optimization effects, a faster speed step response, and generates a fuel supply that does not have a large overshoot, thereby proving its effectiveness and feasibility. © 2021 IEEE

This workshop challenges the dominant paradigms in Human-computer Interaction (HCI) by exploring the potential of indigeneity and culture to inform design methodologies. We invite participants to reflect on how such approaches can move HCI research toward more inclusive, culturally diverse, and mutually beneficial synergies. As for the problem of subjectivity and lack of scientificity in performance evaluation, the paper introduces a RPC model with cube Bézier curve being principal curve, and designs the learning algorithm of Bézier curve. First, evaluation indicators are chosen using Pearson correlation coefficient, RPC two-dimensional projection is conducted on relevant data and the ranking result of multiple indicator observation data is obtained. The experiment is done with the performance data of 12345 hotline telephone operators in one month of 2019 in one district of beijing, and the ranking result is in line with the popular perception. The experimental result proves that as for the ranking in performance evaluation, RPC method is more scientific and interpretable than the method of weighted average and Elmap model. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Three-Dimensional (3D) dense captioning is an emerging vision-language bridging task that aims to generate multiple detailed and accurate descriptions for 3D scenes. It presents significant potential and challenges due to its closer representation of the real world compared to 2D visual captioning, as well as complexities in data collection and processing of 3D point cloud sources. Despite the popularity and success of existing methods, there is a lack of comprehensive surveys summarizing the advancements in this field, which hinders its progress. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of 3D dense captioning, covering task definition, architecture classification, dataset analysis, evaluation metrics, and in-depth prosperity discussions. Based on a synthesis of previous literature, we refine a standard pipeline that serves as a common paradigm for existing methods. We also introduce a clear taxonomy of existing models, summarize technologies involved in different modules, and conduct detailed experiment analysis. Instead of a chronological order introduction, we categorize the methods into different classes to facilitate exploration and analysis of the differences and connections among existing techniques. We also provide a reading guideline to assist readers with different backgrounds and purposes in reading efficiently. Furthermore, we propose a series of promising future directions for 3D dense captioning by identifying challenges and aligning them with the development of related tasks, offering valuable insights and inspiring future research in this field. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of 3D dense captioning, foster further investigations, and contribute to the development of novel applications in multimedia and related domains.
