The rapid development of high-end equipment in industries such as electric vehicles and high-speed industrial robots has increasingly high requirements for the dynamic performance, service life, stability, and other aspects of high-speed rolling bearings. The dynamic performance of the cage directly affects the stability of the bearings and even the entire unit. A dynamic model for the cage of rolling element bearings has been proposed. The effect of guidance type and guiding clearance on the dynamic stability of the cage has been discovered. Four indicators for evaluating the stability of the cage have been developed based on the whirling orbit of the cage and the transient skidding state of the bearing. The results indicate that there is a deviation in the optimal guidance clearance between the outer ring guidance and the inner ring guidance. Decreasing the guiding clearance in a certain range is beneficial for improving the stability of the cage.

The electric unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are rapidly growing due to their abilities to perform some difficult or dangerous tasks as well as many public services including real-time monitoring, wireless coverage, search and rescue, wildlife surveys, and precision agriculture. However, the electrochemical power supply system of UAV is a critical issue in terms of its energy/power densities and lifetime for service endurance. In this paper, the current power supply systems used in UAVs are comprehensively reviewed and analyzed on the existing power configurations and the energy management systems. It is identified that a single type of electrochemical power source is not enough to support a UAV to achieve a long-haul flight;hence, a hybrid power system architecture is necessary. To make use of the advantages of each type of power source to increase the endurance and achieve good performance of the UAVs, the hybrid systems containing two or three types of power sources (fuel cell,battery, solar cell, and supercapacitor,) have to be developed. In this regard, the selection of an appropriate hybrid power structure with the optimized energy management system is critical for the efficient operation of a UAV. It is found that the data-driven models with artificial intelligence (AI) are promising in intelligent energy management. This paper can provide insights and guidelines for future research and development into the design and fabrication of the advanced UAV power systems.

With the development of computer technology, people have higher and higher requirements for network link quality, which brings new challenges to network management and analysis. By applying link prediction to computer network scenarios, link existence information in the network can be predicted, which facilitates network management and analysis. At present, graph autoencoder is one of the most important models for link prediction. However, the existing model does not take node centrality into account and may have the problem of over-fitting. Therefore, for the scenario of network link state prediction, we design a network link prediction model based on node centrality and noise injection in this paper. In this model, noise is injected before training, and then the decoder is improved based on the variational graph autoencoder model. Node importance index and the weights of the trained nodes are used to add coefficients to the decoder. Finally, the model is proved to be effective in link connectivity prediction. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Silicone rubber materials are widely used as protective coatings in multiple fields. In this work, accelerated artificial aging tests of silicone rubber under different thermal and hygrothermal conditions were performed to better understand how temperature and humidity affected aging behavior and mechanism. It was noticed that due to the presence of oxygen molecules, the main chain of silicone rubber broke and produced free radicals, while water molecules brought hydrolysis reactions and produced silicone hydroxyl structures. Furthermore, computer aided molecular simulation was carried out to better understand the diffusion of small particles in silicone rubber materials, as well as to study how they affect the chain structure, providing support for the mechanism of aging. Finally, two lifespan prediction models were proposed respectively to determine the usage life of silicone rubber under certain temperature and humidity conditions, which provides guidance value for the use of silicone rubber. © 2024, The Authors. The traditional assembly equipment of tension link components has a degree of automation and few types of equipment, which have a greater impact on the assembly quality, assembly accuracy, and assembly efficiency of the linkage mechanism. This article firstly combines the current assembly status of the tension connecting rod components in my country and proposes a high-precision press-fitting method for connecting rods with continuous clamping, alignment, press-fitting, and pre-tightening actions. Secondly, an assembly platform for high-precision automatic press-fitting of tension connecting rods was developed and designed, and the structure design of the high-precision tension connecting rod press-fitting platform and the working principle of each module were explained, including a non-destructive clamping mechanism, a two-degree-of-freedom macro-motion platform, and vision alignment module, and other designs. Then through the assembly force experiment, the distribution of the bearing press-fitting force is obtained. The platform can increase the assembly coaxially of the 10mm inner bearing to within 5μm. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the increasing level of informatization and interconnection in the electric power system, the risk of external attacks on power systems is increasing. In response to the drawbacks of traditional static security assessment methods, this paper establishes two security metrics, which are voltage and power flow amplitude deviation security metric and power flow entropy security metric. Based on these security metrics, a dynamic security evaluation model that considers cascading failure is proposed. simulation results demonstrate that the proposed security metrics can effectively reflect the security of cascading failure propagation, thereby providing valuable insights for decision-making by power system operators. © 2023 IEEE.

Oxidized organic nitrogen (OON) serves as a crucial link between volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides, ozone, and secondary organic aerosol (SOA). However, the comprehension of the molecular composition, formation mechanism, and implications of OON remains limited, particularly in urban environments influenced heavily by anthropogenic emissions. This study presents the field measurements of OON conducted at an urban site in beijing using chemical ionization mass spectrometry with nitrate as the reagent ion. The molecular characteristics, dominant species, and oxidation states of OON were investigated. Positive matrix factorization analysis disentangled the diverse OON into factors characterized by unique fingerprint features and formation pathways. A modified workflow was used to classify the majority of OON as terpene (3.0 %), isoprene (15.2 %), aliphatic (38.1 %, containing dinitrate), and aromatic (36.0 %, containing aromatic ring retaining) OON. This highlights the significant impact of anthropogenic sources and underscores the need for stringent controls on anthropogenic VOC emissions to mitigate OON formation. Volatility estimates further indicate that aromatic and aliphatic OON, with relatively low volatility, are expected to be the primary contributors to SOA formation by condensation or gas-particle partitioning in urban beijing. In addition, hazy weather conditions may facilitate multi-generation reactions, leading to the production of large amounts of semi-volatile dinitrate OON and promoting its conversion to SOA. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

Vehicle platoon is one of the concrete manifestations of multi-vehicle cooperative control and intelligent transportation. However, the velocity perturbation in the driving process will bring about stability and safety problems. The connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs) can obtain the motion status of the lead vehicle in real time and respond to it in time, which is of far-reaching significance to platoon control. Based on this, this paper focuses on the longitudinal driving strategy of connected autonomous vehicle platoons. Specifically, we provide a discrete double-integral model controller for each vehicle in a generic scenario, and the controller performs acceleration and deceleration control at each timeslot according to the state of the vehicle in front and its own state. simulation experiments are designed by varying the size of the platoon and the number of connected autonomous vehicles. The experimental results show that the introduction of connected autonomous vehicles can effectively suppress the platoon velocity perturbation, increase the stability of the platoon driving, and significantly reduce the fuel consumption at the same time.

The characteristics of the stator inter-Turn short circuit fault of induction motor under light load conditions are inconspicuous, which may cause difficulty in fault diagnosis. To address this, a fault diagnosis method based on multiple signal decomposition and reconstruction is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, the DC link current signal is selected to obtain obvious the characteristics of the stator inter-Turn short circuit fault. In the event of the stator inter-Turn short circuit fault, the fault characteristic frequency of the DC side current is derived. Then, the fault characteristic frequency extraction is realized based on multiple signal decomposition and reconstruction, such as Hilbert transform, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD), the signal reconstruction, the variational mode decomposition (VMD). With this, the fault diagnosis for the stator inter-Turn short circuit fault of induction motor is achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by simulations and hardware-in-The-loop testing. © 2023 IEEE.
