As the key power source of train traction system, the safety and reliability of traction asynchronous motor operation is crucial. To improve the efficiency of vehicle maintenance, online monitoring of the working state of traction asynchronous motors has received increasing attention. This paper proposes a diagnosis algorithm based on the combination of coordinate transformation and support vector machine for traction asynchronous motors. Firstly, coordinate transformation can convert power frequency components into direct flow, facilitating the extraction of fault features. Then, from the perspective of data driven, this paper collects historical fault data under varying operating conditions and loads, and designs an intelligent fault diagnosis framework. Finally, a fault recognition classifier is trained based on support vector machines to identify stator inter turn short circuit and rotor bar breakage faults of traction asynchronous motors, and to guide accurate vehicle maintenance. © 2023 IEEE.

It is a great challenge to develop membrane materials with high performance and long durability for acidalkaline amphoteric water ***,the graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))nanosheets were compounded with the(2,2'-m-phenylene)-5,5'-benzimidazole(m-PBI)matrix for the preparation of m-PBI/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite *** synthesis of g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets and m-PBI matrix have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscoy(TEM)and ^(1)H nuclear magnetic resonance spectra(^(1)H NMR),*** fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and SEM of the composite membranes showed the g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets were well dispersed in the m-PBI/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite *** mechanical properties test exhibited the good mechanical strength,and the TGA curves of m-PBI showed the high thermal stability of composite ***,the m-PBI/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite membrane showed excellent proton and hydroxide ion conductivity,which was higher than pure m-PBI and Nafion 115 *** acid-alkaline amphoteric water electrolysis test showed m-PBI/1%g-C_(3)N_(4) composite membrane has the best performance with a current density of 800 mA cm^(-2) at cell voltage of 1.98 V at 20℃.It showed that m-PBI/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite membrane has a good application prospect for acid-alkaline amphoteric water electrolysis.

High voltage circuit breakers (HVCBs) in the gas insulated switch gear (GIS) play an important role in the control and protection of power system. The mechanical faults account for the largest part of common faults in HVCBs. This paper establishes the rigid-flexible model of a 550 kV GIS HVCB, and experimentally studies the behavior characteristics of the HVCB under mechanical fault situation. Firstly, the fine 3D structure model of the 550 kV GIS HVCB is built and the arc-extinguishing principle of the HVCB is analyzed. Then, the rigid model and the rigid-flexible coupling model of the HVCB’s components and the whole system are established. The vibration signals of the two models are simulated and compared based on the finite element method. The component model mainly consists of the static arc contact and the dynamic arc contact. Furthermore, the mechanical fault is artificially set in the HVCB, and the vibration waveform are obtained. Finally, the simulation data is compared with the experimental results and the fault characteristics are analyzed. This research realizes the modeling, simulation and measurement of HVCB dynamic characteristics, which is of great significance to the diagnosis and prevention of HVCB mechanical faults.

High corrosion resistance of alloys is essential for their structural applications;however,most alloys suffer from degradation of their corrosion resistance with the increasing acidity of their ***,we developed a series of medium-entropy alloys(MEAs)in this work,which ex-hibit high strength,superior fracture toughness and ultra-high corrosion resistance,outperforming the variety of corrosion resistant alloys hitherto *** interestingly,our MEAs exhibit an unusual anti-corrosion behavior and their corrosion resistance increases with acidity in Cl−containing *** extensive thermodynamic calculations,density functional theory(DFT)simulations and experi-ments,we reveal that the unusual anti-corrosion behavior of our MEAs can be attributed to their surface chemical complexity,which facilitates the physio-chemical-absorption of H_(2)O and O_(2)and thus the rapid formation of metastable medium entropy passive films that contain the lowest amount of defects,as compared to the passive films on conventional alloys reported in the literature.

New-Type Power system Stabilizers (NPSS) for Damping Wideband Oscillations in Converter-Dominated Power systems

Traditionally, synchronous generators are equipped with power system stabilizers (PSSs) to stabilize electromechanical low-frequency oscillations (LFOs). With increasing applications of converter-based devices in modern power systems, system-wide control interactions between different converter-based devices are causing more prevalent electromagnetic wide-band oscillations (WBOs). Extensive research has been done on design, application, and standardization of classical PSSs for addressing LFOs associated with synchronous generators. However, little attention is given to same for converter-based devices as a countermeasure to electromagnetic WBOs. This paper proposes a concept of utilizing new-type power system stabilizers (NPSSs) specifically designed to address WBOs caused by converter-control interactions in modern converter-dominated power systems. The article puts forward various design strategies, tuning methods, and implementation techniques of the NPSSs to counteract WBOs. The NPSSs are not limited to inverter-based resources (type-3/4 wind turbines); they can also be applied to other converter-based devices such as FACTS controllers, HVDC links, battery storage inverters, etc. We present several application scenarios demonstrating the importance of supplementing NPSSs in converter-based devices. Furthermore, the paper highlights current research challenges and opportunities in designing and implementing NPSS for various converter-based devices, providing a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art and future directions in this area.

In order to improve the scheduling flexibility of grid connected wind power generation system, it is necessary to apply energy storage technology, and the main key technology of energy storage system is how to determine the capacity configuration of energy storage system. Using the individual advantages of superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES), battery energy storage and hydrogen storage, the capacity is configured, which is an energy management strategy based on the principle of meeting the load power shortage rate and improving the overall economy of the energy storage system. According to the whole life cycle cost theory, the annual average cost function expression of energy storage device is established, and the optimal allocation model of energy storage capacity is proposed with the minimum value of the function as the goal and the operation indices such as load shortage rate as constraints. An example is calculated by using the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm to verify the correctness, effectiveness and stability of the optimization model and algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

Persistent severe smog and dust weather exists in many regions of *** accu-mulate on the surface of high‐voltage transmission lines,which affects the surface morphology of the transmission line and induces corona *** work mainly studies the influence of electric field and photocatalysis on the corona characteristics of transmission *** this work,plasma spraying is used to prepare a dense,smooth and excellent photocatalytic TiO_(2)coating on the surface of transmission *** electron microscope and a white light interference profilometer is used to study the surface condition of the *** variation in the surface condition of the samples is observed under different fouling,light time and electric field *** corona characteristics of power transmission lines under different surface conditions are *** results show that light and applied electric field promote the photocatalytic effect of TiO_(2),which helps to decompose the contamination on the surface of power transmission wires and thus reduce the corona discharge of transmission *** increase in corona inception voltage reduces the corona current pulse repetition rate and the ion current density during corona discharge.
