Considering the susceptibility of planetary transmission to strong noise interference, a fault diagnosis method is proposed based on Morlet wavelet transform and 1D Convolutional Neural Network (1DCNN). Firstly, the acceleration captured from the transmission is dealt with angle resampling to reduce the dependence of speed on signal characteristics, and band-pass filtering is performed, which parameter is determined by using the fast spectral kurtosis algorithm. Subsequently, the filtered data is decomposed into several multiple intrinsic mode function (IMF) components with the EEMD algorithm and reconstructed according to the correlation coefficient parameter. Then reconstructed data is subjected to further noise reduction processing using wavelet transform and the amplitude in the scale parameter with the highest kurtosis as the input to 1DCNN for training and fault diagnosis classification. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce noise interference, the fault diagnosis accuracy of the processed data is relatively high. The fault diagnosis accuracy of the processed data is significantly higher than that of the raw data. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

The need for assistive devices such as lower limb exoskeletons is steadily growing, making quick and precise gait recognition essential for optimal operation of these apparatuses. The knowledge distillation method was applied to gait recognition in this work. First, we took participant lower limb gait data, which we then resampled with step frequency taken into account. Next, multi-layer perceptron (MLP) with distinct layers were modeled by educators and students. The process of knowledge distillation was used to improve the accuracy of participant activity recognition by transferring knowledge from the sophisticated teacher model to the lightweight student model. On the training set, the teacher model's accuracy average was 96.4%. Following the process of knowledge distillation, the accuracy of the student model was 95.48%, representing a 1.12% improvement compared to the non-distilled model, with only 0.53M parameters and shorter training duration. The results demonstrate that knowledge distillation can improve the recognition speed and stability of gait recognition models, enabling more accurate and reliable results within the same patient population, thus providing more effective support for medical diagnosis and rehabilitation treatment. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

In order to achieve accurate segmentation of gait phases for precise real-time control of lower limb exoskeleton robots, the periodic statistical analysis of human motion posture by using the inertial measurement unit is conducted. In current research, the data of forward and turning gait types were acquired and every gait type data were devised into eight for different gait phase segmentation. During the process, the phase division values for different types of subjects were calculated and the phase division of different subjects with the same gait type was calculated. The standard deviations for different gaits and phases for the same experimenter are all below 10, primarily oscillated around 4. For gait data from different subjects, the percentages at the same phase are all below 3. The results showed that the results from the feasible method could better accord with the characteristics of each stage of actual *** those results could provide reference for real-time judgment of gait phase and technical support for intelligent control of lower limb exoskeletons. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

Gait recognition refers to the process of realizing the detection of human identity or health status and other information according to the characteristics of human plantar pressure, video images or human dynamics indicators. With the advantages of non-contact, non-aggression, no need for cooperation and easy to collect, gait recognition technology has been widely used in recent years in the field of public security criminal investigation, medical care, intelligent transportation and other fields. In this study, to meet the needs of gait recognition, IMU sensors are used to acquire human lower limb motion posture data and wavelet transform is used to decompose several components. Then the components were determined and the optimized 1DCNN model is used to carry out gait recognition research. The results showed that the optimized 1DCNN model for gait recognition task exhibits excellent performance with up to 95% accuracy, 96% recall and Fl value, as well as good computational efficiency, which is valuable for clinical automatic gait recognition analysis, rehabilitation engineering and criminal investigation work. Although there are some errors in some gait classifications, our study provides directions for further optimization of the algorithm to improve the accuracy and robustness of gait recognition. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

This paper proposes a modified iterative learning control(MILC)periodical feedback-feedforward algorithm to reduce the vibration of a rotor caused by coupled unbalance and parallel *** control of the vibration of the rotor is provided by an active magnetic actuator(AMA).The iterative gain of the MILC algorithm here presented has a self-adjustment based on the magnitude of the *** filters are adopted to extract the synchronous(1×Ω)and twice rotational frequency(2×Ω)components of the rotor *** the notch frequency of the filter and the size of feedforward storage used during the experiment have a real-time adaptation to the rotational *** method proposed in this work can provide effective suppression of the vibration of the rotor in case of sudden changes or fluctuations of the rotor *** and experiments using the MILC algorithm proposed here are carried out and give evidence to the feasibility and robustness of the technique proposed.

In practical engineering, it is usually difficult to label monitoring data, and the fault diagnosis accuracy is not high in strong noise environment. To solve the above problems, this paper uses Cwt-CatGAN method to process signals and diagnose faults. In this method, CWT is first used to convert one-dimensional original vibration signals into two-dimensional time–frequency graphs as the input of classification generation admixture network. Then, the CatGAN model is obtained through the adversarial training process, and fake samples similar to the extraction distribution of CWT are generated. Finally, the input samples are clustered into certain categories. In addition, the performance of the Cwt-CatGAN method is verified by using the classical rotating machine data set, the experiment is compared with the unsupervised fault diagnosis model CatAAE. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Currently, a large number of community integrated energy systems operate independently and lack coordination and cooperation with each other. On the whole, the complementary coupling potential between energy production and consumption has not been fully explored, which is not conducive to the efficient utilization of clean energy. To solve the above problem, this paper proposes an optimal scheduling model of community integrated energy system considering integrated demand response and carbon tax. Moreover, based on cooperative game theory, this paper adopts the Sharpley value to achieve fair and reasonable distribution of cooperation profits. The case study results indicate that the energy sharing model proposed in this article can achieve better economic benefits. © 2023 IEEE.

To achieve the economic operation of a multi-energy micro grid under multiple uncertain environments, this study introduces a novel two-stage robust scheduling approach, encompassing both day-ahead planning and real-time adjustments. First, the multi-energy micro grid day-ahead economic dispatch model is constructed based on the prediction scenarios, and integrated demand response is considered to increase the flexibility of the system. Afterwards, the strategy is adjusted in the real-time phase, considering the uncertainty of energy production and consumption. The Column-and-Constraint Generation algorithm is employed to resolve the above two-stage issues effectively, and the optimal economic operation strategy of the MEMG is obtained. Finally, a case study demonstrates the economy and robustness of the proposed methodology. © 2024 IEEE.

The demand for flexible shielding has been rapidly growing in recent *** materials using solid metals,carbon materials,or MXenes as shielding units usually have difficulty in combining high shielding and flexibility(stretching and bending characteristics),and thus they gradually fail to meet the shielding needs of flexible ***,shielding materials with both flexibility and high conductivity are urgent to fill this ***-based room temperature liquid metal(LM)is an emerging functional material with a low melting point,low viscosity,low modulus,and easy ***,due to wettability and compatibility issues,it is difficult to apply bulk LMs directly in the field of electromagnetic shielding(EMS).The article reviews the fabrication methods,performance,and applications of LMs EMS materials from three perspectives:Macroscopic LMs,micro/nano-LMs,and LM-based *** gallium-based liquid EMS materials demonstrate the characteristics of high shielding performance with stretchability and a wide shielding *** this review,different types of gallium-based LM materials are described from macroscopic to microscopic,from liquid to semi-solid,from high density to low density,from room temperature to ultra-low temperature,and from monolayer structure to multilayer *** prospect of LM materials as amorphous high-performance EMS materials is demonstrated in various applications,such as mobile communication,astronomical observation,radar,and medical detection,showing tremendous potential in the EMS field.

In the field of railway transportation, with the continuous improvement of train running speed and the continuous increase of operating mileage, it becomes particularly important to ensure the safety and integrity of small-Target infrastructure along the railway train. Although many small-Target detection methods have been proposed, the research on small-Target infrastructure detection along rail trains is very rare. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a small-Target infrastructure detection network with spatial tracking and multi-level feature extraction based on Yolov8n. The experimental results show that ST-YOLO has a 3.6% mAP improvement on the OSDaR23 dataset compared to the baseline Yolov8n, and shows significant advantages over other state-of-The-Art methods. © 2024 IEEE.
