Simultaneous Localization and Mapping is an important technology which help a mobile robot to determine its location and build the environment map. Recently, the RGBD sensor is widely used in the robot, research on RGBD-SLAM becomes a hot topic. In order to calculate the movement parameters of robot, feature matching is adopted to register the two adjacent RGBD images in the video stream. This paper proposed an improved feature matching method for RGBDSLAM. The experiment results show that, compared with the traditional SIFT feature matching methods for RGBD-SLAM,the performance of the proposed method is improved significantly.

As soft errors become a significant threat to modern electronic systems, the first priority of protection against soft errors should be decreasing resource consumption. This brief proposes a novel low-overhead fault tolerant FFT design, combining modified reduced precision redundancy (RPR) method and error correction codes (ECCs). RPR can lower the hardware overhead when compared with traditional full-precision redundancy techniques, especially when resource of the original design is huge. ECCs are cost-efficient for achieving fault tolerance on our parallel-pipelined FFT. As an example, an FPGA implementation of a four-channel 16K-point FFT is presented, which demonstrates that the proposed scheme can further reduce the overhead of fault tolerance designs.

As serial date rates migrate to 10Gbps and beyond, the list of signal integrity(SI) concerns and pitfalls grows. This paper focuses the design of SI of 10G serial link on OpenVPX system, and the research of the corresponding design and optimization methods based on passive design of 10Gbps high speed serial link. Combined pre-emphasis and equalization, the design enhances the quality of full link, reduces the bit error rate, and ensures accurate transmission of 10Gbps serial signal, with margin left for system operation. With simulation and testing, the methods are verified to be accurate and feasible in this paper.

In this paper, we demonstrate an achievable implementation of Doppler parameters estimation engine. Taking advantage of FPGA, a highly parallelized and reconfigurable structure with a unified calculation is adopted. We build a prototype using single off-the-shelf Xilinx XC6VSX315T FPGA to verify the proposed method in a 16384 ×16384 SAR imaging process. The experiment result can achieve more than 20× time speedups over CPU-based solution, and the FPGA hardware resources can be balanced.

An L band geosynchronous synthetic aperture radar (GEO SAR) will be sensitive to ionosphere scintillation because of its low carrier frequency. Meanwhile, because of the high orbit, GEO SAR has a higher probability to meet ionospheric scintillation. In this paper, we propose an orbit strategy for eliminating the impacts of ionospheric scintillation. It is realized by selecting a proper orbit element (time past perigee) to avoid imaging for the sensitive region of ionospheric scintillation during the eruption time interval of ionospheric scintillation with the highest probability. Finally, the simulation based on systems tool kit (STK) software was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the method.
