University library is an important building for teaching and *** atrium library has the characteristics of good lighting and flexible use,and the atrium structure was extensively ***,the fire in the atrium library will cause more serious *** this paper,we build a fire and evacuation model of a university atrium library and conduct a simulation *** with BIM technology,we restored the physical information of a university library and establish a fire *** was used to simulate the fire somke diffusion,and the smoke factors were analyzed to derive the available safe evacuation time(ASET).Pathfinder was used to simulate personnel evacuation,which determines the required safe evacuation time(REST).The simulation results show that the visibility of the smoke is the most important factor affecting personnel evacuation,and the personnel needs 108 s to evacuate the fire area and 291 s to enter the stairwell to *** the personnel in the library by area can shorten the evacuation time by about 74 *** study is expected to provide support for the fire simulation and personnel evacuation in atrium building.

In order to provide a better interior visual experience for visitors in ancient buildings, insufficient illumination and non-uniformity need to be solved urgently. DIALux software is used to simulate an ancient building to find out its problems, like non-uniformity and north-east corner illumination lack. By the use of controlling variable method, six different cases were proposed to optimize the lighting environment. The results show that case 3 and case 4 are chosen as the best cases to solve the defects. It is verified that the overall environment has better illumination and uniformity.

In response to the event's insidiousness, urgency, and gravity. An improved support vector machine model for energy consumption prediction is proposed to achieve efficient energy saving in buildings. In this paper, firstly, a gray correlation analysis model is used to measure the correlation between temperature, humidity, sunlight and other factors and building energy consumption. Secondly, the sparrow search algorithm (SSA) is introduced to optimize the penalty coefficient c and kernel function parameter g of the support vector machine, and then the SSA-SVM energy consumption prediction model is established. Finally, the experimental results are analyzed by comparing with the data derived from the support vector machine prediction (SVM) model and BP neural network energy consumption prediction. The experimental results show that compared with SVM and BP neural network, the prediction results of SSA-SVM model perform better in error index, indicating that the energy consumption prediction of SSA-SVM model has higher prediction accuracy; the maximum relative error of SSA-SVM prediction model is 0.0514, and the maximum relative errors of the other two models are greater than 0.55, indicating that SSA-SVM model has a higher degree of reliability.

The gas pressure needs to be regulated from high to low in transmitting certain industrial gases or natural gas according to the user's demand. To reduce the effects of disturbances caused by load fluctuations on the gas user side, this paper establishes a gas pressure energy recovery control system to generate electricity using an expander-driven generator. An Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC) is designed for the generator rotational speed process, and a model predictive controller (MPC) is developed for the torque/flux linkage process;they operate in a cascaded manner. The MPC in the secondary loop is used to overcome the system time delay characteristics, thus avoiding the generator torque and flux linkage deviation from their set-points caused by gas load variations. ADRC in the primary loop observes the system disturbances and compensates for them to determine the set-point of the torque, thus ensuring a stable generator rotational speed. The proposed control strategy is verified on a gas pressure energy recovery experimental platform. A comparison of experimental results with the five currently common generator control methods shows that the proposed strategy reduces the generator speed fluctuations and the harmonic components in the generator current. © 2024, The Authors. Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) is the stan-dard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). With the development of artificial intelligence, an increasing number of studies have begun to explore its application in cancer treatment prediction. However, the prior methods exhibit considerable variability even with slight modifications to the input data, which could potentially undermine the reliability of the results. In this paper, we proposed RP-Net, a novel multi-modal fusion-based framework that combines feature information from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and whole slide images (WSI), establishing a relationship to map the therapeutic effectiveness of nCRT for LARC. We investigated the relationship of the tumour region and its periphery tissues, and demonstrated the validity of the proposed framework that involving 11 different combinations of modalities. The experimental results revealed that it has achieved higher prediction accuracy compared to the four intra-categories single-modal combinations and outperformed the two intra-categories multi-modal combinations. When compared to the other four inter-categories multi-modal combinations, the fusion features get accuracy of 2 % ~ 6% improvement respectively.
