Nowadays,along with the development of mobile network,the network traffic is growing rapidly,including traffic between backbone *** are seriously puzzled by the explosive growth of traffic between backbone ***,the research and analysis of traffic characteristics between backbone networks becomes *** this paper,based on the Hadoop platform,we analyze the monthly traffic features of two provinces by using the real data collected by our self-developed traffic monitoring ***,we use SARIMA model to select a daily trace that can represent the monthly trace ***,through analyzing the distribution of packet counts,flow duration,and user online time and so on,we examine the basic traffic characteristics and user behavior characteristics from the perspective of flows.

The explosive growth of high-data-rate multimedia services, with diverse quality-of-service (QoS) requirements, in wireless networks will lead to enormous energy consumption. Thus, the main challenge in designing recent wireless networks is to utilize network resources as efficiently as possible while ensuring the QoS for users. In this paper, we investigate the energy-efficient power allocation with QoS considered in the downlink of wireless multimedia networks with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA). Firstly, energy-efficient power allocation problem is molded as the maximization of energy efficiency (EE) under different QoS requirements. Subsequently, an energy-efficient power allocation algorithm with chaotic particle swarm optimization (CPSO) is proposed. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can converge much faster, compared with water-filling power allocation (WFPA), but both of them improve the EE greatly, compared with equal-power power allocation (EPPA).

Due to the time-varying nature of wireless channels, deterministic quality of service (QoS) is hard to guarantee in wireless networks. In this paper, by integrating information theory with the principle of effective capacity, we formulate an energy efficiency optimization problem with statistical QoS guarantee in the uplink of two-tier femtocell networks. To solve the problem, we introduce a Q-learning mechanism based on Stackelberg game framework, in which macro-user acts as a leader, and knows all femto-users' transmit power strategy; while femto-users are followers, and only communicate with macrocell base station (MBS) not with other femtocell base stations (FBS). In Stackelberg game studying procedure, macro-user selects transmit power level firstly based on the best responses of femto-users, femto-users interact with environment directly, and find their best responses. At last, a distributed Q-learning algorithm is proposed. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm has a better performance in terms of convergence speed while providing delay QoS provisioning.

Envelope tracking (ET) is a significant technique to improve the efficiency of power amplifier (PA) in the power back-off region, especially in modern mobile communication system with a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Different ET implementation solutions, especially the way of choosing shaping table, have a great impact on the performance of ET system. In this paper, a transistor-level PA and a behavior-level supply modulator are introduced to analyze the performance of ET PA system. The power-added efficiency (PAE), AM-to-AM distortion, AM-to-PM distortion and Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR) are investigated to explain the impacts of different commonly-used shaping methods. Simulation results indicate that adopting ET technology increases the efficiency of RF PA largely, and the shaping methods applied in supply modulation will affect a lot in efficiency and linearity. Consequently, a new dualmode ET shaping method is proposed in this paper to guarantee high efficiency as far as possible without introducing too much distortions. Besides, it also improves the linearity where the PAE is at a lower level.

In order to cancel the common phase error (CPE) in OFDM system, a novel scheme employing differential polarization shift keying (DPOLSK) is proposed. In the proposed scheme, we use the phase difference between a couple of orthogonally polarized components to bear the data information at the transmitter. Moreover, at the receiver the constellation rotation caused by CPE could be effectively cancelled, by reversing the phase of one component which can make the direction of constellation rotation of two components opposite and equal, and then multiplying the two components. Numerical results and analysis show that the proposed scheme achieves the same spectral efficiency as the conventional scheme while outperforming in bit error rate (BER).

In Multilevel Polarization Modulation (MPM), the abrupt switching among the discrete Sates of Polarization (SOPs) brings discontinuity of signal waveforms, which will broaden bandwidth and decrease the bandwidth efficiency consequently. To alleviate the problem, in this paper a Multilevel Continuous Polarization Modulation (MCPM) scheme is proposed with continuous SOP to produce continuous signal waveforms. The signal is modulated at the transmitter with continuous SOPs by changing the amplitude ratio smoothly while keeping the phase difference constant, which are two basic elements of a SOP. At the receiver, the signal is demodulated based on the change of the amplitude ratio between the current and the former received SOP, which is extracted by the Stokes receiver. Furthermore, we evaluate the scheme with bandwidth efficiency and Symbol Error Rate (SER) of the received signal in an AWGN channel. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that when the fraction of the received signal power is 99%, the bandwidth efficiency of the MCPM is 21.87% better than the MPM. The MCPM, meanwhile, has about a 0.6dB lower requirement in per bit energy-to-noise ratio than the MPM at the same modulation order.

Macrocells may suffer serious interference induced by the deployment of co-channel femtocells. To mitigate the cross-interference, we design a novel price-based power control method, with each femtocell user's delay quality-of-service (QoS) provisioning, in uplink OFDMA two-tier femtocell networks. Assuming that the macrocell base station (MBS) protects itself by pricing the interference from femtocell users (FU), a Stackelberg game is formulated with a goal to reach the joint utility maximization of the macrocell and the femtocells subject to a maximum tolerable interference power at the MBS. The Nash Equilibrium (NE) of its non-cooperative subgame is found with optimization theory firstly, and then a particle swarm optimization (PSO) aided power allocation (PSO-PA) algorithm is proposed to achieve the final Stackelberg Equilibrium (SE). Simulation results show that our proposed power allocation algorithm can converge quite fast and bring much higher effective capacity (EC) at FU side.

Polarization-enabled Spectrum Sharing (PSS) that exploits the spectrum opportunities in polarization domain is deployed to balance between avoiding interference at the incumbent receiver and optimizing the throughput of secondary user. However, when it comes to wideband environments, PSS is impaired by the frequency-dependent Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) effect, thus the spectrum efficiency of PSS drops. Different from previous studies on PSS without taking the frequency-dependent depolarization effect into consideration, this work firstly analyzes the PMD effect and then proposes a cluster-based PSS approach to enable PSS on a narrower frequency span for LTE user. Since the width of the frequency span impacts both the environment learning time overhead and the PMD effect suffered by PSS, we analytically incorporate the PMD effect into LTE throughput and the interference at the incumbent receiver. By this means, the optimal number of subcarriers is derived to maximize the effective throughput for LTE users, subject to the interference power constraint at the incumbent receiver.

In this paper, we investigate the power control problem in the uplink of spectrum-sharing femtocell networks with delay quality of service (QoS) guarantees. Due to the time-varying nature of wireless channels, deterministic QoS is hard to be guaranteed in wireless networks. By integrating information theory with the principle of effective capacity (EC), we formulate an interference-aware power control problem with statistical QoS provisioning. To solve the problem, we firstly model the optimization problem as an exact potential game. Specially, a channel quality related pricing mechanism is presented to mitigate co-tier interference. Then the existence and uniqueness of Nash Equilibrium (NE) point is studied. Finally, a distributed optimal power control algorithm is proposed to implement the game. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm greatly improves EC of all femtocell user equipments (FUE).

Long Term Evolution (LTE) system used in High-Speed Railway (HSR) has gained the increasing attention therefore the measurements and analysis of the broadband wireless channel for the HSR communication is urgently needed. This paper focuses on the special fading characteristics of viaduct and hilly terrain scenarios based on the extensive and practical multiple input multiple output (MIMO) measurements which is conducted on Harbin-Dalian passenger dedicated railway line at 2.6 GHz with a bandwidth of 40 MHz. Here, we provide the power delay profiles as the first analytical results. Large-scale fading parameters such as path loss and shadow fading are given and discussed. As for small-scale fading, two similar but not identical K-factor models in different scenario are presented for comparison. Through the analysis on the two typical scenarios, this paper provides great guiding significance for promoting evaluation, simulation and design of the wireless communication system based on Long Term Evolution Railway (LTE-R).
