In this paper, a novel resource allocation with QoS guarantee and fairness (RAQF) scheme is considered for orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) two-way relay networks. Multiple source nodes exchange information with the assistance of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay node (RN) in the presence of an eavesdropper. A joint power allocation, subchannel allocation and subchannel pairing scheme is proposed, aiming to maximize the secrecy capacity for legitimate users, and fulfill the diverse quality of service (QoS) requirements for different users and guarantee the fairness. RAQF scheme formulates the optimization problem into a mixed integer programming problem, and then solve it with constrained particle swarm optimization (CPSO), binary CPSO (B CPSO) and classic Hungarian algorithm. Simulations are conducted to assess the effectiveness of the proposed strategies.

In the past few years, the network is an essential part in human's life. More and more people choose shopping, chatting and video online. All the online activities produce tons of data which contain our behavior characteristics. Traditional data analyses just focus on one kind of feature, while they neglect the behavior information generated by merging multiple features. Based on the basic data set, this paper provides a new method for analyzing data, called Compound Session. After acquiring the Compound Session data, we continue to process data from the perspective of enterprise user and produce three types of analysis tables. Due to huge amounts of data from more than two thousand enterprises, we propose to process data on the cloud computing platform called Hadoop.

With the rapid development of mobile Internet, numerous mobile services have become part of the people's life. Accordingly, the traffic rate generated by mobile devices are humongous and it is very hard to analyze its characteristics in traditional ways due to their scalability. This problem can be viewed as a big data problem and we develop a Hadoop-based system, Traffic Analysis system (TAS), to as the solution in this paper. Based on TAS, we analyze the real mobile Internet traffic data collected from a capital city in southern China. The analysis results illustrate the basic makeup of current mobile devices. In addition, it indicates that the users with different interests in different networks have quite different behaviors, which could provide important references for Internet service providers.

MapReduce is a developer-friendly framework that encapsulates the underlying complexities of distributed computing. It is increasingly being used across enterprises for advanced data analytics, business intelligence, and data mining tasks. But there are two questions bothering Hadoop users: how to improve the performance of MapReduce workloads, and how to estimate the time needed to run a MapReduce job. In this paper, we provide some performance optimization techniques on the premise of workload characterization. After the cluster achieving the best performance, we further propose a modeling method to help Hadoop users estimate the execution time of MapReduce jobs. For evaluation, typical benchmarks are utilized to evaluate the accuracy of our techniques.

Models of human mobility have broad application in fields such as mobile computing, network planning and resource preservation. In LTE network, the rapid increasing number of mobile broadband users requires the availability of enhanced data services and efficient mobility management. This paper focuses on service evolved Node B (eNodeB) prediction in LTE cellular network based on human mobility, and proposes a theoretical and factual method leveraging Hidden Markov Model (HMM). The usage of HMM allows us to consider trajectory characteristics of eNodeB accessed as unobservable parameters, and also the effects of individual's historical service eNodeBs. We experiment with factual data that derives from the real-world cellular network, and analyze how different parameters impact the prediction performance using control variate method. The result shows a prediction accuracy of 53% can be achieved. These findings are very significant for the location prediction problem. And the model exhibits more merit if adopted in factual communication system.

Device-to-device (D2D) communication is a promising technique of future cellular networks which can improve the system throughput and extend the battery lifetime of user equipments. However, enabling D2D communications in a cellular network causes interference because of spectrum sharing. In this paper, to mitigate the interference and make full use of the advantage of D2D communications, we propose a joint spectrum resource allocation and power control (RAPC) scheme to maximize the total throughput while guaranteeing the minimum required rate for both D2D users and cellular users. We formulate the optimization problem of resource allocation and power control and we obtain the near-optimal solution by quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) method, in which the quantum particles represent the solutions of resource allocation and power control. A penalty function is formulated to delete the infeasible solutions. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has a better performance on system throughput, power efficiency and minimum rate satisfactory than other schemes.

Nowadays, along with the development of mobile network, the network traffic is growing rapidly, including traffic between backbone networks. ISPs are seriously puzzled by the explosive growth of traffic between backbone networks. Therefore, the research and analysis of traffic characteristics between backbone networks becomes essential. In this paper, based on the Hadoop platform, we analyze the monthly traffic features of two provinces by using the real data collected by our self-developed traffic monitoring system. Besides, we use SARIMA model to select a daily trace that can represent the monthly trace best. Then, through analyzing the distribution of packet counts, flow duration, and user online time and so on, we examine the basic traffic characteristics and user behavior characteristics from the perspective of flows.

With various cloud services emerging in data center networks, network congestion and load imbalance are seriously caused by elephant flows. To resolve this problem, a load balancing mechanism based on software defined networking (SDN) for elephant flows is proposed. The mechanism obtains the topology and status of the entire network via global view of SDN. Then it splits and sends elephant flows through multiple paths based on the ratios which are dynamically computed by taking account of the states of links. Finally, the system prototype is implemented in OpenFlow testbed. The results show the proposed mechanism can significantly enhance the performance of the network by improving the network throughput and link utilization.

Recently green communications in Heterogeneous networks has attracted extensive attention. To improve Energy Efficiency (EE) in the premise of maintaining the throughput, we propose an energy-efficient time-power domain resources allocation algorithm. From the aspect of time domain, we propose an adaptive Almost Blank Subframe (ABS) configuration scheme to provide each sector a proper ABS ratio. From the aspect of power domain, we propose a utility function to improve network EE and maintain the throughput of macrocell edge User Equipments (UEs) as well. The existence of the optimal solution to the utility function is proved, and Differential Evolution (DE) is applied to find the optimal solution. system level simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the network EE, and a recommended value of Cell Range Expansion (CRE) bias is given under the consideration of both EE and fairness.

In recent years, the scale of mobile Internet is rapidly increasing because of the explosive growing of smartphone users and applications. The traffic analysis and anomaly detection become critical for mobile operators. Up to now, there are a number of studies for detecting anomaly network traffic. However, the way of detecting anomalies on massive traffic data in real-time manner is not well studied. In this paper, we propose a real-time anomaly detection method based on dynamic k-NN cumulative-distance abnormal detection algorithm. We also present the design and implementation of the method by leveraging Strom, a distributed steam computing technology. Experimental results from evaluation by real-world dataset show that our system is a promised solution for real-time anomaly detection solution in high-speed network.
